Tile Center opened its doors in April, 1961 for the very first time on Broad Street in Augusta, GA. What started as a 900 square foot building downtown, has now expanded to 5 locations within the company. Bill Jackson, Sr. ran the original business as the only full-time employee. Decades later, the company employs 28 workers in the distribution of tile, natural stone, and tile setting materials.Our various locations are tailored to serve the needs of the people in each market. As a result, our stores do not carry or stock all of the same products, and we are able to carry the largest selection of tile and natural stone in the area.

Pebble tiles are the foundation of Island Stone and they have announced a new design to the pebble tile line. World of difference in the employees and delivery than another stone place in Evans near my house. My stones were delivered intact and on the pallets so I didn't have a mess with broken pallets, wire fencing material in disarray and rocks across my driveway and the neighbors yard. Staff was friendly and nice. I recommend.

Sadly, they don't have their own installers. They just hand you a list of installers and wash their hands. But, you really need an installer first, to look at what you have at home and advice you, and also measure the area and help you with buying the right amount of material. A top notch store would have that.

Needed stones for a turtle pond we were building in our back yard. The Stone Yard (which is part of the Tile Center) was very helpful in finding the right stones for the job. My wallet was very happy about the price we paid as well. The gentlemen that provided the customer service were kind, courteous, and very patient as we were unsure of what exactly we wanted. I am new to the Aiken area. In the middle of a complete home Reno. No fun, but the Tile Center has been very patient with me. Started communicating with Diane. She was the beginning and finished strong with Julie Kerr. Thank you ladies. After so many delays over the last year because of personal reasons ( not the Tile Center) I returned to make my final decisions.
Now after all this time I presented a 3 week timeline and Julie made it happen with all my priority selections. Yeah and thank you. She met my demands and made it fun! Thank you.

Rude and unprofessional staff. Tried to call and get a quote and the lady was more then rude to me. Called another company down the street and within a few mins had all the info I needed. Will never do business with them. I had all the info needed to give me quote. The person was just rude and just seemed bother to be asked for a quote. Hired another company that very same day and got awesome work done at a great price.

The staff here at Tile Center are also helpful and friendly! I was blown away by their selection and knowledge of the different kinds of tile and stone. I mean, I know they are professionals, but wow! The lady who helped me was Julie and she really took my ideas and made them into a design of my dreams! I will be recommending them to all of my friends (and you!)

Great selection and much appreciated recommendations in tile selection. This is a great tile store. Kevin, Tija and Patty have been so helpful in steering me to better tile selections and my rooms look amazing. Tija was a joy to work with and has a great eye that helped me find perfect floor, accent and backsplash tiles. They stayed on top of my orders to get them in expeditiously. Tile Center is a no brainer when looking for tile.
Their expertise helped me avoid what could have been some costly mistakes as well as time delays. I truly felt like I was their only customer with their attention to detail. Absolutely would recommend them.

I stopped in here this morning to hand pick some stones for my massage practice. Almost immediately, I was approached by Glen, who offered to help me find exactly what I was looking for. I wasn't there to buy pallets of stones, to spend gobs of money, but I was treated like I mattered and my needs were met and then some! I failed to properly plan and had nothing to put the stones in, so Glen found me a sturdy box to use.
After we collected all the stones, Glen brought them over via forklift to my vehicle and gave me the ticket to take inside for payment. Lisa was wonderful, funny and made the transaction smooth and easy. I will most definitely shop here again and I recommend other do, too!
