When I started the process, I emailed my Plans to nine (9) Builders. Otey Construction was one of only two builders that would provide me an Itemized Quote (As Requested). Two builders chose not to bid while some others wanted to give me a range from low to high dollar amounts. Mr. Otey outlined the costs specifically as for Brick, Stone, Hardwood Floors, etc. After Construction started, things went smoothly for the most part. As with any process, issues may arise that were unforeseen. For instance I had the soil tested on my lot by an Engineering Firm but, we were not aware of an "Old Creek Bed" until the grading for the foundation was proceeding. This translated to an additional cost to make the foundation suitable. Construction proceeded smoothly and on time. The issues that arose during construction that I brought to their attention were addressed promptly and rectified.

I have known Kevin Otey for over 30 years. During that time I have been a customer and collaborator of Otey Construction and can say that Kevin is a also a good friend. He is a great builder who can deliver what you want and do it within your budget. I was amazed at how quickly he organized all of his subcontractors and built our home in very timely fashion.
