Sunline recently installed a ~2.9kW system for us and everything went off without a hitch. We had permission to operate several weeks earlier than we expected. We signed the contract at the end of February and we were up and running by the end of April, when we expected to be online by mid to late May based on the original estimated timeline. There was a slight hiccup where the monitoring app was only showing half of what we were generating, but it was just a configuration issue and was quickly corrected. All in all we were very happy with everyone involved and would recommend them to anyone looking to get solar.

I highly recommend this company. With the California Public Utility Commission (CPUC) trying to change from NEM 2.0 to 3.0, and the federal tax credit lowering from 26% to 22%, I knew that if I was going to get Solar, I had to do it this year and quickly. Sunline had me up and running pretty fast. We signed the agreement on February 26th and we're generating solar on April 28th.

Not bad. They took care of everything from start to finish. Answered all my questions. My sales rep was Joe Hamilton. He is a great rep. Just recently I had a question about the "Enlighten" app. He was very responsive and took care of my question/issue. They did a great job and I strongly encourage my friends to go with them.

I will probably update this to 5 stars but I need to see how the system holds up and operates. My only complaint was the amount of time it took. Communication was great when I had questions and Riley was very professional and helpful. All my experiences with employees was positive. We had a minor issue when my AC didn't work after solar install.

We troubleshooted over the phone with no success and then they had a technician come over very quickly. I was pleasantly surprised and grateful as it was a 98 degree day. We found out a plug was accidentally left undone or bumped into when they had been in the attic. Everything worked out and I really appreciated there effort to help diagnose why it wasn't working. Got multiple quotes and Sunline was competitive and quality. Thanks

After seeing my electric bill continue to skyrocket year after year I knew I had to go solar. I got 5 quotes from different companies (all which had the best reviews) and decided on Sunline. Their prices were fair and they offered a variety of great product options. Something that really made Sunline stand out is they have their own mobile app. Every time the project reached a major milestone I received a notification on my phone.

Now that my installation is up and running I can view my energy production within the app as well. My favorite part of the app is that I can easily refer my friends for a nice cash bonus. I've already sent Sunline a few referrals and I'm able to track each referral. The app is a game changer. In the end along with our ground mounted solar system we ended up purchasing 2 Enphase IQ Batteries. I'm really happy that we did so we're now further insulated from SDG&E's outrageous rate hikes.

The installation was painless and everything exceeded our expectations. Shortly after the installation we received permission to operate from SDG&E and could start producing and storing our own power. Sunline really lived up to the hype and I can't say enough about this company!

The more I learned about solar panels, the more I wanted microinverters in the panels ( I could go on). Enphase owns this market. So i bought Enphase stock at $70. It's over $200 now. My experience with Sunline has been paid off a couple times now. Don't be fooled by the many solar companies that want to convert your solar energy to electricity all in one place. Sunline Energy sells Enphase. Sunline Energy gives you the best advice and the best price.

UPDATE: April 4, 2022 The very next day after posting my less than stellar review, the owner of Sunline Energy contacted me and apologized for the delay in repairing my solar panels and for any miscommunication. Apparently, as with many businesses nowadays, staffing has been a problem. However, he promised to take care of the matter and arranged to have Jesse come out on April 4, 2022 to make the repairs. And, as promised, Jesse showed up on time with another staffer, assessed the issue and immediately made repairs. So, I am once again pleased with the customer service.

My previous Yelp Review - March 7, 2022 - Yelp Review of Sunline Energy Solar It has now been nearly six years since Sunline Energy installed our pool solar system, and up until now the service has been splendid. However, as I had discovered years ago when doing my research, some solar businesses go "out of business" shortly after installation and or don't honor their warranties, thus leaving the customer "high and dry" with a useless warranty.

That being said, I don't know if that is the case, however I have contacted Sunline Energy Solar via phone, email, text and their website from January 4 until the beginning of March 2022 to repair several leaks in our solar panels and connectors, and so far no one has come out to make the repairs. Of course, "Sunline-installed solar panels are backed by a 25-Year Manufacturer's Warranty, plus a standard 10-year warranty on installation workmanship." But, the warranty is only as good as the company's commitment.

At this point, after having been quite patient, I am very disappointed by the fact that no one has reached out to me to give me any updates on when or if the repairs are to be made. I am being left "high and dry." No one is answering my calls or responding to me emails or texts. They are not honoring their warranty. Finally, I realize that businesses are having a tough time with supply issues and staff shortages. However, a phone call or an email only requires the owner of this company to contact me.

My experience with Sunline was great from beginning to end. Everyone I dealt with was very professional and competent. I got hooked up to the grid last week and I love seeing how much more energy I am producing than I am using. Can't wait to get my new EV!

First, a review in what we call the 1st half: Sunline sales pitch to system activation. Our 2nd half review will come after a couple months with the system online. Our timeline was Nov 6, 2021 to Feb 28. 2022. We had 5 companies stop by. Riley's pitch was far and away the best. He had the virtual picture of what and how many panels on the roof would look like.

He had the stats of the system. He had the cost analysis. He had pictures. Lots of pictures. He even knew what would happen to the roof tiles displaced by the panels. He came prepared. His pitch in no way spoke of other companies. He concentrated solely on Sunline, and on our cost benefits. Riley had the entire NEM and California Utilities Commission info: how it may change, what were the arguments, etc.

For those looking for solar, do your research. The Commission's decision, whenever it comes, may impact your overall $$$$ benefit. We were quoted an overall price similar to others. Riley had a 2 to 4 month process, and we came online in 3. Everything was smooth. There were no hidden costs. No surprise add-ons. Sunline's dates for the Site Survey, and the City inspection, and the Santee city permits process, and the install itself, happened per schedule.

No one backed out. No one changed schedule. The resulting paperwork for the loan process (we are purchasing), as well as the 26% tax credit also came seamlessly. We have seen a large reduction in electric billing. We will post a better reflective review on that in a couple of months. So far, so good.

It has absolutely been a pleasure to work with Sunline from the inception with the salesperson, Riley, who is fantastic. He stayed in touch and came to our home several times during the process. Each of the crews worked so professionally at our home. They were also so personable and again communicated with us every step of the way. The office staff made sure we were informed timely manner. We give Sunline our highest recommendation and have already told our friends and neighbors. This is really a great company!

Matt and his team are amazing! Yucca Valley is a bit of a ways but the team didn't hesitate to come out here and do my system. I went with a 7.4kv system and it looks incredible! The inspector from my town came and took a look and he said it was flawless. Everything he needed was there. The wire management was perfect and extremely impressive. Thank you so much Matt, would highly recommend!

These guys just finished redoing my entire roof. OMG is it gorgeous. The side corners and the top at the peak, has extra special tiles/look. My fireplace got sealed around where the brick meets the roof. The team installed vents, bonus They were thoughtful and kind. Let us know when they arrived and their schedule for the week. Such a well done, thorough job. Insulated/sealed to the max before doing to roofing. Repairs as needed, and we have a beautiful roof. Solar is next. Can't wait. Would recommend to everyone. Sunline put 31 solar panels on my roof a few years ago. Recently installed two Tesla POWERWALL batteries. There service is outstanding. Alex and Jurickson were very good. Sunline came in and did a great job of evaluating my needs. They installed the panels on my roof and hooked them up and connected the whole setup with SDGE. We paid no electric bill from December 2000 through November 2001. In December we got a bill from SDGE. On it we had a $165 credit for the year. And that was with me charging my electric car all year in addition to all the household use of electricity. You listen, the value of the house is probably about $40,000 higher because we own the solar panels.

What a fantastic experience it was working with Sunline Energy. From beginning to end, they were very helpful in walking us through the process and helping us understand each part. The quality of their work was excellent and the response time for every question I had was quick. If you are looking to get Solar, there shouldn't be another company to consider. We talked with three companies before meeting with Sunline and I will say none of them came close to the knowledge and expertise of Sunline. All the companies were highly rated on Google and yelp but all they wanted to do was make the sale. Sunline gave us the facts and let us make the decision on our own time. Once we decided to use them not only did they complete the project earlier than projected but they also followed up to ensure that we were happy and if we had any questions.

Once the final payment was made, (unlike other companies) they return my call immediately and ensure that all my questions were answered to my satisfaction. I can't recommend Sunline enough to anyone who is thinking about installing solar.

This review is from someone who only submits recommendations when they are outstanding. Sunline Energy is the epitome of service. It began with their outstanding knowledge of the solar industry, followed by there nonstop quality assurance. They informed me I would have solar by December 1 I received it two weeks earlier. Following the installation I've had a few follow-up questions and their response time has been incredible. Love, love love Sunline Energy! They took on our smaller solar panel roof top installation project and showed us the love and attention the same as if we were doing a bigger project. This company is great. They have kept us informed all through the process of getting financed, permits, install, and connecting to the grid. Joe the salesman was very informative and helpful. Sunline did a fine job of installing our solar during the early part of the pandemic. We recently had a disagreement with them over a relatively small aspect of the work, but one which nonetheless cost real money to address. To their credit, Sunline stepped up and paid out of pocket to resolve the dispute and keep the customer happy

It's hard to believe that it's been over 4 years since Sunline installed our solar system. And energy production continues to exceed my expectations! I've whole heartedly recommended Sunline to family and friends!

While we did not proceed with Sunline for a solar system or roof, Chris Brown was super patient and spent the time to explain the options and factors that would go into a solar project. We could tell Chris and Sunline has a depth of experience installing roofs and solar systems. My husband and I are very happy with the service we received from Sunline Energy. Sunline was one of a half dozen companies we received quotes from. We chose Sunline for several reasons. Firstly, they were referred to us by a trusted friend who had a very good experience with his installation from Sunline. Secondly, their rep Chris who came to our home was very knowledgeable, professional, and gave us great guidance. Thirdly, out of all the reviews we read through online, Sunline had the most favorable reviews. Lastly, we wanted a local company and a company that did not use sub-contractors.

Once we started the process we were provided a contract that outlined each step of the way, including a timeline. Sunline did not deviate from this timeline. In addition we had regular updates via e-mail from their team. There was never a time when we felt they went silent on us or were not communicating. With regards to communication, they exceeded our expectations. The installation team was friendly and professional and kept us informed during their work. Thank you Sunline Energy!

I just got my solar installed from Sunline and very happy that I selected them. And solar became operational as of 9/20. I did a lot of research. I got 4 quotes. I initially thought I was going to use a solar company from Costco as I saw them all the time when I went to Costco. However, the solar company that is associated with Costco and the salesman who came to my house - gave off a really bad vibe when I talked to him.

Plus did he did not have his own mobile wifi and had to use mine, which was weird. I figure his company would or should give their sales people wifi. I yelped and did other research and this Costco associated company had terrible reviews and crappy customer service. I read a lot of reviews on Sunline and how other customers felt about Sunline and how Sunline was very responsive to customer comments.

Also I wanted to work with a local San Diego company, I think it's important to help companies locally if possible. Prior to meeting Matthew, the Sunline Rep, I did my research ahead of time so I knew that I did NOT want to lease (side note = buying is a better value) and the exactly the type of equipment (panels and inverters) I wanted. I appreciated that Matthew was straightforward; honest and wore a facial covering (COVID protocol) when coming inside my house.

He did not try to do a hardsell about leasing (which I did NOT want) nor buying right away. He answered my questions and gave me time to think about it. Matthew gave REALISTIC expectations about how long the installation process would take - finance - design - permits - hoa approval - installation - city inspection During the process - Sunline was responsive to my emails.

While there were other quotes I received that were cheaper, Sunline was competitive enough and I felt it was a company I could do business with. I would recommend Sunline to people looking for Solar Panels to be installed (a side note - buy the panels - do not lease them).

We had a great experience with Sunline, installing our first solar system for our home. I've been waiting to write this review because we also got another solar system installed in a family home in the San Francisco area using a local company in that area. Now, being able to compare both companies, I can confidently say, Sunline is ahead by a large margin.

A few things that happened with the other very highly reviewed company from the Bay Area: very poor communication and coordination of services, permits, and even accidentally cut power for half a day. I spent a lot of time reviewing both companies prior to selecting each solar company, so I could confidently say, both were top companies in their respective areas. However, because I am able to experience both installs, Sunline clearly was better.

Some highlights for Sunline: - Excellent customer service - I primarily worked with Eric Gerza. Even as I was comparing multiple companies, he took the time to explain the differences and at no time did I feel any pressure to act. We had a lot of questions and at no time did I feel I was asking too much. Eric was very patient in answering all of our concerns.

The numerous conversations before we finally decided were natural, comfortable, and honest. - Between San Diego and San Francisco, I compared at least 10 solar companies and Sunline had the best pricing of all quotes that I received for similar system comparisons (size, panel brand, warranties) - Very organized and punctual in terms of appointments, inspections, and overall project timeline. - We had some questions about the Enphase monitoring and the team quickly resolved our questions/problems, sent someone out to fix, and even added an extra feature (not cheap) as a complimentary addition to our system. Amazing! - As I was not home on one of the inspections, they had to take some samples off of my exterior to match some paint. Unfortunately, the sample must have been dirty, so the paint did not match well.

They promised to correct the paint issue. On the day of the final inspection, while waiting for the inspector, the Sunline team member took an electrical panel off the wall and took it to Home Depot to get a perfect match. They then repainted the conduit to match with the exterior paint. I have since recommended Sunline to 1 neighbor and I would do the same to anyone else that would be interested here in San Diego. Overall, this was a great experience and I wish I was able to write this review sooner.

Sunline was a great company to work with for my solar project, from start to finish. Not only did they have the most competitive rates for the exact same products and install methods, they also were super friendly, efficient, considerate, skilled and professional at my home performing the installation work. Let me add to the chorus of good experiences with Sunline Energy. Our salesman, Matthew C., was professional, knowledgeable and extremely patient. Sunline was very competitive in pricing, and I chose them over some slightly cheaper quotes because my overall impression of the company led me to believe they would really stand by their installation. Sunline has grown in size in recent years, and it is easy to see why.

My experience with every department I dealt with from plan review to roofing was excellent. The entire process took somewhat longer than what other vendors promised, but Sunline was very upfront about their timelines, and they delivered as promised. I was not in a hurry, so waiting a few extra weeks was not a big deal. The system has been up and running for several months now and has delivered as expected. Sunline is definitely recommended.

System is still running along great. I have told 5 other of my friends about Sunline and 3 systems have been installed based off my word of mouth.

Short version: Outstanding customer service from start to finish. Spoke with Brian, and he has been my point of contact throughout the journey to solar. From meeting me to checking in during and after install, I have been thoroughly impressed and satisfied with the solar panels, customer service and all the answers to the questions that came up. We are SO happy we have solar and went through Sunline.

Highly recommend them!! Long version: My wife and I had waited for years to get solar because we didn't know who to go with and what to do really. We would have people knock on our door and tell us about their solar company, but I felt pressured to make a decision. When my wife and I were ready we looked at Yelp and found Sunline and saw their numerous high reviews.

I reached out and they got back to me quickly. Within a week, Brian came to my house and walked me through the process. Brian was super knowledgeable and friendly. He walked me through the process and I was impressed that he showed me his actual SD&E bill and what energy he uses. Being a smart shopper I also had another company come out and give me a pitch.

Don't remember their company name because their presentation wasn't memorable. I called back Sunline and told them that I wanted to go with them. The whole process took around 3-4months for us, form that first meeting to finally having solar working. As I learned it's a process with the city, SDG&E, HOA and of course Sunline. However, with each step of the way (permits, finance, install, inspection, HOA) Sunline had a department to help me. And, the best part was Brian was my point of contact throughout the whole process!

I felt like a valued customer because I could reach out to Brian or to a particular Sunline department and get my questions answered in a timely manner. As I write this review, months after the installation, we are enjoying Solar and watching on the app how much energy we are producing and it feels wonderful. Also, I know I can email Brian even now with a question and he would get back to me. Overall, a first class customer service experience and wonderful company. Thank you Sunline!

Like many others, I got quotes from a few solar installers (4 in total). Erik from Sunline Energy was a pleasure to work with. He took the time to walk me through all the options I was asking about and put absolutely no pressure on me. This, combined with the many 5-star reviews, made me decide to go with Sunline Energy. There was a bit of a delay halfway the process due to some personal circumstances, but management picked that up and made sure the project was completed promptly.

Everybody involved did a great job, they were on time, friendly, and they took great care of the finishing details. They routed the cables from the main panel to the box through the inside of the garage and the result looks super neat and clean. They also nicely painted the conduit on the side of the wall to match the house and they cleaned up after it was all done.
Inspection went through smoothy and quickly as well.

The installation was completed on a Monday, inspection was done the next Tuesday and a day later we got the permission to operate from SDG&E.

Oh, and the pricing they got me was super competitive, lower than the other quotes I got. So they definitely deserve the 5-star review.

We had Chris Brown as our representative. He was knowledgeable, polite and patient. He answered all our questions. The education Chris provided helped us not only understand our solar system but, also make the best system for our family needs. Other solar companies need more representatives like Chris.

I hired this company for the reroofing project. Matthew and Jacob were awesome. I first spoke to Matthew to understand their reroofing process, he explained the process in great details so I decided to hire them for the project. A great selling point for me was the materials they use, especially the underpayment materials which were very high in technology, considering everyone else I talked to kept quoting me for felt papers, which I strongly disliked.

The whole roof installation process was also pleasant, the roofers worked very hard and Jacob always kept me updated for the process. When the project was over, I was given a proper walkthrough of the house to ensure I was satisfied with the end result. I know this is a solar company, but I highly recommend this company even if you just want to reroof your house.

We had Sunline Energy install our solar panels here in San Diego. They had been highly recommended to us by a couple people who worked at Enphase. We have been homeowners for almost 38 years in another state and here in SD for a year. After having a number of jobs performed in our homes, we found Sunline to be the most professional, organized, and outstanding group to do work in our home. Everyone we dealt with was so terrific. We enthusiastically recommend them!!

The original company we used 7 years ago for solar went out of business, and when looking to add additional panels to our home we chose Sunline due to their great reviews. I'm very happy we did! To start off Matthew Copeland was very helpful at answering ALL my questions and I never felt any sales pressure from him. He is extremely knowledgeable and has excellent communication skills.

And after the quote, I even asked if they would clean my current panels and they did free of charge. Sunline provided updates throughout the entire process, and the crew that came including Manny were very professional and hard working. It was an all-around great experience with Sunline and I would highly recommend them if you are looking to add solar.

From start to finish, Sunline energy has demonstrated nothing but excellence in their customer service, sales, and installation departments. From the first appointment with Joe showing us the ins and outs of solar and breaking it down all the way through the approval process and installation, I felt in great hands and didn't have to devote much energy at all in the orchestration.

It was all handled professionally and was a true example of how customer service should be. I also would like to commend Manny and his crew who were the electricians installing the panels. They expertly conducted the installation and were very mindful of cleanliness and safety especially during this covid situation. Needed repairs on our solar system and the company that had installed is now out of business. I chose Sunline due to their good reviews and I was not disappointed. Turns out it was only the light that was out but the system is running fine. I heartily recommend them. Glad I found them. Thank you Sunline and thank you Travis!

I never thought I'd give a solar company five stars.

Background: I've been in talks with Tesla Solar. Tesla are very, very cheap right now. But they hit that price point by cutting every human they can out of the process. There is no sales person, you just give them $100 to fill out a web form. You eventually get assigned a contact who may or may not get back to you.

They do weird things like automatically apply fire codes from completely different states just so they can apply the worst case and never have to pay a human to think. I was getting frustrated so I called Sunline to see what options I had.

Sunline were the complete opposite. Even on the first call, they were exceptionally helpful and transparent.

They called out codes they'd have to apply that Tesla missed, they explained the benefits of transferable warranties, issues my particular roof might have.

Sadly we couldn't get quite close enough to Tesla's rock bottom prices for me to pull the trigger. There was just enough of a price difference that I'll pocket the cash now and put it aside to deal with expected Tesla headaches later.

But they were so good at being so much more honest and transparent, I very nearly switched. And I still have their number if Tesla drop any more surprises. I guess you really do get what you pay for. Sunline aren't as cheap as Tesla right now. But they're so much more transparent and reassuring. If you plan to have a system in your roof for 25 years and want a company you can actually enjoy working with for those 25, I strongly recommend considering that but extra for Sunline.

We've had our solar now for about 10 months and can't say how happy we were to make the move to Solar with Sunline. There has been 2-3 times where I had some questions and I reached out to Matt. He's always so helpful and even after having the system installed, he's always so happy to help. Anyone I Know looking for solar, I will send them your way. Ask for Matt

Sunline did an original install for us, as well as a new roof about 18 months ago. We decided we wanted to add a couple panels because we added an above ground spa, so called them up to find out if we could and what it would cost. The original install was so easy, quick and painless, and our upgrade was the same. They are professional, easy to work with and the product performs as promised, at a competitive price. I would highly recommend these folks, as this is what they do, all day and everyday.

After shopping around and getting the standard 3 quotes, we asked Sunline to help us with our solar needs. They did not disappoint. Every stage of the project was well communicated and they delivered early on every stage. We had to have them do some roof work to support the panels. They removed part of the roof, installed the new plywood support, waterproofing material, tar shingles and reinstalled the existing roof shingles around the new solar panels.

They were very conscious of making the install "look pretty" and spent extra time to run the cabling in our attic instead of having conduits outside. Our estimated install time was 5 days and they finished in 3. We took advantage of their roof work and even added a solar tube light for a room that was normally pitch black. Overall very happy with their work, support, and most importantly, their communication. Thanks Sunline!

Asked multiple quotes from companies with highest customer ratings from multiple sites and was very happy with the quote I got from Sunline. The process itself went surprisingly well even the COVID-19 blowing up right after signing the contract. I'm very happy with all the people I dealt with, starting with the awesome sales guy Erik. The only thing that irked me (also reason for 4 stars) is the poor communication policy.

I was contacted by multiple people for same issue oftentimes giving contradictory information. My advice would be to limit the customer facing employees and making sure the information given is accurate. I'm very happy with my system overall and feel like I got best bang for my buck. I would definitely recommend Sunline for your solar needs.

I highly recommend Sunline Energy for your solar needs. If you have noticed in other reviews Sunline is a growing company. But that does not in any way imply incompetence. It's actually proof of how well they are doing with their commitment to honesty and transparency to you, the customer. My experience did take some time (from October signing contract to February final install) but you have to understand that 2019 was a crazy busy year for residential solar.

This is my second time purchasing solar so I wasn't totally unfamiliar with the solar process. Last time I went with ASI here in San Diego in 2015. If you choose Sunline and happen to work with these people, then you are in luck. Many thanks to:

After getting quotes from about 5 places, Gerry's quote from Sunline Energy was definitely the best out there. I was aware of them because of a family friend used them first and had nothing but good things to say about them. The rest of the team (Liz, Morgan, and Jacob, and Alex) always answered all my questions quickly and did an outstanding job. The system is up and running and working exactly as expected. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

I highly recommend Sunline. Prices were quite reasonable, and our 7.2kW system is working great now ! The install and post-install follow-up (Morgan) were great, and engineering (Alex) and accounting/admin staff (Amanda, Liz) were quite friendly and knowledgeable. Install crew were easy to work with and generous with explaining all the details. The wide variety of 3rd party loan options with pre-negotiated rates are a big plus also.

The only quirk in the process was timing the loan approval (from a loan company that Sunline works with) with the start of install, so that the loan doesn't activate too early, or get approved too late. Really wasn't sure how to juggle the two, and whether it's our responsibility to ensure the loan is all funded before project start, or Sunline will give them the green light. We had a couple of false starts there...

After numerous estimates from different solar companies. We decided to go with Sunline energy. Erik Lainas was our rep and he explained everything to us. He was very professional and never pushed anything to us. I was not expecting them to finish the project before the end of the year because of the weather but they pulled it through. The crew were very fast and efficient and the work that they did was very clean.

Even the electrical conduit was painted to match the color of the house. Great work! City inspection went well no rework was required. This company was very easy to work with and I would like to thank Erik, the installation crew and Morgan for such great service.

I can't say enough about this company. From start to finish, they were nothing but professional. Always showed up for appointments, very easy to contact and extremely responsive to my requests and concerns. I had gotten numerous estimates for my solar panels and battery and found at least half of the companies I dealt with didn't call back and/or didn't bother showing up. Sunline and Sullivan were to two companies that I found to be the most responsive and I went with Sunline as the price was a bit better and also they did the roofing prep work themselves (didn't have to bring in a separate roofing company).

From getting the permits to coming up with the plan to the installation to the post-install follow up, Sunline did a marvelous job! Great communication. Punctual. Professional. Just fantastic. I believe solar is the way to go and Sunline is the company to take you there!

Exceeded expectations from start to finish. From our initial consultation with Matthew thru the final walk-thru the whole crew was pro, thoughtful and communicated clearly. We started towards the end of the year and were in the rush of folks eager to get it done by the end of the year. They were honest about that and gave clear timelines for expectations.

Even the install crew was great. They introduced themselves, gave me an expectation about what they'd be doing, how long it might take, when they'd be cutting out for the day. Super happy definitely recommend them.

Interviewed 4 different solar companies for roof and solar installation. All quotes came in not too far from each other. However, Sunline was so much easier to work with than others. Also, I didn't feel pressured to sign anything or make any commitments. After thinking about it and weighing all my options, I contacted them approximately 3 weeks later and informed them I was ready to move forward. Documents were sent to me for review and electronic signature.

They put me on schedule and majority of things happened when I wasn't home, which was convenient for me. Their workers were very courteous and polite. Cleaned up everyday and never left any mess. Installed app on my phone and can monitor my solar panels and their production. Final walk through was a breeze. Permits all obtained by their company. I didn't have to do a thing. Great product, warranty, and company!

I had been contemplating going solar for years, but it took the Summer of 2018 to motivate me to eventually switch ($700 electric bill that July!). I received several quotes from various companies but then found Sunline Energy and their excellent Yelp! reviews so set up an appointment for a quote. Spencer showed up to quote the job and was honest and forthright from the beginning, saying they will not be the cheapest or most expensive by they value their customers and strive to be the best.

After careful consideration we decided to go with their quote (roofing and solar) and so glad we did. The whole process was a complete turnkey operation, from putting together the necessary paperwork, working with my HOA, obtaining the proper permits/inspection and quality and quickness of the installation. My only disappointment was not calling them sooner in the year as I reached out to them in June and they had a 2-3-month backlog, so we were not able to get the system installed and online until late September, missing the expense Summer months. Luckily, we installed a whole-house fan that helped keep the house cool throughout the night as well as pre-cool the house in the morning.

So far, almost 3 months in, we are producing energy and haven't had any issues. I look forward to seeing how this translates to low (hopefully just the SDG&E minimum bill) energy bills once we true-up at the end of the 12 months (I will post an update then). I highly recommend Sunline Energy for roofing and solar installation. In fact, my colleague took my recommendation and their system will be installed by Sunline next month.

We had an excellent experience with Sunline Energy. We had three things done by them; panel upgrade, roof and solar installation. The work was done with speed, detail oriented, clean and with quality in mind. They took care of all the details so I didn't even have to think about permits, city of Dan Diego, etc. They used premium materials like the underlayment membrane of the roof, 225 upgrade on the panels, great quality shingles.

The demo on the roof was also clean and fast with no damage. If you are thinking about a reroof with solar panels, it's imperative that you get a company who can do it under one roof.
