The Green Panel

We decided to go with The Green Panel on a smaller multifamily new build and couldn't be happier. Tara and the team at The Green Panel were beyond helpful from start to finish and provided a ton of guidance for a PV first timer. They turned out beautifully and am looking forward to the long term benefits these panels will provide.

I absolutely love this company! Quality service from sale to install to follow up. The energy I've saved in a month is huge. I own the panels that are guaranteed for 25 years up to 85%. The Tesla battery back up is guaranteed for 10 years, but they told me it will more than likely work up to 20. I watched them do a job before I purchased to see how they worked. Clean, friendly and efficient.

That other pink company wants almost double the money and actually had to change their name because of all the complaints. I am extremely happy with the system, company, service, and the app. You can chose so many options on the app for using grid or backup power. Best investment for my home and the numerous power outages I get in my area! You won't be disappointed!

No pushy sales, just facts! Price is worth every penny and there's great rebates and tax credits. They do all of the work, pulling permits, interconnection, and getting the rebates, all you have to do is enjoy the comparison between solar and saving on your energy bill. If I moved into another house without solar? I would definitely hire them again.

This company has been fantastic to deal with. We had solar plus Tesla Powerwalls installed. Excellent quality work. All the equipment very cleanly and professionally installed and looks great on and in our home. They were vey communicative and incredibly easy to deal with through the whole process. All of the meployees and professional and very friendly too.

I researched solar for some time (summer/fall 2021) before coming finding The Green Panel Team. tried to talk with 6 different contractors on this. screened down to 3 but only Green Panel gave me confidence. signed agreements Late November 2021 and installed 1Q22. 33 panel and 1 Tesla power II battery. Every step of the process was excellent. From original contact of "Eric" through the installation. They have a very skilled set of installers too. I couldn't be happier. Sales team was responsive and helpful developing plan. Power walls look good. The batteries are all installed well. Communication after contracts signed was nonexistant. I understand the frustrations with permitting. Some update or response to repeated inquiries would have been nice. Only time I heard from them repeatedly was when they wanted payment in full before a completed electrical inspection. Frustrating to say the least.

I originally was trying to do some research on Panasonic solar panels because we have frequent power outages and the outage that began my search was one that ruined hundreds of dollars of food in our freezer. The search put me in touch with The Green Panel. They offered to give us a free quote. Our Sales Engineer, Ashton came to our house and provided us with product information and different setups we could choose.

He made a recommendation after our discussion. After several days of back and forth and asking many, many follow up questions we came to a final decision. We scheduled our install date. The crew came and did a very professional install and were in and out in a day. Our system has 12 Panasonic solar panels and a Tesla Powerwall. The site manager and crew were great.

We are very grateful that we made our purchase. We have had probably 6 power outages since the install 7 months ago but have never been without power. The Powerwall has a couple of awesome features. It will charge from the grid if there is a storm warning. You can also set up a minimum charge level that it will not go under unless there is a power outage. Once we had the proposal honed in, The Green Panel was exceptional from contacts to installation to follow-up. I received a few quotes from different sources. My neighbor, a 12 year solar user and retired engineer, reviewed all proposals for me. I was concerned that the panels would affect the appearance of my house, but people hardly notice them. The matte plain black finish almost disappears. Even the Inspector for Consumers Power said The Green Panel always does excellent work!

We had a great experience with The Green Panel installing 10 solar panels, two Tesla Powerwalls, and managing the entire process. They were the most responsive and professional of all the companies we received quotes from and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for solar panels. Tara was a great rep to work with and patiently answered all of our questions to help us decide on the best system for our home.

The Green Panel has a separate "interconnection" team that managed the permitting process with the city as well as the interconnection process with the utility company, both of which went about as fast as reasonably expected during the holidays.

My experience with The Green Panel, Inc. was fantastic from initial contact, quoting, contract signature, permitting and interconnection application processes, pre-install visit, installation, and follow up. They responded quickly to my initial inquiries and answered all of my questions (Tara H. was great). Out of the several companies I contacted they took the time to review my property and provided me the requested quotes for both roof mount and ground mount to allow me to evaluate which option I felt was best (I selected ground mount installation for my situation).

The quote was clear and the price was among the better priced for the quality of the equipment. Also, they knew how to correctly handle adding a solar system to a house with a whole house backup generator as the solar system can't back feed into the generator when the generator is operating. The electrical inspector commented that the electrical work they did was excellent. I'm very happy I selected The Green Panel, Inc. for my solar installation and highly recommend them.

NOT IMPRESSED how they handle their customers. Put a deposit down in July and within a few weeks someone came to our place to say it could be done where we wanted the solar panels. Then week or two later another person came over to measure and see where we wanted it. He wanted us to put it on our roof but that is not the best place to get sun rays.

My husband gave them dates when it would be good to put it on and gave dates when we would be on vacation. Week or two later we received notice they want to come and put it in during our vacation and we said no. We want to be there. Weeks went by with no future date picked and no one would return our numerous calls to set something up. Finally a date in September we got ahold of a person who could set a date for installation.

The first available date is in October. The day for insulation came and no one here. My husband called and after awhile got a call back in the afternoon that they will come out tomorrow. But of course no time was mentioned. Why couldn't they inform us on the change. So when they are ready to start work they now told us my kiwi arbor had to go.

Both times when they were out it wasn't an issues. Now I have to just cut them down instead of trying to move the arbor and plants. The boxes to the house were to be inside but there a change. And I have to have them outside on my brick house. Not at all what was discussed. Before we can turn the switch to on we need Consumer Power come out which won't happen for a month due to their lack of planning and notifying Consumers since we will be out of town which Green Panel knew long in advance.

Now it's November and I still do not have it turned on. They want all the money before they will notify Consumers. $30,000 and they are worried about $1,600 I'm still waiting on the broom for the panels. They may know their stuff but they inform customers incorrectly and think it's fine Oh yeah I had to pay thousands and thousands for something I can NOT use yet.

There has to be other companies that are better to their customers I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL It is November 20 and still waiting for a broom to get the snow off. We have had already 8 inches of snow.

I have had Green Panel add on onto my existing system about four years ago. Their price was very competitive and their work was excellent. However, what was outstanding was their service afterward. Some of the mini-inverters from my original system started to fail. I wanted to avoid the cost of having them replaced. The inverters themselves was still under warranty so there was no cost there.

I told Green Panel I thought I could replace the mini-inverters. The did all of the leg work for me to claim my replacements under warranty without charge. They also reconfigured my internet site showing the new inverters without charge. I know this was a fair amount of work that I offered to pay for and they declined my offer. They have done other things to help me save money, Solar panels are a big investment but Green Panel does everything they can do to keep the cost down. I have recommended them to several people.
