Good price, decent quality material and wide selection. However they seem annoyed if you are just getting a small order, and they insist on asking you to open an account. If they dont want to deal with small orders, well, thats what minimums are for. Other than that I can recommened checking it out.

I love the specialty/exotic wood selection here. And I'll never buy plywood from a big box store again. It's better quality and better priced here. BUT, they really need to work on the warehouse crew. You won't be approached, nobody will ask you if they can help, they don't explain the process, and nobody speaks fluent enough English; if you don't speak Spanish well, you're kinda on your own until the supervisor steps in, and that's even kinda spotty. I hope to see the warehouse process improve to the manner the sales office has.

They have an awesome collection of high quality lumber at reasonable and competitive prices. The staff is always helpful with pulling bunks out of the stacks whenever you need a particular species and size. The sales staff is also knowledgeable and always willing to offer information on prices and availability. I drive almost an hour in from the Katy area just to come to this lumberyard because it is definitely worth it for me and my business.

This place is rare find in this day and age! Excellent variety of product with a sales support eager to assist and inform you on product and price. The staff is friendly, the prices are more than competitive and the quality of the plywood is superior to that of a big box store. Everyone is smiling and good natured. Even I was smiling after I paid for my purchase.
Two people assisted in ordering, I wish I had gotten the gentleman's name he was helpful, I had to follow up on something and Melissa jumped in to assist as previous person was on phone. She followed up w a phone call to give me the window for delivery, which was delivered at the front end of the window and not the last minute. Even the delivery crew was helpful and nice. Definitely the only place in Houston to get Lumber. Now if they could only develop a catalog! Great Place!

They have a great selection of hardwoods especially mahogany. They have a lot of maple, alder, walnut and others too. There is also reclaimed wood for those who like working with that. The prices are the best I have found for hardwoods. They usually deal with people buying larger quantities and will load your truck or trailer but you can also buy just one or two boards as I usually do. They have high quality plywood and can do custom molding too.

Their prices for white oak were the best around, the service from ordering to accounting to scheduling delivery - which was ahead of schedule - was phenomenal, the delivery was on time and included two hard working guys that, with the little help I am, placed the wood right where I needed it. This is a well run company.

If this could be 10 stars that is the rating I would give this review! Steve Bravo was awesome! I never enjoy doing these types of errands or purchases without my husband with me. Walking in can be very overwhelming, Steve was awesome and made me feel NOT like an idiot lol we chatted about our kids and he was super charismatic! Because of my visit today I will be a return customer for ever :

They warehouse their stock, but the wood is acclimated so the likelihood of a product warping when you get home is low. Staff is great. Prices are competitive but they will work with you if you're nice. I don't think I've had a bad experience even when I was accidentally charged extra, they were prompt in making good with me. Great service and materials.

Figured I'd write a review seeing as how there aren't many others on here. I've been doing wood working for almost 20 years now with the last 8 of them being here in the Houston area. I've been to a few different Hard wood lumber-mills in the area even driving 2 hours all the way up I-45 to try M&G. Mason Mill and lumber is who I always come back to. Firstly I have not been able to find another place with cheaper prices.
Sometimes the pricing compared to others isn't even in the same ballpark. I only assume its because of the vast quantity of wood they have here. It's a little insane and a bit overwhelming when you first visit. Understand though that the lack of "customer service" isn't due to them being unfriendly, they just tend to service much larger customers so someone like myself who is just looking for a couple pieces is left to their own devices.
Which frankly, I kind of prefer anyway. So when you arrive, you just park, go to the front desk, tell them what you are looking for, they will point you to the location. There you find one of the fork lift drivers who will bring down a pallet of wood and set it off in a corner for you to pick through. After you find your pieces, stack up the wood back into a neat pile, hand your paper to the driver who will count it up and bring it to your truck.
Go back inside, pay, and you are off. Btw, I've also had them cut up my wood into smaller pieces which they did at no cost to me. Just keep it simple. It's a busy place and you probably aren't going to receive a whole lot of attention. If you are looking for that fine customer experience you will need to be a little self serving on your own. They are nice enough here but they aren't going to hold your hand.
I get the impression that they are running a business for people who tend to buy in bulk but still allow someone like me to come in and pick through their bins. Understand that some other stores don't even allow you to sift through the pallets and they definitely don't offer pricing like I've found here. So hopefully this will help you and you won't have to go to a bunch of different hard wood stores like I did. (Not like there are that many to choose from here anyway) You will find what you are looking for here (their selection is stupid big), the pricing is right (can't find anywhere else cheaper), and you get to pick out the best pieces for yourself. (can't do this everywhere) Just don't be offended if they don't coddle you while you are there.
