From start to finish, Legacy performed exceptionally well. The design and preliminary cost estimate of the extension, screened porch and patio were right on point (Bill Haussler). The on-site-manager was attentive to questions and comments, helped navigate the small area between the houses to get to the rear of our house for the construction and communicated effectively with status updates and observations (Kevin Haussler). Finally, the overall leader of the project was professional and demonstrated experience in working with our project (Chris Otte).
We were extremely satisfied and would highly recommend Legacy. During our first meeting, Legacy sought to understand our design ideas, furnished evidence of similar projects that they had completed and then executed the plans without issue. They easily navigated the HOA and building permit approval processes and kept us informed along the way. Legacy also performed some additional work that we requested that was outside the scope of the original project (including building an entertainment unit and staining sloped ceiling beams that spanned from 10 to 25 feet high).
They accomplished each of these tasks with ease. Legacy followed a project plan that was detailed and understandable. We were comfortable that Legacy "knew what they were doing." Although delayed by some weather challenges, the schedule was acceptable. Legacy kept us informed and was sensitive to timing. All the work was performed within the original budget and the approved additional out-of-scope work budget.
We are very satisfied with the quality of the build. We were out-of-town during much of the construction. So effective communication by phone, text and email were important. Legacy executed well. Early in the project, some roofing work yielded an overnight rain water leak while we were out-of-town. By 9 am the next morning, I had 3 messages from the on-site-manager and 1 message from the overall leader describing the issue and assuring us that the matter would be addressed and corrected.
Legacy was quick to address the problem and repair the leak without charge. We knew they would fix and problem and were not concerned. All was resolved without issue. Legacy installed plastic coverings and dividers to help control dust and dirt in the main sections of the house. They used carpet runners to help control foot traffic dirt and dust. We were comfortable with the effort.
All employees and subcontractors were professional and courteous. When dealing with a neighbor's request to keep off his yard, Legacy installed barrier tape and stakes to help maintain positive relationships with our neighbor. We were satisfied with the work and cost of the project. The estimate was on point and we were not surprised by any cost. Being out-of-town, earning our trust was important.

Legacy Builders Group completely gutted and reconstructed one of our bathrooms and remodeled the shower in another. They both look beautiful. Their craftmanship and attention to detail was excellent. I appreciate that they have a portal into the detailed project schedule for the customer. I knew exactly what to expect and when. They also have great communication tools and skills. I highly recommend them.

My husband and I are repeat customers, contracting with Legacy Builders for 2 separate renovations: a full basement remodel and main floor remodel. They do outstanding work, with great attention to detail and quality. They were very responsive to questions and concerns. Because we lived in the house during each renovation, they were careful to minimize dust and maximize our comfort. Both projects were completed on schedule. We highly recommend Legacy Builders!
