I met with a gentleman from this company to get an estimate for a fence at our new house. I had to leave work to meet with him at the property to go over what we were looking for. We walked the perimeter of the property in drizzly, wet weather - and he gave me his card and said he would send over an estimate and I never heard from him again. I called the office about three weeks later to follow up and left a message and again, no one bothered to respond. We found someone else to do the work but I am disappointed that this company wasted my time.

Asked for a quote in October for a dual swing iron gate. Sent the estimator on-site in November. After calling reception 4 times again to get the estimate/contract, finally got the contract with wrong drawing in start of January. Called the estimator multiple times for correction to which he replied that he would send it the same day. Now it's February and still haven't heard back from them. Not sure how long it would take them to finish a project if just sending a estimation takes more than 4 months.

I called for an estimate to add an 8' wide by 6' tall section of clear cedar fencing to an existing fence. So this would entail 8' of boards and just one additional post. The quote came in at $2600+. I was appalled and of course convinced I was being bamboozled so I asked for a breakdown. The labor costs, the estimator told me, were for 2 men for 7 hours at $247 per hour!
To construct an 8' section of fencing? 14 hours of labor? And then $600+ for materials. All City Fencing has a right to charge whatever they want. But if you get an estimate from them, be sure to get a second opinion! These guys are out for every penny they can squeeze out of you if you're gullible enough to bite. I'm convinced they tried to cheat me, either because I'm an older single woman or because of my zip code or both, but shame on them. Go elsewhere is my advice. Buyer beware.

After some delay in getting an onsite estimate appointment arranged, Rick Clarke arrived & was great to work with. He explained the fence project and what was needed to make it successful. In fact, I did not end up hiring All City Fence because Rick confirmed a critical issue about the retaining wall that others had also observed but I had not previously considered its impact the new fence.
I decided to replace the retaining wall as well as the fence, but rather than attempt to manage coordination between a contractor replacing the retaining wall and a contractor constructing the fence, I decided to go with a contractor who will do both of these jobs as well as correct the grade of the backyard. All City Fence's estimate was very detailed and clearly stated the work they would do and the work that others needed to accomplish.
Their estimate was at the high end of the range of estimates I obtained. However, over the decades All City has installed fences at two previously owned Seattle properties. When I drive by my former homes, the fences are still plumb and in good condition. I think I've seen other reviews that complained about the lack of All City Fence responsiveness to requests for estimates. to those I say, be patient and factor that into the timeline of your project.
For others that complain about not getting the fence they thought was agreed, I say, negotiation for the fence you want starts with the onsite meetings and happens before you sign the contract. The person who does the estimate is not the person(s) who constructs the fence. So, get the language in the contract as thorough as possible before you sign on the dotted line and the work begins.

These guys are TOTAL TIME WASTERS. I waited 6 weeks to schedule an estimate and they didn't even bother sending it to me. It's just a simple home fencing job, and they didn't even have the decency to send it through, or let me know they are too busy. I don't mind waiting for work to be done, but these guys intentionally wasted my time.

All City Fence installed a beautiful fence for me! Mario my estimator was great, and gave me a much more affordable fencing option than other company's I was finding. He even brought up some issues I would not have known about to make my fence last longer. The builders Christopher and Art installed just what I wanted, exactly as I wanted it installed. The company really does put the customer first, they want the customer to be happy and I am!

Hello, I am thinking about cancelling my fence job I am having some concerns about the customer service i have received. Quote from Kurt Nielsen 1. Inappropriately asked me how much my wife and I paid for my house. I just felt so awkward when he asked that and I have no idea why he did. Its so inappropriate for a grown man to ask another grown man (stranger) how much he paid for his house, how much money he makes per hour, how much money he has in the bank. 2. Didnt let me know about the schedule.
I called last monday and he told me he would email me the next day. Still havent heard back in a week. I need to know the schedule because i have other logistics to schedule. For a $6000 90' fence ($66/ft) I was just expecting a more professional service. Please check your reviews there are other complaints about Kurt mentioned on a quick google search of your company, yet he is still working for you? Please call me back as soon as possible I was excited to have you guys do this fence by i am so disappointed that I am sadly going to have to cancel here.

BUYER BEWARE! They charge a minimun charge for 2 hours which is $450 dollars which they do not tell you! A JOKE! Oh and dont waste your time talking to the owner Rick. He really doesnt care how his customers feel or how there getting ripped off even though the dispatcher never gave a minimum price for a 2 hour visit. I would have never booked! Period. with those rates. Embarrassing Rick!

Well I can't review the custom fence part of this business, since I haven't used All City Fence for a fence, I can and will review them as a material supplier. I had to purchase some galvanized steel fence posts and have them cut to length. I spoke on the phone with Mr. Cheng in the material sales department. He was very helpful, answered my questions, and helped me place a order I was able to wait for while their warehouse team cut the material to size. I will be back for more posts and supplies in the future!

I met with Kurt Nielsen for a client job on Nov 12th to get an estimate. Kurt was fine and said he would have the bid to me thby Friday at the latest. Friday came and went and when I called he was all pissed off that the company was doing inventory work and would bent be available for a bid. I asked if he used the same product all the time and he said yes.
I ask if he could give the ball park per lineal foot and he said no. the price changes all the time too. hmmmm. I never received a bid, Then today I got a text message saying the company was going to pass on the job. this was a job in the range of 32,000. I called the owner and have received no work back as to the reason. I assume its because I questioned their pricing practices. Happy to go elsewhere.

I got an estimate/quote and during the quote process the salesman shared his very racist views about "the other people". So I have to pass on the quote and company. Fascinating that racism exists so blatantly. Surely it may have been the humans view and not the company - however it is not acceptable. Shining an light on things that should be illuminated. The quote was correct, a bit expensive, and I likely would have accepted the quote and had All City do the work, except this one unacceptable fact.

I needed an estimate as someone took my fence down with their car. I sent a new submission form by email on Sat. They responded Monday the 17th. These guys did work for me before but this is the response I got. 1) what zip and city? 2) Current openings to view your vehicle damage are as follows: Wed July 10 & Thu July 11 at 1PM or 2Pm Fri July 12 at 2PM It has gotten busier earlier this year.
Let me know if the above appointments will work for you. Perhaps you can email a photo of the damage. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? (June 17 is today) Really? an estimate not the work. But really?

Today they were installing a fence around a trash compactor in the middle of the parking lot at the apartment building I live in. Instead of requesting people move their cars they decided to just cover everyone's vehicle in concrete debris. I called to report it and the receptionist just told me she will let them know. Great? That doesn't take care of the fact that I have no idea how to get this off my car without scratching the paint. perhaps I should call my car insurance and let them deal with these clowns instead?

I had a great experience working with Rick. He came to give us an estimate for fencing our yard. He was prompt and the back and forth communication was excellent when completing the bid. He has over 30 years of experience and truly has an eye for detail. Our yard is very hilly and he helped visualize the project.

The work was adequate, but not equivalent to the price. The horizontal pieces on four of the sections were too short to reach post-to-post, and instead of using pieces that were long enough, they just used some longer nails. If all that came of that was that the nails were exposed, that wouldn't be that big of a deal, but the horizontal pieces on two of those sections have now split and fallen away from the post, and I'm going to have to pay to get them repaired. I will pay someone, it just won't be All City Fence.

All City is currently installing our fence. This is an expensive metal fence, and should have taken just a few days to install. Two weeks into the job, and they have made little progress. They show up at 10:00 and leave at 1:00 on the days they bother to show at all, and spend much of their time on breaks. Wish we had contracted with someone else!

When they replaced the backyard fence next door they took out a length of the front fence they were supposed to leave. The supervisor specifically told me they had no orders to remove it and would not touch it. The next afternoon it was gone and they won't fix their mistake unless we pay them to put it back.

Don't bother. We have an 11 year old simple cedar fence that we wanted replaced. We received several bids from different companies. All City was the last to actually show up, even though we contacted them first and when their bid came in it was DOUBLE what any other company quoted at $13,000; that included another company where we requested an additional quote for an upgraded slat fence.
I contacted the company via email and asked if perhaps they misunderstood what we wanted or if possibly they had measured incorrectly (as the house behind us was recently removed and doesn't have a fence). The company emailed me that they had forwarded my email to Rick Clarke and he responded with "thanks for the opportunity". I am not sure how they have stayed in business so long, but it certainly isn't for great customer service or low prices.

Got the fence of my dreams with three gates and pleasant experience working with top-notch company All City Fence. I looked at fences of many styles and in every condition and got five estimates from contractors to be confident I'd get the best materials and a good result for my money. Rick Koch did the estimate, answered questions; I thought some more and he came out again. Impressed.
Job manager David, great communication with neighbor re: shared fence. Builders Morton and Tommy clarified specs re: everything, plus mature camellia interrupting fence line, etc. Fence is beautiful and well crafted. Team (including office) listened carefully, answered questions, made solid suggestions, got it straight, built it right. Integrity and good warranty. Highly recommend.

I have to say All City Fence saved us! They went the extra mile to come out the same day, to do a gate repair at my childcare center! Others told me they were two weeks out on scheduling. We can't take that risk, when the safety of children plays into it. Thank you All City, for your immediate response and the great repair job!

This review is for the material sales department only. I wanted to build my fence and gates myself, and found that All City sells materials if you want to do that. I went in and talked to Joe Cheng, and he was very helpful and gave me prices for everything and took me in the warehouse to show me the quality of the wood they sell. I ended up buying clear (no knots) cedar boards and posts from them and their prices for that high quality wood was less than lowe's/HD and for better wood (all of the boards at those big stores were pretty rough looking and had lots of grain and knots). Also, the 4x4 post-on-pipe they sell (they drill out the bottom of the post and lag bolt a large 3ft metal pipe into the bottom) are super easy to install and the wood won't rot because it doesn't touch the ground. Highly recommend checking them out for supplies if you want to DIY.
