Quality Roofing put the roof on a new home that we built. The homeowner has had multiple leaks. In having it checked by a third party company, it turns out that the roof is complete trash and will have to be torn off. It will also involve having to remove some of the stucco because the flashing was incorrect. All of the vent pipe boots were installed on top of the shingles.
They call themselves certified, but this is a no brainer in the roofing industry. Additionally, they say that they provide insurance, but when asking for the certificate, they refuse to provide. I have spoken to the operations manager, Gene, and he refuses to take any accountability for this roof disaster. This roof is not even two years old and they have been having leaks almost since the first rain happened. UPDATE - You can see below that the president of the company responded but I have no way to contact him, name, info, etc.
We did reach out to Todd Weaver, the guy who sold us these roofs, and he informed us that you closed your Austin division. Therefore, we had a guy look at it, you can feel free to call him. He has done multiple roofs for us that have never leaked. We thought it would be minor and easier for you. The second guy we called is the one that told us about all of the problems. Are you suggesting that he uninstalled all the boots from under the shingles and then put them on top?
This is a gross, horribly negligent error that cannot be disputed and points to the fact that a beginner did this job. Please take accountability and send someone out ASAP. It has been sunny for days now. My husband did not expect that you fix it in the rain, but he did want you to come view it in the rain. Gene was not listening to him or taking him at his word and was requesting that we send in a bunch of documentation. I think the pictures should be documentation enough.
