Main Garage Doors

This is a follow up to my original review. After a less than stellar review of their customer service, owner Oren reached out to me. He wanted to understand what fell through and what could have been done better to make me a satisfied customer. I appreciated his honesty, sincerity and willingness to hear constructive criticism from the customers perspective.

While the purchase has been completed he still wanted to know if there was anything he could do or if I had any other material needs he could help with. I felt his genuineness in wanting to make things right. During our discussion he recommended a particular wood sealer to use on the mahogany door since it would protect and enhance the life. I asked if he was willing to comp me this as a measure of good faith and he agreed. I think it says a lot when words are backed up with actual dollars. Thank you for trying to correct a previously unpleasant experience.

We enjoyed working with Meital and Lux from the very beginning. In a time of supply shortages and transportation difficulties she made our purchase smooth. She helped find a very good installer and the doors were outstanding. Thanks to her.

We ordered a custom door from LUX in June 2021. Brian, our sales person was forthcoming right up front about the supply issues and the overall long expected leadtimes that they were experiencing. Nonetheless we placed our order. The order ended up taking more than twice the time to produce that was forecast, however I knew that this was the case industry wide for custom orders having spoken with two independant sources (installers) so that is not LUX's fault.

Note that they are not a manufacturer, so it is in their interest to supply doors as quickly as possible. Customer service was prompt in following up to my questions, figuring out shipping solutions to my distant location and resolving some minor shipping damage issues. The door looks beautiful.

This is a follow up to my earlier review. The company did contact me and made an effort to help with a bad situation. Meital Cohen promptly found an installer for us who came out quickly and did a very competent and professional jobs putting the garage doors in place and reconnecting our existing garage door openers. One of the springs for the door assembly was the wrong size so we had to scramble to locate a replacement but in the end the doors look beautiful.

I am reserving judgment about how they will perform but the company was responsive in the end. I can only guess that during covid there were disruptions in their supply channel that resulted in a series of execution problems with respect to our order.

Beautiful doors, high quality craftsmanship, outstanding service, Eyal designed a perfect set of 3 doors, he was highly professional and very pleasant to deal with. He took charge of the entire process and ensured my full satisfaction till the doors installation was completed. Companies succeed for employees like him. There are not enough good words I can say about Eyal, his company can be proud of him. I highly recommend this company. I am very happy with the doors and the entire experience.

The team at Lux did a a great job working with me to design the perfect garage door, including changing the spec. quickly after we later chose not to use glass. Before they started construction, their local install partner in the Bay Area visited my home and determined that my garage wasn't well-suited for a heavier wooden door, at which point Lux refunded my deposit immediately.

Working with the Lux Team was outstanding. Purchased an 18' X 7' wood doors. Workmanship is outstanding, material quality solid and a perfect fit. I have to add, the workmanship of the 20' wooden shipping crate was very well built. My doors were greatly protected in their crate. I'm on the East Coast and Lux is on the West Coast, shipping was important. Everything I asked, their team did with excellent!

The garage door is beautiful and service has been excellent. If we had any questions, personnel were prompt and very helpful. I highly recommend this company.

Update (3/09/21): I am updated my review from 1 star to 2 stars. Meital from the company reached out to me and got the delivery to me the second week of February. But not before I had to speak to two separate people at the delivery service. So at the end of the day, I got my garage door 16.5 weeks from when I ordered it, not 8 weeks originally promised.

I have yet to install the door. I will update the review as appropriate after the installation on the quality of the door. ORIGINAL REVIEW (2/10/21): Bottom Line: If you have a project to get done on a schedule (like I do), then do not order from this company. Terrible communications, no accountability, and failure to follow-through. The long version: I ordered my doors in October 2020.

I have still yet to get them, 4 months later in February 2021. For my project, time was of the essence, so I checked before I placed the order. They initially gave me an 8 week turnaround - standard. When I called 8 weeks later, because they had not contacted me to confirm delivery, I get a song and dance (from a customer rep type, not the sales rep I dealt with originally) that production time was doubled.

But of course, they didn't tell me until I contacted them first, and after I had already waited 8 weeks for the doors. It's now 8 weeks weeks since then, or 16 weeks after the order - and still no door! Just spoke to the haul company, and they tell me that this won't be delivered for another week as they just got it from the factory themselves yesterday.

So yet another delivery window missed by at least two more weeks. Bottom Line: If you have a project to deliver on a schedule (like I do), then do not order from this company.

I ordered two front doors for a custom home I'm building in San Clemente. The doors were exactly as pictured and they were delivered on time without a hitch. Excellent quality and a very good price. I will definitely recommend Lux doors to friends and family.

Superior service and an exceptional product! After finally making the decision to invest in a quality wood door, I searched locally and I was quite disappointed with the garage doors and shocked at the pricing. I was fortunate enough to find Lux Garage on the internet. They have the most "honest" website that gives complete price visibility. Their customer service reps are knowledgeable in terms of product specifications and at helping you find the best value for your needs. After installing the garage door, it exceeded my very high expectations. The only negative is that your neighbors will be jealous.

Krystyn Embry is terrific. If your looking for awesome doors for $1000 less than Home Depot this is your company. I highly recommend them.
