When our ISA certified arborists arrive at a customer’s house to prune a tree. They first begin by stepping back and looking at the overall balance of the tree’s canopy. Our arborist will then identify any signs of decay or cracks prior to climbing. Above ground electrical wires will be noted and any other structures the tree may be impeding. A safety sheet with will be filled out noting all of these observations and the most appropriate procedure for the customer’s particular tree.

We will prune the customer’s tree either from the ground, using our bucket truck, or a skilled climber. While in the canopy of the tree, we will perform the type of pruning specified in the quote. We always encourage the customer to never have us top their tree. Topping is the removal of the entire crown of a tree. It can lead to the premature death of their tree or the formation of co-dominant stems which becomes hazardous in the future.

After we are finished pruning, we begin to thoroughly clean our customer’s property of the debris from the pruning. Twigs and branches are put through our chipper and turned into mulch for gardens around the city.
