Texas Best Fence & Patio

We just finished our backyard project with Texas Best Fence and Patio, including new cedar fence, flag stone, raised garden, sundeck over existing concrete, and river rocks. Overall, we were very happy with quality of their service and their pricing was also fair. Dustin took care of our project from A to Z very well. He is nice to work with, professional, and very responsive.

When it came time to replace our fence I got a wide variety of bids and I have to tell you, Dustin and the team over at Texas Best got it right the first time. They made the process personal, easy and trouble free. They did a project others were quoting 2 weeks for in a matter of days. On top, the workmanship was amazing and they did everything they could to leave my property the way they found it (well, better, actually). Dustin stayed in contact the entire time and make sure the project was on track. Heck, they even moved our install a few days so we wouldn't have to be inconvenienced with our dogs because of weather.

I would give them 100 stars if I could. Just another testament: we had about 25 people over on Memorial Day and almost every one asked who did our fence because they loved it so much! Great job Dustin and Texas Best!

Texas Best FENCE built a fantastic flagstone deck with a stacked stone wall around it. They allowed me to go find the stone I wanted at various rock yards. The craftsmanship far exceeded my expectations and I felt the price was very reasonable. Dustin was always very responsive and addressed all my concerns. A great experience and deck I will enjoy for years.

From start to finish our family could not be happier with our decision to hire Texas Best Fence & Patio to replace the fence at our home. Our project manager Dustin was responsive, answered any/all questions we had throughout the entire process and was very easy to work with. Installation was quick once approved by our HOA & city. Joshua Balderas was the salesman and project manager as we replaced our fence. We selected Texas Best Fence & Patio in large part because of Joshua. He impressed us with his earnest desire to listen and provide the best customer satisfaction he could. This meant that he went above and beyond in responding to our shifting plans. We share a fence with a neighbor that is only 5 feet and half is lattice work.

I wanted to place ornamental iron fence panels above a wooden section. He responded with a "can do" attitude and promptly let us know the construction team's answer. The crew we were assigned, Ignacio and Fernando, dazzled us with their speed, precision, and care around our precious flowers. They were a pleasure to have around for several days. My idea of the panels was a new one.

There came a moment when Ignacio, Fernando and I problem solved the panel placement on the boards and posts. The team effort paid off. The modification was an improvement over the original plan. So for quality craftsmanship, excellent customer satisfaction, competitive pricing, and a gorgeous fence, you can't go wrong with Texas Best Fence.

Our replacement fence and new composite deck came out great. Everything was done timely and with almost no issues. What small issues we did have (we are definitely nit-pickers), Andrea Patey and her team quickly addressed. Would definitely recommend. Andrea especially was great to work with. After meeting with several patio/outdoor kitchen experts we decided to go with Colby. He spent so much time going over all the design/material options. I really appreciated his attention to every detail I requested and provided his expertise in the overall layout and design. His professionalism is top notch. I was very impressed with how fast the project got done. Sometimes construction can linger but within a matter of days we had a working outdoor kitchen! Awesome work.

Ali Howard was incredibly professional, helpful with design implementation, and quickly responded to changes (we initially wanted to cover or cap the steel posts that were visible from the pool, but once we saw how good they looked, we requested they do this all the way around). Our fence looks fantastic, and the gate is solid and strong. We could not have asked for a better experience from Ali, the building crew, and from the cleaner/stainers. Everyone was professional and friendly and the result exceeds my expectations.

Texas Best Fence & Patio did an amazing job installing a new 8 ft, board on board cedar fence for us! Our project manager, Chris Hudson, was informative, patient and responsive to all of our questions. Chris was available by phone, text and email. Once we made our decision, our job was scheduled quickly, and the crew, Sergio and Luis, showed up on time, worked steady all day long and worked even after the sun went down!

They were fast, but also had great attention to detail and built a high quality fence for us! They also did a great job cleaning up when the job was done. We couldn't be happier with the work and the supervision of our job. We plan to call on Chris Hudson for future projects.

Well constructed! Due to the above-average rain in spring, there was a delay in getting it scheduled, but once it was, the work went quickly. The service was top notch, with Greg Sain, the PM, keeping us well-informed of important updates, and making sure to clearly communicate options. We purchased Japanese cedar, board on board, boxed in posts, 7 ft tall fence, with an automatic gate. We opted for an additional side door gate at the last minute, and Greg was able to accommodate.

My old walkway desperately needed an upgrade and I am so glad that I chose Texas Best Fence & Patio to get the job done. They live up to their reputation of quality, competitive pricing, and excellent customer service. My new flagstone walkway exceeded my expectations; the quality and attention to detail is truly impressive, and it's clear that a lot of care went into the project.

It has already received multiple complements from neighbors, family, and friends! The installers also helped me load a few extra stones into my work cart after the project was finished, which I really appreciated. It was a pleasure working with Andrea on this project. She helped ensure that I chose the best-possible solution for what I was looking for both aesthetically and financially.

One aspect that I particularly appreciated was the communication; at any given time I knew what stage in the project I was in, and any time I had questions Andrea would provide a response within minutes. Not so sure about their professionalism in my case. They worked on my patio on and off for over 12 months. During the construction, it was hard to get answers and plans from the company. We had had several changes of project managers. And then we didn't have any manager being responsible. It was a very frustrating experience with the company. The attached photos show rough finish at the bases of poles for my patio.

After reading other reviews and looking at the company website, we contacted Texas Best Fence & Patio for an estimate to replace an old wooden fence. Once I met with Andrea (Project Manager), I didn't feel the need to shop around. She was able to stop by earlier than expected, was professional, seemed knowledgeable & very courteous. She indicated that it would take 4-5 weeks to get materials, a permit, & on the schedule & she timed it perfectly.

Contract signed 9/13/21 & installation complete 10/16/21. It took two guys 1.5 days to get the job done & they did a fantastic job. They were also polite & very respectful of our property. From initial scheduling to project completion, I was very pleased with the overall experience & professionalism. I would highly recommend working with Andrea & the team at Texas Best Fence & Patio.

Texas Best Fence and Patio did a fantastic job replacing our old fence with a 7 ft board-on-board privacy fence with a 24ft. electric driveway gate. It was a delight to work with Andrea Richards. She was patient, understanding, and quick to address any questions or concerns that we had. The two gentlemen that removed and built our fence did an outstanding job.

They were punctual, efficient, and completed the job a day ahead of schedule. It was also fascinating to watch them build the metal frame for the gate from scratch. They were respectful of our neighbors, our property, and they did a great job cleaning up after the work finished. Texas Best overall did a quality job, and I am thrilled with the outcome. We will be contacting them first for our future projects.

I spent a long time evaluating which company I was going to pick to replace my homemade, aging fence. I picked Texas Best Fence not because they were the cheapest, but because they were the best. While the spring rains delayed the start of construction, once we finally got started, I was very impressed with Chris Hudson's management of the process.

He kept me informed via voice, text, and/or e-mail (unlike other companies stuck in the 20th century) and the results were great! The crew (Sergio & Luis) did a great job with quality results. I highly recommend Texas Best Fence & Patio for those that can afford top-notch quality!

We've used Texas Best Fence twice now. Once several years ago to build a larger covered patio in the backyard and more recently to do some staining and repairs to our fence and front and back porch wood columns. Both experiences were good and the work was excellent with the exception of the concrete on the back patio. We asked for a rock salt finish that they couldn't seem to get right after two tries. The wood work though, outstanding. We will not hesitate to use them again in the future if needed.

We are extremely unimpressed. I called 3 times for an installation date update, only to find out the person that came to do the estimate quit and it wasn't on the books. It took 2 months for them to come install 19' of fence. Their installer couldn't speak English. I requested to change the size of fence before it was installed and was hit with a $693 restocking fee (for 19' of fence!). Had I known I was going to get hit with a $693 fee for restocking 19' of fence, I would have kept it!

The service manager was supposed to come THREE times to look at the project and help me decide on the changes. After three "no-shows", that's when we decided to cancel the order. Awful experience

We had Texas Best Fence replace a retaining wall and fence in our backyard. Work was done when committed, price as quoted, and Chris was easy to work with. If we need work done in the future, we will be using them again!

Our experience with TBF was fantastic! Marc (972-571-4094) came out to give us an estimate and listened to everything we needed. He knew we were trying to keep things inexpensive and drew up several different plans so we could choose our best option. There was no pressure to get the most expensive plan. Our new fence looks awesome!

Alisha and her people are Amazing. Their attention to detail, and drive to do each job perfectly, is what makes them the cream of the crop.

Apologies for not warning the public to not use this company, because my experience with this company did not go very well. Buyer beware and make sure you watch em closely, if you decide to proceed. This company will cut corners if you don't specify the little things that they should guide you through, since they are supposed to be the experts. You've been warned. Good luck if you go forward.

Quality work at a good price is hard to find. Service and commitment years after is even more rare! Our HOA community purchased an electronic gate from them years ago which had run reliably without issue the entire time. It started giving intermittent issues over a couple weeks and we contacted several gate operating service companies - not knowing who originally installed our gate as the community residents had changed hands.

Our unit was under warranty but none of the three companies could figure out what was wrong for certain charging us $75-$150\ visit. Their solutions were to systematically replace major components until fixed. They also stated it would not be covered by the manufacturer. With that alarming news we dug into past HOA paperwork and found the warranty and receipt from Texas Best Fence.

I thought it was a long shot to get them to investigate- typically warranty claims are near impossible in the construction area to get fulfilled. Especially when so many are short-lived companies. When I called and explained our situation they were immediately receptive wanting to get me to the right person. I dealt with the office receptionist "Madeleine".

She listened and responded with a genuine, sincere tone. She put me in contact with Brock. After listening to my situation and that I had put in a ton of time investigating my own issues to get to this point, he was immediately on the ball. He called the manufacturer and we went through their expert manufacturer's support desk to trouble shoot and identify the exact issue.

I was very encouraged by the detail and methodical process LiftMaster went through to identify the exact problem. Neither TBF nor Liftmaster blinked an eye about warranty coverage. They were just old-school committed to standing by their product and services. While I received quotes for $100s-$1000+ from three other vendors who claimed to have contacted Liftmaster, clearly the only one who did was TBF.

They replaced expensive components even deducing one failure caused damage to another component and took ownership of that too. Brock never hesitated to respond to my calls even going so far as to provide his mobile if I ran into any problems. I just can't speak highly enough about the team. That kind of culture isn't created by one hero worker, it's created by ownership and management who cares to build a long lasting company. Kudos to the owner Colby and Brock's manager Amy for finding great people.

Every touch point from the first person I talked with, to the last who followed up that everything was done has to be there to create a great experience. It's like a restaurant: your meal can be great, restaurant can be nice and waiter on-the-spot, but it just takes one person to taint it all. Thank you TBF! You had our business before and you'll keep it for years to come.

My wife and I are very pleased with the construction of our Patio Cover. The project manager Andrea Patey did a superb job. We met with her to discuss what we wanted to build and she made excellent recommendations that made the final project perfect!. She was always available and kept in contact with us at all times. My brother originally told me about how wonderful Texas Best Fence & Patio are. He has been proud of his fence for several years! He came to my house and spent about an hour explaining the different options that he could do. He told me what he recommended that kept in line with my budget. He told me what to expect and kept me informed through the entire process. After my beautiful Fence was built, he came over and checked each detail to make sure everything was perfect. Now I have a fence that I am proud of and know will last for many years to come! Thank you so much!

Texas Best Fence (TBF) is a company with NO integrity and responsibility! Jeff from TBF came to do estimates for our fence replacement twice, but didn't identify our fence was installed on top of a retaining wall. He made wrong estimates. When his crew came today, they didn't know what to do, but Jeff didn't answer their calls or come in time to help (he was supposed to arrive at our home between 9:30am to 12pm today).

So the crew left without getting anything done. It is Jeff's fault, but when I finally talked to him, he was VERY rude! I then called TBF 3 times and sent an email, asking their owner Colby to call me back, but I received no response! We paid $3800 deposit for the project that is supposed to be done today and tomorrow. But their crew came and left today for getting nothing done and no solution for us to know what to do the next!

I called their office to talk to their admin several times, trying to come up with a solution with them, but they avoided my calls. The owner Colby was in the office based on their admin, but he didn't talk to me, didn't call me back and didn't come up with any plan or solution to help resolve the issues. We were totally left in the dark without knowing what to do after paying so much for the project. We therefore reported the case to the BBU for everyone to know this company, Texas Best Fence, having no responsibility and integrity to their customers!

Really appreciate the quality of work they did on my fence and electric gate several years ago but when I needed quotes to do additional work on two separate jobs on two separate occasions I could not get their attention. Like they don't want the work or something. I had someone come out for an estimate recently and had to call twice to get the quote and NEVER heard back. Disappointing and done with trying to use them again (which is a shame bc I do believe they do good work).

Last week I was given a quote for $9100 for my small backyard. Totally pissed! $1100 for one 4 ft regular gate. WTF Do not trust this company or believes the reviews.

Texas Best installed a beautiful 8 foot board-on-board fence about three years ago. The install went incredibly well, wonderful attention to detail. I should have written the review then. What prompted me to write now is that we contracted with them to restain the fence. Once again, they did a fabulous job! The guys were professional, considerate, and incredibly neat and tidy. Cannot recommend them enough!

I hired Texas Best Fence to power wash and restain my board on board privacy fence. They gave me a really good price and came out pretty quickly to finish the job and it looks fantastic. I've read the negative reviews about communication being poor but that was not the case with me. Texas Best Fence was very responsive and kept me updated throughout the process.

We just had our new fence stained by Will and Jerry at Texas Best Fence... Andrea Richards and her team always do an excellent job.. We have had several projects done by them and have never been disappointed in their work.. If we ever have issues we just call and they schedule a team to come out and fix it..We are very pleased with everything they have done for us and will be using them in the future for other projects..we highly recommend them to our friends and family...

The work and materials of TBF are the best! They are very busy and so be prepared to wait, but they are truly the best fence company in DFW. Don't send messages to the owner Colby, he got a little cranky with me for what he perceived as me over communicating with him. He told me to stop sending him messages. really? A repeat 4 time customer. telling them to stop messaging?

Other than that, they are the best. I've had my fence now for seven years, and had it re-stained two or three times by TBF. I still have the best looking fence in the neighborhood. I recommend this company but be prepared to wait and be patient.

WE LOVE OUR NEW FENCE!!!!! 15 out of 10 for the Best fence ever. Chilo and his crew built an 8 foot board on board fence at our home last month. We could not be happier with the results and Chilo was awesome. He and his crew were totally professional and responsive to all of our requests. The attention to detail in all aspects of the job was way beyond our expectations.

It was a joy to watch Chilo work - he is a true carpenter and an absolute professional - watching him work with a pencil, T Square and saw was the equivalent of watching Mozart compose and play music - Amazing!!!

Wow, really surprised by the bad reviews. We had them replace a very long section of fence in our back yard that was beyond crappy a couple of years ago. I called and they were super nice and easy to work with. Someone came out within a day or two and did all the measuring and estimates. I had a few companies give me estimates and theirs was not the cheapest, BUT, I knew I was getting all the bells and whistles with this fence.

They were professional and there was absolutely no pressure. After a few days, I called back and scheduled them for the job. On the day they were to start the job, the crew came out as planned and started work. They easily pushed down my sad excuse of a fence and started to haul it away (included with the price). After the old fence was dismantled, they started placing the metal poles.

They were very attentive to details and worked hard to make sure the poles were in line and straight. I remember the crew boss being very meticulous about the placement of the poles. When the poles were set, the cement had to dry for a couple of days before they could start building the fence. In a couple of days, they came back for phase 2. They worked hard and were very good at getting the fence up.

The top of the poles and the wood planks were uneven at first, but they made sure that everything was perfect and level by the time it was complete. The fence is beautiful and has lasted well. The wood was pre-treated and stained before the fence was built. I've added some extra waterproofing for the top, but that was just me giving it more protection.

Over all, I am VERY satisfied with the work they did. After the job was done, they were NOT pushy about the payment. I remember wondering when I was actually going to pay for the job. Someone came by a couple of days after the fence was up and collected half from me then. I mailed them the other half a couple of weeks later (arranged with them before hand).

It was cheaper for me to pay by check and not credit card (saved about 3%). Again, could not be happier with the job they did for me. I have another section of fence in the back yard I share with my neighbor that needs to be replaced and I will call Texas Best Fence when it comes time to get a new one.

Around my house, my late husband ALWAYS did everything that was needed, I don't ever remember having to call any service man to have work done so when he passed away in 2013 of course I knew I would have to rely on others for certain types of work. A few months ago we started experiencing problems with our electric gate opener & I had the privilege of meeting Alisha Coward where my granddaughter takes dance with her daughter.

So when this gate issue started I decided to contact her to see what company her husband was a part of. So through getting someone out to see what the problem was to going ahead with a new opener - we are now the proud owners of the new LiftMaster opener that I can even open from an app on my iPhone. Thank you so much - The installer did a great job & Ron who came out to hook up the remotes - he is an AMAZING guy - he made sure I understood how to operate everything before leaving it all with me!! Couldn't be more happier with the product, installers & most of all PRICE!! It's awesome to have a great company like this around.

We had a stone fireplace, gazebo, as well as an arbor done by Texas Best Fence. They then restained our fence to match. It all turned out beautiful. Three years later and we are still very happy. After the hail storm we need to have restaining done and I only trust Texas Best Fence to keep it beautiful.

I almost never write reviews, but as the experience we had with TBF was so good, I felt it was warranted. From receiving the quote (from Jeff) to completing the work (an extensive fence and electric gate installation), it only took around 10 days. The work was done in just over 3 days as we'd been told, and throughout the process the crew (managed by Chilo - I hope I've spelled it correctly) was fantastic.They were punctual, clean and respectful of our property throughout.

Any issues were brought to our attention immediately and our input / approval sought. We genuinely couldn't be happier with the work and would absolutely recommend TBF to anyone looking to complete a similar project. Thanks guys!

We hired them to stain our fence after reading the Angie's list reviews. (not sure how they have an "A" based off all the F's now that I'm looking at this closer) The main problem with them is the complete lack of communication. From the time we scheduled it to the time they came it was ridiculous. And I'm not talking about normal delays due to the rain.the right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing at this company.

The lady in the office, Amanda, confirmed thru their portal and on the phone a certain date they'd be there.no rain that day.the they didn't show. When they finally did show and do the staining, it was ok. They did not cover everything as promised. Mess on the plants, stained concrete around the pool.was not done properly. We requested a re touch.

Still needed a 3rd re touch. SO, I asked them to contact us prior to coming out so we can leave the gate unlocked and be there to show them what was missed to make this the last trip. Nope.they just came, climbed our fence and damaged the gutter down spout (guess they utilized that to climb up?) No discussion, follow up, or anything from Amanda when I advised her of this incident weeks ago.

She asked how everything was, when I sent this reply we got nothing in response. They need a complete overhaul in their office on who handles communication with the customer.

Great Service all the way around. Customer service walks you through every step of the way. A full build was done at my home. The builder had any questions he cleared them up before proceeding. Great Job!!!

Texas Best Fence completed our Patio cover a few weeks ago. We absolutely love our new outdoor living space and anyone that comes over just raves about it. Their quality of work is fantastic. After they built the initial frame we decided that we wanted the gable to be bigger, Colby took the time to take me to another patio cover to measure and look to make sure we got the gable just how we wanted it. Colby and Sean were always available when we needed something or had a question which we truly appreciate.

We trust that they will always do the right thing to make sure we are happy. The only reason I gave them 4 stars over 5 is for their project management. The project took much longer than the original timeline we were given. We did have some rain days that delayed the project. We would have liked to have seen more updates and communication during the delays. Colby took the time to come over and talk through all of this when the project was completed which I really appreciate. Thank you to Texas Best Fence for creating an amazing patio where our family loves to hang out.

UPDATE: I'm not going to take time here to elaborate on the headache and poor service we've had in attempting to get warranty repair work done to the electronic gate over the past 3 years.in brief; it's been a poor unproductive experience dealing with the office team and with the people who show up to survey the electronic gate problems and don't/can't repair it.

In the past few years since we have had several people inquire with my family who put up the fence. We always inform them that it was Texas Best Fence, but then we further clarify and elaborate how we would not recommend them because of the terrible experience of broken promises, delayed projects, unreliable service, and poor quality work and we promptly steer them elsewhere.

Apparently TBF has another Yelp page that focuses on staining.in which they seem to be better at managing and delivering service. But when you drill down to this yelp page and focus on construction work reviews.their ratings tank. Someone told me they are on Angie's List. I don't pay for that site, but apparently advertising dollars can get you better reviews.

But I digress. The Christmas tornado that hit Rowlett Texas damaged the fence. We paid thousands of dollars for repair work in 4-2016.and Texas Best Fence did a terrible, shoddy, amateur job. There was broken trim, unrepaired wood, misalignment of the fence line, detached boards, and holes in the fence boards. Even neighbors came around commenting on how they could've done a better job.

Since pictures are worth a thousand words, I've attached several pictures of their work. We have reported the unacceptable work to TBF. How well they own up to the substandard work they did and return to complete the job in quality is yet to be determined. Again.buyer beware.

We decided to choose Texas Best Fence after careful consideration and comparing their reviews on Angie's List, an Angie's list discount, and looking at some of their other work in the area. They were not the cheapest by any means, but it is a superior product with amazing customer service. While our salesman, Clint, was relatively new to the company, he is a veteran of customer service, and stood behind the work after the sale and throughout the project.

When the demolition of the old fence damage a surface drain and sprinkler head, they were quick to address it. They kept us up to date throughout the project with the use of a co-construct application. My neighbors had small dogs and had intended to put up a small temporary fence before the project started, but were pleasantly surprised to find that the Texas Best Fence team had already put one up for them.

Their attention to detail was amazing throughout the sales process too. Our HOA requested a few items be done with the new fence and the TBF team delivered for us on it. I'm excited to have a beautiful oasis in our backyard that is surrounded by a gorgeous fence with a 10 year warranty.
