Among one of a handful of companies in the country to operate a separate prefabrication plant, Baker Electric saves money on projects by designing and building materials onsite at Baker, while also building the project at the customer site.

Baker Electric outfitted the very FIRST LEED-certified convenience store in the country for Krause-Gentle Kum & Go. Why is this so important? LEED (or Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) certification means the store will save tens of thousands of dollars over time, and save energy all the while.

On August 10, huge storm hit and it seemed that oat of Des Moines was dark! Trees were down everywhere taking out power and the ease of transportation. Being new to the area, I wasn't sure who to call when MidAmerican told me that I'd need an electrician before my service could be restored. My decision was made quickly when I looked around the Area and saw that many locals had Baker Electric vans driving to their rescue.

There is no doubt that this will be my go to for the future. From the beginning, I was treated as a priority although they were swamped. I was impressed with how quickly they could schedule me in and then my two electricians came early to check the situation to ensure they'd have the parts I'd need. Brian and Ted left but returned quickly and finished an entire day score I was scheduled. Brian and Ted were friendly and quite entertaining, as well as efficient. Although the storm was a disaster, Maker Electric is an amazing job by making an uncomfortable situation tolerable!

My wife and I just moved to new house. We had used Baker Electric in past with good results. We needed a new cable ran from outside to indoors for internet reasons. Baker Electric refused to see us because my wife and I "work in a hospital" and they are afraid of Corona Virus. No one in our family is sick! To be honest I think they just didn't want to work. Trying someone else.
