My inspector, Dan, did a great job with his inspection of my future home. He took him time to adequately inspect every nook and cranny of the place. Once he was done he walked us through the highlights of his assessment and explained everything in great detail. He also ensured we knew where the key valves and turn-off were in the home. He was very friendly, approachable, and easy to talk with. I highly recommend him and his company for any of your home inspection needs.

Chris Garry did the inspection on my home. He was incredibly generous with his time in answering all the questions that I had and providing me with a 118-page report on the home from top to bottom. It identified dangerous items; items needing repair; items to watch for later and routine maintenance; items that needed upgrading for current standards (mine is an older home); and then just helpful information. It was also fun watching him use his drone to examine and take pictures of my roof. How cool is that?

We just had Advanced come and do inspections for a home, chimney and garage for us. They were efficient, on time, friendly, thorough and very knowledgeable. We've worked with Advanced 3 times now, two walkthroughs and one full inspection, and they were great every time. Really nice, friendly inspectors, very thorough easy to understand reports, and great efficiency. I can't recommend them highly enough. The lighting conditions weren't right to see something on the roof one day, so they even popped by the next to double check for us. They were fantastic.

Chris Garry is AWESOME! Inspection was scheduled for 11, he was there starting the outside of the inspection before I even arrived at 1045. Not only was he knowledgeable about the process and clear and concise but provided me with good information on what to look for as a first time home buyer and homeowner. Was perfectly fine with showing me the process of the home inspection as my toddler ran the house.

Not only was he friendly but was careful not to track mud through out the house even on the carpet. Also provided detailed inspection notes for which my agent gave the builders. I will definitely recommend them. Keep Up the good work.

The inspection was done professionally and they answered all my questions. Their report was concise and comprehensive and included long-term suggestions as well. Ryan and Jonathan spent ample time to explain details about defects and instructed me some points on future maintenance of the house.

If you're looking at inspecting a historical home in Richmond, look no further than Bradley Gamlin and Advanced Home Inspection. Over the last month, I have used Advanced Home Inspection to inspect two different homes and have been wowed by their thoroughness. Bradley/Chris and Bradley/Chris/Ryan/Corey created two incredibly thorough reports at 44 and 76 pages, respectively, outlining items that need immediate repair, monitoring, maintenance, or just general information as a homeowner. Using synchronized iPads, they were able to divide their work to inspect a 5500 ft in under an hour.

When trying to purchase a home in a market as competitive as the Fan or Museum District, their online booking process and modern inspection toolkit (e.g., iPads, drone, infrared camera) will take some of the stress away from a tight timeline. Given the above description, and Bradley's past as an Urban Planner for the City of Richmond, you might think he's a bit stiff; nothing could be further from the truth.

Him and his team were constantly joking, and made for a fun inspection (don't forget to ask about his favorite structural "column" found during an inspection). He was even willing to talk me through the work he has done on historic homes in the area (including his own), and what he thought those renovations would cost. I can't recommend Advanced Home Inspection enough! Note: if I haven't updated this review, no issues have arisen in the house that weren't covered in the report but should have been.
