Asap Electric

We bought a single family home that was built in 1930's. The electric wiring was outdated and I wasn't comfortable moving in since the house inspection had highlighted some safety concerns. We hired ASAP Electric staff Rick Carlson. He was very knowledgeable, hard working, and efficient. It was quite a major undertaking that involved shutting the power off and changing the electric panel. They completed the job in record time!

I called another recommended electrician, who no longer provide residential service. They recommended ASAP. I called at 11:00, and the young woman took my information and said Rick would be out after 3:00. He called just before 4:00, apologized for being so late, and arrived in minutes. Again, he apologized for being late. Frankly, I didn't expect them to do more than call at late notice.

He and his apprentice got right to it. In about 30 minutes, we were back on, no hard sell, made a few reasonable recommendations and done. Apologized again for the wait, only $205. I have read both recommendations and complaints and I honestly wonder what people expect. These people work for a living and deserve to be paid. I fully expected a fee for coming here and a fee for the work. None of it was unreasonable and I am so grateful for the rapid arrival and service, I cannot say enough. This is my go to electrical service from now on.

Useless, helpless staff. I highly doubt their electricians are licensed.

The breaker /meter box on our house was at least 40 years old. The smart meter failed and caused damage to the box. Rick over at ASAP electric was able to pull permits the next day and the day after that had the box replaced as well as fix a few other pre existing wiring issues we had. Great work and fair pricing.

Find someone else to do work with. Business is no good and isn't a man of his word. Takes advantage of people

If you want to get taken advantage of go with ASAP Electric! Please shop around especially all of you senior citizens and people with no knowledge on how electrical circuits work. A 2 hour job cost me $1000 so just my luck I was not there to fix it myself! Shop around and don't be taken for your hard earned money All elderly please be aware! Shop around!

Had this guy come out and showed him what we wanted done installing 2 electric appliances in our home. He said he would take measurements and email us the next day. As soon as he walked outside he drove off without doing any measurements at all. That was last week and we havent heard anything from this company since. Use a different company that wont waste your time.

We lost half our power in our house we ended up calling our home warranty company who called out a company, they sent a technician out who was unable to diagnose the problem and left without restoring the power. It turned out this company contacted our home warranty company and turned in a false report and my claim was denied. I called ASAP Electric, Rick responded immediately, diagnosed the problem and had the power restored within a couple of hours. Rick documented everything he had done including getting city permits.

I appealed the decision by my home warranty company and submitted what Rick had provided me. So besides having our problem fixed, our home warranty company reversed their decision and paid the $2,850.00 to replace the electric panel. Since that time we have used ASAP Electric at our youth center. I highly recommend ASAP Electric for any of your needs. They provide quality work and quality service.

Extremely knowledgeable and professional electricians. I highly recommend this company! I have a 1930 Craftsman home, an ASAP understood the safety of the old wiring (knob and tube) and placing in new wiring. They upgraded my electrical box along with the rewiring. I have been installing brand new HVAC into this old house and they came out ASAP to solve one of our electrical issues with the HVAC. Amazing fast professional service. Experienced electrician are difficult to come by, this is the best company.

We have used ASAP for years and today's experience with Josh and Ray underscored why we always call them. In addition to some bathroom fans we had a fairly complex light fixture installation. Josh explained every step and was so patient as I worked through the design adjustments. PLUS they thoroughly cleaned up each of the areas; Josh even vacuumed up some errant styrofoam bubbles. Thanks again. We will do the outside work when it is cooler.

The response was within an hour when I requested emergency assistance. They provided an estimate and fully explained what they were going to do. The work was outstanding, exceeding my expectations. Everything was done to bring it up to code and no issues with inspection. I will need additional electrical work for another project and I definitely will be contacting them.

Joshua from ASAP came over today and did a lot of work, mostly troubleshooting, which he said he enjoys doing. He was able to repair things quickly, and he took the time to explain things to us. Josh was great! Based on this experience, I give ASAP 5 stars.

Three stars because they charge $150 just to come out and give a quote. As I don't want to pay that much for a quote, I can't attest to their actual work product. On to the next company.

Came over within 45 minutes, inspected the damage and quoted a fair price. The crew arrived at 7:00 the next morning as promised and completed the work that day. They even obtained the permit and arranged for the inspections. Fast, fair, and competent.

We made an appointment for some lighting repairs. They actually showed up 5 minutes early, got the job done promptly and charged reasonable rates. We'll be using them again in the future.

I had a horrible experience with this company. The secretarial staff is horrible. One doesn't relay messages to the electricians and the other one is extremely rude when you talk to her. I would not use this business if you plan on getting California approved codes. They said they will not sign off on things that they dislike even if California law approves of it. Granted I only talked with the secretary so the actual electrician may better understand coding then the possibly less educated other staff.

I called ASAP Electric when I was having problems with a couple of light switches, they were able to come out the same day, they fixed the problem and actually fixed a few more that I had forgotten about. My mom gave me their number because of how wonderfully they treated her and my grandmother. They were completely honest with all three of us about what needed to be fixed and the price was more than fair. I have more work that I will be doing and I will be calling them.

Tried to schedule work to be done. Would only work Monday through Thursday. Between 8 and 4. We pushed the work out two weeks to a Thursday at 4 pm. He called the day before to say he was going to show up at 8am. Not a request, just a statement. I told him that's not really how customer service works. I would understand if I blocked off all the days, but I have him the choice of any time of day Friday to Sunday.

He said "i don't care, call someone else then." Then he hung up on me. I wouldn't recommend this guy. In fact. If it's not the owner of this business. Maybe he should be in a different line of work.

I called early and the electrician called back later. I needed some fluorescent bulbs and the ballast replaced in my bathroom. Steve came promptly, surveyed the problem, was polite and helpful, went to get the parts, upgraded and fixed the problem, was efficient, and solved my problem. The charges were reasonable. I would call him again.

Do not. I repeat do not call this company. Did not fix or even find problem the first time.tried to get my 84 year old mother to spend $900.00 on what proved to be an unnecessary job after being called back.threatened to leave 1/2 done job when questioned about the specifics of the work.almost made her cry.

The employee's here are just wonderful. I was informed of all the work that needed to be done. They were very nice, informative, ON TIME and efficient. I would recommend using this company if you need electrical work done. This is an honest trustworthy company and I would be more than happy to work with them again!

I called 4:30 on a Monday. Rick and his his helper arrived on the dot, 7 am Wednesday. He surveyed half a dozen issues my handyman was unable to deal with while his helper went to work immediately on the first problem. All was resolved in 90 minutes. No standing about chatting for them. Bim, bam, boom! Rick is a CA licensed electrical contractor. More expensive than a handyman, and to me worth every penny of it.
