Beacon Builders

Contractors have been building 3 homes on W Boheny St., Bloomington, IN. Multiple issues. 1. Trashy worksites. Trash blowing all over our neighborhood my yard included. Contractors don't pick up there scrap pieces and let them blow around to neighboring homes. Nails and staples found out it in the road. We thought the contractor was responsible for maintaining a clean work environment.

This isn't happening. 2. Stole water from our outside spigots without asking. I've had to put locks on our spigots to prevent further theft. 3. Contractors drinking alcohol on the job. Multiple alcohol cans found on site. 4. Contractors have zero respect for our property. We have video proof of them walking through our yard and landscaping rocks. Our lawn in private property and your contractors shouldn't be anywhere on our property. This company doesn't care and it is obvious. I'm sure the quality of their homes will mirror the quality of their worksites.

Overall our experience has been a positive one. Adam, Tina, and our realtor Barry were all very accommodating and made the process very easy. We're in our first year of ownership and there have been a few warranty claims due to some oversights made by the general contractors, but each has been handled quickly and professionally by Beacon. I love our home!

Beacon Builders were amazing during our entire purchase. From start to finish, they were always attentive, quickly responding, and made us feel important. I would recommend them to all my family and friends. Anyone looking for a Beacon Builders built home is going to get something amazing!

We bought a home from Beacon Builders one year ago and We found the perfect lot for our home. When We went to our appointment to design our home the ladies were enough polite but you are buying a home! at leat they should be a little more enthusiastic, they were like choose this or that, I tought the customer experience would be better. Some of our doors has fell off because of tiny screws, our dish washer is not working, the paint is not good quality, the drawers fell too.

I would think would be great if they give you a clean house, it was very dusty because of the building and detailing and even someone went to clean it, It was not ready to move, you had to first clean it very deeply. I sense that they care more about you when you are going to buy but after that. not so much. We have suggestions for customer experience, for quality issues but overall We love our house. We Will ask for our first year follow Up. Crossing the fingers they answer at least. Updates on this.

We were so excited when we found this home and that quickly changed after moving in. We picked up nails and PVC piping out of our yard until winter came. It's everywhere and buried. We have children! Exposed pipes in laundry room that look horrible. Dry wall is so un even as are our Ceilings. Our stair railing and bedroom doors were missing several screws and were sooo wiggly.

We installed the missing ones. When installing the washer/dryer, there was a large amount of tape and trash found in the drain. This was discovered in accident after dropping something. Our master bath vanity separated from the wall shortly after moving in. We literally have nothing on there. We were going to have a water softener installed, however, when the company came out we were told no because we only have a cold water access downstairs, not both.

The process would cost much more. Our air conditioner would freeze up every other day. After the third tech came out, we were told the filter had to be changed weekly because it's a new furnace. When we called to have our internet installed, the company had to pretty much do their own thing because nothing was where it should have been. They were aggravated and stated they didn't understand why anyone would do that.

We have more holes in our garage now. Within the first month, our freezer froze up and when the tech came out, he said the part that wasn't working properly looked like it was several years old. The refrigerator was supposed to be brand new. We had to pay out of pocket for that. The floor upstairs is sooo creaky even after being here for a year. It's almost as it has become worse.

There are several areas where the paint ran down the wall and dried in globs. It looks terrible. The house looks great on the outside but it's not worth the stress and extra money being tossed down the drain. We are not happy with this company or the builders. Very poorly managed and built. I would be embarrassed if this was my craftsmanship. They were extremely rude, especially one woman when we would call/email. We were told she is allowed to do that because it's her husband's company. We should have ran. STAY AWAY!

We built a house from Beacon Builders. We were pleased with the layout of the house and the look of the house. We were disappointed in the lack of options. We asked for pedestal sinks in the bathroom and we were told no but no reason why. The painters did a substandard job. Paint splatters on the light fixtures and the floors We paid extra for a fire place and we can't get it to light.

The contract stated the debris would be removed from yard and that did not happen. We understand the yard and seeding are on hold but it would be nice to have a clean lot. Tina and Adam were great to work with and so was Fairway.

Beacon Builders was AWESOME to work with. My furnace need to be replaced. I called Beacon Builders and they got someone out to my house to review my needs and get me a Fantastic furnace at an unbeatable value. Nothing but GREAT things to say about Beacon Builders and their customer service and attention to detail! Thanks Beacon Builders!

I moved to my house 4 months ago and it's been a wonderful experience. The communication with Tina and Adam was great through all the process as all in life there is some things that could be done better like the finishing details in the house (paint, moldings, cleaning ).I had a water leak in one Window but in less than a week they took care of it, overall, was a good experience.

I love my home. The floor plan is really cool and I liked a lot of the options I was able to pick. The only things I am upset about is there are things marked in my walkthrough that were just never addressed, the painters were pretty awful and didn't touch up most of the things I marked, and they leave trash and stuff all over your yard. I've had to throw away long metal scraps and PVC pipes and things that are too big to throw in a trash can, so of course they require extra work. Overall I am satisfied but there are small, easy things that could have been done better.
