As client and property manager within Sarasota County and Siesta key I have worked with Amick Roofing owner and staff on few projects within past 5 years. (Owner does not even know what I do in Sarasota) The owner is super intelligent, truthful, perceptive, and generous when it comes to knowledge on any project he is working on . He does not refuse to help! Amick Roofing fixed ALL LEAKS accordingly to what recommended/he said and they sing for in contract.
I live in Sarasota since 1986. Today in Sarasota few clients ask for quality work and knowledge although they don't want to pay accordingly. Smart Design, Great Materials and Experience comes with COST AND LOTS OF LABOR!

I am in the unfortunate position to warn others about Amick Roofing and their business practices as well as customer service. This roof was installed in 2014 by the previous owners of the home. We purchased in 2019. It's now 2021 and these are the problems we are having all over the roof (home is 4,500 SqFt) I have contacted the company bi-weekly for over 5 weeks to get the issue looked at as well as the leak in my ceiling fixed before hurricane season.
Not one call was returned including a voicemail on the owner's line. When I did finally get a response on Facebook Messenger, attached is photos of the tone they use to speak to customers/ re: former projects, they prioritize new installs over standing by their past work. I typically wouldn't be so vocal but considering the lack of care, priority and general service, on an investment as a roof on your home, other potential customers should know how this company practices.

Highly recommend. From initial contact, Tim promptly returned call, came out to look at repair(s) needed and provided quote via email. Pricing was very competitive based on work needed. Communication with Krystal was great and the few requests on our end were met without question. Work completed exceeded expectation. Great job guys! Thank you so much.

Low estimate but it cost me a headache, other reviews were good but I caught Jorge cutting corners and then Krystal was argumentative with me and called me a "nit picker." After emails back and forth I got them to address 1 of my concerns. Their caulking job is horrible (will upload photos tomorrow during the daytime) so I have a lot of time ahead of me cutting that.
Prior to getting them back out here they wanted to leave the fascia & soffit unpainted. In addition, they did not sister the joints, which I was willing to pay for, while the soffit was off; so now I have to pay another company of figure it out myself. I'm writing this review prior to sending final payment. I may eventually take them to court for all the work I have to do to finish the roof myself, not to mention the work I missed due to having to play supervisor after the incident with Jorge cutting corners.
Overall the roof is OK in terms of structural integrity (it wasn't when Jorge installed my storm wood that's been out since Hurricane Irma and installed it on my roof, lied about it until I showed him photographic evidence as well-he also lied about the amount of plywood used because he gets paid per sheet!) All in all this whole time it's been hard to get people to own up at Amick and I have confirmed with David that employees there have supervisor on there card but they truly aren't.
I voiced my concerns since the Monday they came out and the "supervisor" didn't say anything until Thursday morning (when roofing crew and county thought the roof was done, I'm now typing this a month later and still have issues with the roof and what they are willing to do) and then Krystal was upset I didn't say anything to HER earlier, not my fault as a "supervisor" was telling me it was taken care of but he didn't have that power.
I'll send the money and keep review here but if the company is willing to rectify I will up my review to reflect the quality of work, it shouldn't have been this much of a headache for the consumer. It's unfortunate as I did my due diligence & they have good reviews and they are a Platinum Certificated Contracted Installers for Owens Corning shingles and offer a warranty(up to 50yrs), all I wanted to support a local & family company. They have a 5 year all included warranty from Amick but I just wanted it done right the first time.

I thought the workers did a good job on repairing the leak. However, the company estimated the job high and included a clause that allowed them to charge extra for any additional work needed. However, the job did not require all the work included in the estimate and they were unwilling to reduce the bill for the work they did not have to complete. When I asked them about it, they refused to reduce to cost of the estimate.
