When we founded Archer Lawn Care, we wanted to create a professional, dependable company that homeowners and business owners alike could depend on for quality, timeliness, care and excellent customer service in St. Joseph. We are a full-service company who can handle any lawn or landscape service you may need year round.
Archer Lawn Care is a little different from typical lawn and landscape companies. We trained our lawn and landscape experts to be as good at customer service as they are at lawn care and landscaping. The result is a company that can provide all the lawn and landscape services you need, but deliver excellent customer service along with it.

Bobby called and paid a $400 deposit up front for a 7 step lawn care package. They came out, applied one application and I never heard anything back. I called a couple times, speaking to the receptionist, but nothing else was scheduled. We started noticing weeds in the yard, so I called requesting them to fulfil the package or just refund me my money.
They said they would refund my money but upon getting to the office to pick up the refund, the receptionist gave me the check, I then asked her if anyone was in the office I could speak to. One of the guys was in the office, he was short with me, stating I was up next for the following day. I said, Yeah right, why didnt they just tell me that when I called?
He then asked me to leave his office in a rude way, putting everything off on the receptionist. I sure hope they are paying her well to deal with the backlash of the unprofessionalism that I endured. I am not sure if this is how they treat everyone or just their residential customers, but they need to work on their customer service.

Take your business elsewhere. But note, I will update my review if any circumstances or conclusions change. Agreed to pay $100 for turning on the irrigation system which resulted in a proposal for replacing the main valve to the sprinkler system and fixing wiring to the valves in the back totaling to $1,000 for "worst case scenario." Issue 1: Charging my card on file for the full $1,100+ without my approval and review of the invoice.
I did approve the initial $100 charge for starting up the sprinkler system but never agreed to the full payment amount for the repairs. Issue 2: Miscommunications within the Archer group which resulted in grass being dug up and killed where I had confirmed with the receptionist would not be touched. Frustrated that sod (maybe 6 square feet) was not provided since the dug up grass was killed in the process.
This would be a simple satisfier for a lawn care company. Issue 3: Invoicing only has a single line-item noting repairs that don't match the repairs the technician stated in person and has $1000 associated with it. The technician noted 4 valves being repaired in the back where the invoice says 3. When asking for a proper breakdown of parts and services, the response I received was, "Sorry but as policy we do not break down our pricing." Issue 4: Broken and leaking sprinkler system.
As I have examined the sprinkler system in operation after the repairs, there are multiple heads that are washing out dirt beneath the ground. Archer agreed to come repair one head or riser at no cost but have stopped responding when I requested having the whole sprinkler system reviewed. The original $100 turn on and evaluation was advertised as a check of the whole system and identify repairs necessary to have a fully-functioning system.
Issue 5: I was invoiced for "raised valve boxes" which sunk 3+ inches when my lawn care team stepped on them while mowing today. I'm not sure what impact this will have on the wiring, but I can't imagine it's beneficial that these boxes are already sunken significantly. In summary, there has not been mention of any refunds for killed grass or re-assessment of the sprinkler system due to the flaws found this past week. I believe I am on my own to figure things out which is a terrible feeling after paying over $1100 to a company for repairing a sprinkler system.
