I want to start this review with a "thank you" to Ja-Mar and especially to Drew, our project manager. We had to replace our metal roof recently with no insurance assistance with costs. Drew helped me make informed decisions and never pushed his company or products as the other roofing companies did. When it was time to install the new roof, I had a family emergency that took me out of state. Drew and his fabulous team took care of everything and updated me every step of the way with photos and check-ins each night.

If you are looking for a company that will provide the best quality, are professional and easy to work with, and price fairly, stop looking.you have found them! I tell everyone about my experience with them and I hope my review helps you decide they are the right fit for you too.

Ken Kelly came to the home and within two days we had a comprehensive quote for a roof replacement. Ken provided samples for the shingles and explained, in detail, the materials and services to be provided. He even made us aware of the generous warranty package that came with the quote/job. Ken stayed in touch with us throughout the project and was very responsive to our needs.

The work crew arrived early and completed the project in one day. This even included clean up of all excess materials and debris. We will recommend Ja-Mar to our neighbors and friends.

I have 7 properties in Austin and over the past 40 years have used some highly regarded roofing companies for work. After speaking to a few of these, and then with Ken Kelly at Jamar in early March of this year, I was impressed enough to hire them. I know Jamar is one of Austin's oldest, well-regarded, roofing companies with realistic competitive bids to replace a roof with hail damage from last year's two back to back significantly damaging hail events.

The work included replacing the 30-year old shingles obviously, required replacement of more than a dozen pieces of damaged high quality wood decking, and other damage and necessary, non hail related problems, including rotting pieces of trim along the that needed replacement and painting, a dilapidated, damaged, 50 year old sheet metal piece that had to be fabricated and painted that drained water from a valley protecting the kitchen door area, some gutter replacement, etc. Having been slow to get it all done, when all was approved, the work began two days after signing a contract. Ken Kelly was always readily available to talk or meet me at the house during the initial weeks of my making decisions.

He oversaw the entire process, working with several Liberty Mutual adjusters to get their estimate in line with actual necessary costs, patiently staying in touch with me for weeks as necessary to provide a on target cost estimate. Ken is obviously very knowledgeable, professional, and I said, patient. Working with him (and when necessary the Jamar office staff) was a real pleasure and he instilled what must be typical Jamar confidence in me during the entire process.

I have worked with lots of professionals in many such industries over fifty years, and have not met one who surpasses Ken in every aspect I expected from a company with such a great reputation. I highly recommend Jamar, but even more that you ask to work with Ken. The finished product certainly seems to meet my expectations, and I am glad I chose Jamar, and commend them for having Ken on their staff.

Working with Drew and Ja-Mar Roofing was. a dream. I'm a first time homebuyer that thought it would be fun to buy a 1930s fixer upper. I wantttt to say that the roof wasn't the original (surely not, right?), but it might as well have been for the shape it was in. I had heard good things about Ja-Mar, and contacted them to come and take a look. Drew came within 24 hours I think, and I live out in Taylor.

He provided photos, aerial views, and a detailed description of what the issues were and what needed to be done. The pricing estimate was definitely competitive, and it was an easy choice to go with them. Drew was my point of contact through the whole process with the scheduling, my million questions, timeline, updates, financing for my deductible, etc.

He also worked with my insurance company after I filed my initial claim, so all I really had to do throughout the entire process was e-sign my contract and move my car out of the driveway for the supplies/equipment. His team arrived on time and were incredibly thorough. They even had a backup plan in case it started to rain; it was on the forecast, but Texas weather is, as you probably know, incredibly unpredictable.

Rather than push out the project, they had a plan to work in sections to make sure that everything would be safe/dry if it did start to rain. I have a 1900 sq ft house plus a detached garage (both with extensive damage). I assumed this would take at least a few days, as I've seen smaller homes in my neighborhood being worked on for longer than a day.

Imagine my surprise when they were finished and cleaning up by 6pm same-day! I literally gasped when I saw the final product, and gave them a round of applause because I couldn't think of a more appropriate response. I knew how important a roof was to the function of a home, but I didn't realize how much it would transform the look of it. I feel like I have a brand new house now. SO incredibly thankful for Drew, Amalio, and the rest of their team!

I looked at several companies when looking to get my roof replaced due to hail damage. Ja-mar hit all the high marks and I went with them without hesitation. Steve Yager met with us and we went over all the pre-paperwork, as well as what to expect. Our roof had some holes and boards that needed replaced under the shingles as well. Ja-Mar replaced my roof several years ago. I noticed an issue after last weeks storms and called on Saturday leaving a message. I received a early morning call stating someone would be in contact to schedule a visit to determine the possible cause. I was contacted about 30 minutes after by Jake. He scheduled my initial visit for today and was right on time. KUDOS to Jake for his professionalism and Promptness.

Well it took a little time to get started due to weather, however once work started workers were clean and professional could not have done a better job very happy with the results.

We had them install a metal roof at our house. Overall, I am satisfied with the work and price. The way they advertise their metal roof is that this will be "your forever roof", so I hope they are right. And if they are, it means we won't need their services, but if I were to need a roofer they would still be one of the first places I would call.

Some of the reviews point to some minor issues (i.e. cleaning the premises, communication and coordination), and they may well be right as inherent with any contracting job. Overall, I would recommend a potential customer to look at the end product and quality, not at tangential aspects. There were some minor adjustments and repairs needed for our roof, and once we pointed them they took care of them promptly.

The BEST roofing company in Austin!! Extremely professional and FAST! All the neighbors are stopping and staring at my new roof and they are the most professional company I have worked with, helped me through the whole process and I can't rave enough about them!!!! Ja-Mar replaced my roof in the beginning of 2017 after a wind storm came through and tore my roof to it's last shred. They handled all of the insurance proceedings and replaced my roof in one day flat. Fast forward to August, it's a day after Harvey cleared out and I noticed a large number of shingles in my yards. Within 5 hours of contacting them they had someone on site to evaluate the damage. Turns out all of the shingles were from neighboring homes and my roof was 100% intact.

Not only has the customer experience been fantastic with Ja-Mar, but the finish quality was over the top as promised and held up to the largest storm the roof will likely ever see. Thanks to Brad for being so quick to respond to our call and to Drew Pfanmiller, our original Contractor who organized everything from the beginning and provided fantastic post sale support.

Replaced my roof after the hail storm. This was a difficult process but my salesman Drew and Ja-Mar made it pretty easy. I would recommend them I just hope I don't have to get another roof. It's definitely not fun. This is a good honest company.

Ja-Mar worked on three roof projects for me this summer, one was a shingle replacement following hail damage and the other two were metal roof for new construction. For the replacement roof, they were instrumental in helping navigate the insurance and warranty process which resulted in no out of pocket expense for us. On the new metal roofs they were great on helping us think through the design, pick the right materials and colors to match the house.

The workers were very conscientious about the quality of the product and took time to address anything we pointed out. They did a good job cleaning up the site and didn't leave random shingles, nails all around which is often the case with a roof replacement. Glad I meet Gary and the Ja-Mar team, it was a good experience for us and we'd recommend using them.

Denny worked with me to put an affordable roof on my aging mid-20th Century bungalow without breaking the bank. Excellent communication (no need to route calls through the office) and concern for meeting my needs, from explaining geeky details of how they would do the job, to keeping in touch re: scheduling, to finishing.
