I had a unique situation with a huge old air conditioner installed into my window frame I wanted removed. Vincent did a great job getting it out, lifting it through a window, and carrying it down 3 flights of stairs. That thing was HEAVY! The job was tough but he worked quickly and the final bill came in less than the quote. Service:General repairs

Dov was early, prepared, professional, knowledgeable and fixed my dishwasher issue in under an hour. He walked me through the issue, ways to solve the problem and allowed me to have input into how to resolve it. He took care to protect my floors and other personal property. I will definitely use Chicago Handyman again when my next project arises.

Chicago Handyman were excellent to work with. I had a quick quote based on pictures and had them scheduled right away. Jaime came out and repaired the drywall and mudded everything before he left the first day. The next day he painted that section and you can't tell the difference between that spot and the old paint. Would recommend to anyone looking for work around their home.

I've had the remains of a shattered shower glass door in my bathroom for THREE WEEKS and I called so many glass specialists, contractors, handymen, etc., and not ONE had the time or diligence to do this. I called Chicago Handyman and an hour later I had someone in my bathroom cleaning it up safely. I thought I'd have to schedule something and then they might show up and then it would be a whole thing but nope! They just come and do the work. I am really grateful to Dan and Leo. Vincent was awesome! He removed the old back splash and replaced it with this new white subway tile, and fixed the threshold to my shower by replacing the tiles there as well! We had Joe come out recently to fix a few things around our house: a leaky faucet, a misaligned door that would no longer lock normally and an exterior door with a rotten threshold and frame. We couldn't have been happier with the service provided; the company was responsive, Joe arrived on-time, his work was excellent and his attitude outstanding. We'll definitely use again for future projects, I would highly recommend for anyone in need of a handyman.

Chicago Handyman was professional and timely. They took their time and explained things so that I could understand. Dan was my "guy" and he was polite and informative. My job ended up requiring more work than the original opinion/estimate entailed and they called and talked that through with me. Very Happy with their service and will use them again in the future!

This work turned out very, very well for a competitive price. We have used Chicago Handyman several times for all different kinds of projects and as with prior work this project gave us a result we are very happy with. The team is committed to creating good quality work and it shows by the end. While they will work with your budget and style requirements, they also work hard to make sure you end up with something you will be happy with and that will last.
We often find the process of doing these kinds of projects to be bumpy - once the project starts things never go quite as originally envisioned and it's not always a perfect process - but by the end the work is very good and we are happy that we chose Chicago Handyman. I would definitely recommend them to others.

This review is long overdue but worth the 5 star rating. I met Dan last year when one of my tenants moved out with no notice. He came into unit that needed a full gut demo on the kitchen and was unfazed by the mess that these tenants had left. He and his team were so professional and super helpful every step of the way, especially since I live on the East Coast. Dan kept me updated on the status of the projects, working to meet my deadlines for showing and leasing the unit.
He has a network of workers with lots of experience in the trades. He was able to get all the window screens replaced, which I was having an impossible time hiring someone to do. His work was so good, I asked him back to redo the 2nd floor kitchen & bath, paint, redo hardwood floors, install ceiling fans, and create a custom barn door for the master walk-in closet. Ready for him to bring his team and refresh the 1st floor duplex unit now!

Dan installed a new Waste King kitchen disposal unit, purchased through Amazon. He notified through text before arrival which was very helpful. Unfortunately, the unit that I purchased did not have the same hook up as the unit to be replaced (needed an outlet). Dan explained everything very clearly and offered a quick solution. When I gave the go-ahead, he promptly purchased the necessary parts at a local hardware store and installed the disposal unit with new outlet in under 30 minutes. Overall, very impressed by his friendliness, honesty, and resourcefulness - not to mention a professional job. I would definitely recommend his services.

I was selling my apt and needed help fixing a ton of random minor repairs. I called chicago handyman, and Dan Shirley the owner sent Thomas -- my literal life saver. Not only did Thomas fix everything I needed (and seriously it ranged from plumbing to carpentry to painting) but he had some great ideas for solutions to tile problems and then did the work perfectly.
I can't say enough! When I need them to come, they come as soon as they can, sometimes the same day. And the price was so affordable. Who needs a man when I have Chicago Handyman;)? a , 5 stars.

I just moved into a new home and there were a few odds and ends and one broken garbage disposal that I needed help with. Dan got back to me right away. We spoke on Thursday and he was there the following Monday to help. He accurately estimated the scope of work, picked up the needed materials for the job and was very pleasant. I will definitely have Dan back for any additional needs.

I just bought my first condo and had a bunch of things that needed fixing up. I was worried that I would have to call different people to help me fix different things. A friend recommended that I call Dan and I'm really glad I did! He was familiar with everything that needed to be fixed and worked around my insane schedule to help me out. He's the best! Dan was a great help. I needed a loft built. I wanted to participate in the building so I was seeking a handyman to come and build it with me. I searched everywhere with poor results. Most people wanted to charge insane rates. One guy I tried to hire didn't show on the day of the build. Dan was awesome. He came when he said he would. We got the entire loft built in one day. Including a set of stairs. The loft has been up for about 8 months now. It was built safe and sound! Any future projects I will be sure to call him!
