We have had issues with our previous HVAC system. The upstairs unit was at 2.5 ton and could not keep the temperature at the set point. We would set it at 75 degrees and the afternoon temperature could shoot up to near 80 degrees and run well past midnight to get back to the set point. We were either freezing or sweltering. We have a relative that works for a commercial HVAC company and were advised to look into a York variable capacity system.
That was when we called Phil at Energy Sharks. He inspected our situation and advised us that the issue was inadequate return ducts and not just the size of the condenser and evaporator equipment. He proposed increasing the size of the downstairs duct and adding another intake to the upstairs system. To our surprise he advised a 2.0 ton unit for the upstairs since the number of outlets in that zone would not be better served by increasing the tonnage of the equipment.
A week after we signed the contract, Danny and the install crew came and finished the job of installing both AC and furnace units, changed the downstairs system duct, and added another intake on the upstairs system in less that 6 hours. They were very professional and cleaned up completely following the install. We have had it operating for a couple of weeks now.
The upstairs system does not vary a single degree from the set point. The downstairs system also maintains a uniform temperature and my wife no longer is not complaining about being cold or too warm. We haven't received an electric bill yet but are hopeful it will reduce our electricity costs. In light of the current heat wave, it could not have been a better time to upgrade our HVAC system. Our 12 year old 5 ton air-conditioning unit failed and Energy Sharks replaced it with a new York high efficiency unit. Every step of the process from the initial service call, estimate, and installation was executed professionally and the quality of the work was excellent. The installation crew was experienced and able to complete the removal and installation of the new air handler, ducting, and compressor assembly in only three hours. Great company to work with. We bought and had a new AC system installed. The install team was on-site on time and finished the entire job in just a few hours. They did a great job with making sure some of the old parts that weren't properly installed years ago by another company were done right. We have had wonderful cold air coming through especially with the return upstairs being expanded to match the ac unit. Wonderful company and great pricing.

Phil from Energy Sharks came over Wednesday around 12:30pm and I had my new high efficiency York heat pump installed by 9:30am the next day. Very professional and quality work. They hauled off the old system and cleaned up everything when they were done. Very happy with the installation. I called Energy Sharks due to my A/C not working, they came out immediately to determine the issue and provided a quote. They offered a plan with manageable monthly payments. Phil was very respectful and so helpful, it was such a great customer service experience. The new A/C came sooner than expected so i was only without A/C for 1 day. I would highly recommend Energy Sharks, again Phil did everything he could to help me!

We couldn't be happier with Energy Sharks. We had other companies give us quotes and share their opinions with us but none can compare to Energy Sharks. Their price was better than the other quotes. Phil came out and explained everything and answered all of our questions. Phil is a no pressure, no BS kind of guy. He didn't try to sell us unnecessary stuff.
He worked up the price and gave us the total and immediately realized he failed to include a $200 item but didn't add it back in. He said it's his mistake and he's not changing the total he gave us. His technicians were awesome guys. They were polite and respectful of our house. They cleaned up behind them. I talked to Tonya once or twice and she was awesome as well.
New heat pump works great. I waited a few weeks to review so I had plenty of time to experience the new system and see if there were any issues. No problems and no complaints. Our Duke bills dropped but I can't compare apples to apples, as the seasons changed right after the new heat pump install. I highly recommend Energy Sharks. At least have Phil come out and give you a quote. You'll hire Energy Sharks.

I hired Energy Sharks to seal my HVAC ducts return and supply vents. The price was very good and their 2 guy team worked hard for about 10 hours to get the ducts sealed tight with the Aeroseal system. They did an excellent job and gave me a printed graph at the end of how much tighter my ducts were. More importantly i can feel the increase in cold A/C coming from the downstairs vents.
