Global Solar Initiative

Global Solar Initiative (GSI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Washington DC with offices in Cambridge, MA and Zurich, Switzerland. We are the only nonprofit with a strategic approach to blending different renewable energy technologies. GSI is not tied to any specific technology or provider like other nonprofits and businesses.

Rather, we are able to combine elements from 48 different renewable technologies, including solar, wind, geothermal, biomass and hydropower, that will most appropriately fit our individual project's needs. This "blending" of technologies allows for the most reliable as well as cost-efficient solution for every project in every region.
