Blue Umbrella was recommended to me by a local handy man and I couldnt be happier. As a first time home owner, I really appreciated how they explained the issues I was having in my basement, how the drain system would work and my variety of options to get things fixed. They were always on time, friendly and open to answering any questions I had. I was pleasantly surprised when the owner, Steve, greeted me the morning of when work was set to begin with thank you cookies (which were delicious!).

He too walked me through everything the team was doing and they also went above a beyond the scope of work as my basement needed a bit more than originally planned. Today is the first day of heavy rain so it will be interesting to see how things hold up but I am confident my basement will remain dry. The price was also slightly lower than the competition.

What made me say yes was the amount of information and knowledge they provided me during my free estimate. Thank you Blue Umbrella team for your hardwork, kindness and customer service.

We purchased a home that required a lot of work (more than anticipated). Steve and his team were able to solve our water issue in the basement and left it cleaner than when they arrived. The team arrived ontime, very fast, thorough and finally after over a year, our basement was dry after it rained. Amazing!

Tony provided an amazing presentation on the French Drain. He answered all our questions and the estimate was very reasonable. Paul the foreman arrived on time with his crew and explained all the details of the process and provided his expertise on where we should place the sump pump. When it was all done, Steve the owner came and walk us through the basement. Steve spent a lot of time with us answering questions and providing referrals to other contractors to refinish the basement.

It is with great pleasure and gratitude to say this was a job well done and the process was seemless. They left the basement and driveway super clean. We are very happy with the service that Blue Umbrella team provided from start to finish. These guys were amazing! I definitely recommend Blue Umbrella Waterproofing.

UPDATE 6/15/22: Steve, the owner, got back to us regarding the issue. He managed to reach out and speak with the plumbing inspector to find out what needed to be done to fix the problem. He then sent his guys back to our house and re-routed the pvc piping in order for the water to discharge out into our backyard lawn. The inspector came back and we passed.

Big thank you to these guys for following through and helping us to get this resolved. 2nd Review (5/27/22): I am changing my review due to the sump pump installation they did failing the municipal town inspection. The inspector told us that the tubing for the pump cannot feed out into the driveway and must go out to either the lawn or landscape. He told us that this is standard code for all sump pump installations and that the contractors should have known this.

When we spoke to Steve, the owner, regarding the issue, he was somewhat dismissive and told us that he'll have to check his schedule and see when they can come out again. Also, he told us that it could cost us an extra $800-$900 to fix. Why do we have to pay an extra fee for something that wasn't up to code? Honestly, I do not understand why this issue wasn't addressed in the beginning when they were doing the installation. Licensed professionals should know how to install a sump pump that is up to the standard codes.

No excuses. If anyone pays a reputable waterproofing contractor thousands of dollars for a sump pump to be installed, you expect them to do right by the customer and come out to fix the issue. 1st Review (4/23/22): Steve, the owner, was very informative and explained everything very well. The crew did a great job cleaning up when they were done, which was much appreciated. Excellent pricing for the quality of work. Highly recommended.

Met with Tony- the sales manager of Blue Umbrella. He was prompt and punctual to begin with. Tony was very informative and he knows his stuff. More importantly, he was very honest and explained the whole process and then pricing. There was no pressure and he answered all of our questions. He did not rush us. Blue Umbrella had a video on the lab top that was showed to us-- the way the French drain is going to be done and all the steps in detail.

They lived up to their words. Price is very fair. Very fair. no complaints about their costs. Installation was scheduled for three weeks and boy was I impressed with the construction crew. Wilson's crew. Wilson was the team leader. Great Job and many many thanks to Wilson and his team for a job well done. OMG. this company and workers are nothing but professionals.

And then the Owner- Steven came by to check up to see that everything is being done as agreed and promised. What a guy. The owner Steven. He made sure the work was done properly. Steven took the time to speak to me. This guy did not rush one bit. Honestly, in all the times that I have gotten work done from various companies, there is no comparison to Blue Umbrella.the way this business is being operated.

This company, it's owner, sales team to the work crew are amazing. Thank you so much Steven, Tony and Wilson of Blue Umbrella. You guys did a wonderful and great job at my house on my French drain. And thank you for the great materials that your company are using. Your company does not go cheap with the materials you use. Thank you for that. From the consultation through the project completion Tony and his team were very professional. Tony was very clear in his suggestions for our basement and took extra time to explain the whole process. Price was significantly lower than any other company we looked at for higher quality work. The team was on time and efficient, they finished the job in just one day. They were very respectful and made sure to leave my basement and driveway completely clean when they left. Had French drains and a sump pump installed by blue umbrella. They did a great job, had it done in one day. Tony was great as a salesman and both Tony and the owner Steve came by on installation day to make sure everything was done right. My Blue Umbrella Waterproofing experience was phenomenal. Steve and John walk me through the entire process and really made me feel at ease. They were honest and recommended a few options. John and Steve responded to my inquiry quickly. The price was very reasonable compared to another company I received a quote from. Plus they were willing to give me more waterproofing protection than the other company. This business recognizes first responders and veterans. I was able to get the project started quickly because of that. I highly recommend them.

Our basement had been very wet. Everyday, we were sopping and vacuuming water. We finally had enough and gave Blue Umbrella a call. We can't say enough good things about the work they did for us. Steve spent a lot of time with us discussing our water issue and offering us solutions. The men worked hard and finished on time. They cleaned up after themselves.

You wouldn't have known we had all that debris outside. We added a dehumidifier along with the French drain system. The basement is drier than we have ever had it. We are so pleased. We have already recommended them to a neighbor.

Wow, just WOW! Steve and his team did an amazing job! And his quote was one of the least expensive of the 4 we asked for. Steve made us feel like family with his offer, and suggestions. Most importantly, the execution of the job was actually the best part out of this whole experience. We couldn't be more satisfied with the quality work that Steve and his crew did. They installed a full french drain and two new sump pumps, which are working beautifully. No unpleasant surprises along the way, and communication with Steve was super smooth. We are tough customers and I highly recommend Blue Umbrella. Price was competitive as well.
