In 1950, Mr. Clyde Nettles joined forces with Sabin Nettles and Neclause Porth to form a roofing, painting, and minor carpentry repair company. These men worked hard to establish a reputation of quality workmanship and excellent customer service. Today, Clyde Nettles Roofing and Painting is one of the most well-known and respected names in roofing, painting, and home improvements in the Columbia area.

When Mr. Nettles retired in 1983, the Porth family purchased the business, and they remain the owners to this day. When Tony Porth, the oldest son of Neclause Porth, took over, he promised Mr. Nettles he would never do anything to tarnish the Nettles name and reputation of excellence.
