As a general contractor and a realtor, I frequently engage locksmiths. I needed a locksmith in the Tacoma area to rekey a number of existing locks, install new deadbolts to match existing antique door hardware and rebuild antique locks on a historic property built in 1928. Lee delivered on all accounts - he was on time, knew exactly what the historic lock sets needed to be restored and function correctly and completed everything efficiently and at a great price. He meticulously cleaned up at the end - all in all it was a great experience. I TOTALLY recommend Knight Safe and Lock and will absolutely use them again as the need arises.

Lee, the owner of Knight Safe & Lock is very professional. He did me a favor and came all the way out to Whidbey Island and opened my Snap-On tool box for me saving me the tons of money Snap-On wanted, to sell me new keys. I've personally have known Lee for over 35 years, and I will attest to his honesty and his ability to deal with ANY lock issues. He will tell you what should be done and what options are available to fix your needs, he as well has have the necessary skills to preform any job.

I couldn't have had a better experience! Lee Mentzos was my locksmith and he was amazing! Very punctual! Lee knew my situation and recommended a deadbolt for my front and back doors, which I did not have. He also re-keyed my current locks. Lee worked fast, did great installation, and cleaned up after himself. I feel so much more secure in my apartment. I have never used a locksmith before, but after this experience, I will always refer back to him with any and all of myl lock needs!

We were locked out of our vehicle. Called a lock smith. Waited over an hour for the other guys and gave up. We saw Knight Safe drive by while we were waiting so we called the number. The guy answered and turned right around to help, even tho he was busy. He was very friendly, efficient, and much cheaper than the other company. Highly recommend!

Lee arrived a couple minutes early, was professional;, courteous, and observed the appropriate Covid protocols. I called him just to re-key the locks in my home, but I asked about the quality of what was here (really old locksets, high wear on the mechanisms, etc.) so I opted for high-security locks, replaced the knobs with levers, and went from the (tired) bronze to brushed nickel. Lee took his time to get the locks all working smoothly, and fixed the strike plates on at least two of the doors, and added a deadbolt on the door to the garage. I highly recommend his work.

Came out and opened a safe for me that had been in the family for years. This thing was ancient! LOL! I had another guy out that wanted to destroy it to open it. Wasn't gonna let that happen to this hierloom. Called this guy next. Knew just what to do. Got it opened with no damage! Completely profesional. This guy knows his stuff!

We had called another company who said they were local but clearly they were not. They quoted us under 25.00 plus labor, which we didn't really think much of until he finally got there. It took 2 hours to get to us when he said it would be 15 minutes then he said the labor price was over 200.00 because "our locks were special and needed to be drilled open".
We told him to leave and called Knight instead. Knight arrived in about 20 minutes and got us right into our house no problem. We will only use Knight Locksmith from now on, they know what they are doing and are not rip off artists like the other guys listed online.

When I move I always have the locks changed first thing. I called Knight Safe & Lock as recommended by my realtor. Lee was able to come over the next day which I was grateful for. He is very knowledgeable, explained why I needed a new lock on one door, fixed everything up and was on his way in good time. I appreciate his professionalism and his friendliness. We hired a different Locksmith company that said they were local but were NOT. It took him 4 hours to arrive and he could not unlock my car! The man made us pay him in advance with our credit card before he came out so I was charged a service call fee for nothing!. Frustrated, I then called Lee at Knight Safe and Lock. He came right out and did the job the other "Locksmith" said could not be done, at a fraction of the cost the other guy charged me. Knight Safe and Lock are truly professionals. Beware of other companies that say they are local. Knight Safe and Lock are actually local and do a great job!
