We needed to get a new boiler and had multiple places come out to do a bid. Not only was Metro the best value, but they were so easy to work with. Andrew S and Josh A were our two technicians, and they did a fantastic job. Then, once they finished, Andrew didn't laugh at us (at least not to our faces) when we had him give us a step by step guide on how to do everything with our new boiler. (We took copious notes and, again, he didn't laugh.) Our new boiler takes up SO much less space, is energy efficient, and we're so pleased with our experience with Metro Heating and Cooling.

Andrew S, Jacob B & Josh B were such a great crew! Professional, polite and thorough. They were super respectful of my property and cleaned up everything as they went. They explained everything to me and asked several times if I had any questions. I'm very pleased with the work they did and would highly recommend Metro Heating & Cooling for any job!

I've used metro for 3 different jobs and each one, they have done an amazing job. Always on time and they make sure they do the job right. The water softener job took a little longer than usually but that was because they did the installation the correct way. Ac install took half a day! Arrived by 830 and were done by 1130, they were also able to schedule me within 2 weeks of accepting the proposal. No surprise fees either.

I contacted 3 plumbers about flushing my hot water heater. 2 came back with bids, Metro asked how old was the unit, 2.5 years I said. He said unless you flushed the heater yearly it would do me no good. He also said he personally never flushes his heater because the 3/8th inch drain won't get all the sediment out anyway. I thought he was very honest with me and I'll definitely look him up for the future

Metro is my go to when things go wrong! I've had a furnace, water shut offs & most recently plumbing for new sink/faucet put in. Always professional & explain everything with no surprises. I'm updating an older home built in 1958 and Metro is always here the next day or even same day service at a great price. They have beat all competition quotes. I've used Metro Heating and Cooling a few times now and frankly they remind me of the Professionals of old. They know their stuff, want to do a good job and offer a very good value. They have secured their place as my favorite Heating and Cooling company in the Twin Cities. I had a particularly good experience today with Tim. He was patient and knowledgeable about my old boiler, and what my options were when it came time to replace it.

We had Metro Heating & Cooling out to do our boiler replacement today and I was so happy with the experience! We got quotes from several different companies but ultimately chose Metro. Jake and the other technician (apologies as I do not remember his name!) were professional, friendly, efficient, and thorough. We will definitely use Metro going forward for our heating needs and will recommend this company to family and friends.

We had our furnace go out Tuesday and we were able to scheduled-to get our furnace replaced by that Thursday and very grateful with the quick response from Metro. Allen and Josh were very professional and explained everything clearly for any questions we had. Metro Heating is very lucky to have Allen and Josh. Also impressed with how Allen gave Josh directions on the install and Josh had no hesitation. He will be a great asset to the company. Very grateful.

Their scheduling is a bit lackluster. But I got a new water heater and softener installed at reasonable prices. Price estimates already included labor. They even did some extra work like removing a humidifier I didn't want and fixing my kitchen's water at no extra charge. Not something to expect, but that is quality service and good business right there.

Had a broken pipe. They were here in hours, worked fast and were friendly. Highly recommend these guys!

Probably anyone who replaces a water heater in the middle of a cold snap is showered in accolades, but I have 2 coworkers whose water heaters broke the same week and neither of them had their problems fixed as quickly as I did. Metro Heating & Cooling were fast, efficient, great communicators, and they did good work. Also, the guy who came out told us where the mysterious dripping water was coming from - an old chimney with a condensation drain that didn't have a pipe on it - and fixed it for us!

Sure it's $2 worth of plastic pipe, but do I know how that sh*t works? No I do not. And they did. They'll be our go-to for inevitable future HVAC and plumbing issues.

We had worked with Your Home Improvement company (Do not recommend) and they hired out Metro heating and Cooling to do the plumbing work. Charles and Mitch were great. Due to YHI company we were told to do everything we wanted done we'd have to pay additional costs (wasn't happy but not their fault) because Stacy was straightforward and honest with. use we also decided to update the water heater at the same time.

Now we have water pressure everywhere in our house as they removed and replaced all the water lines in our home. Very happy with the service we received and worth the additional cost.

Our furnace stopped working on Christmas day. Other places either wouldn't get someone out, or wanted to charge up to $600 just for the call. Metro got a guy out before we froze, fixed the problem quickly and affordably, and they were just so nice and friendly. I will definitely use them again!

John has come out two years in a row and is super friendly and knowledgeable about his specialty! He is honest about his findings and won’t throw tape on something and call it good. I trust that my family and kids are safer because of the high quality service we get. We normally don’t buy into “subscriptions” but after today’s visit we opted in for the “metro comfort club” membership. We want to help support this business as much and often as possible to keep them as long as we are living in the area! (And forever!)

Mechanics name was Brad. He went straight to his work and in about half and hour he declared it fixed and after two day it felt good to get the heat back on again.

Brian was the service guy and fixed my water heater. Turns out the issue was a dirty gas line to the heater that he cleaned out, I never would've figured that out! That night my furnace stopped working. They came right out next morning and it was coincidentally a dirty flame sensor that he cleaned for no charge. I will definitely use them again for maintenance or repairs.

We used metro for plumbing work -replacing a water softener and some repiping. Jesse our plumber was super helpful, patient and did a great job! He explained all the tips and tricks maintaining our new water softener. He was on time, and wore a mask and shoe cover at all times. It is tricky also bcus we are both working from home, he was respectful of that and just took care of things with minimal interruption to our work day. I enjoyed working with Nick, who is a very good communicator, patient and responsive. And very appreciative of the new tricks Jesse taught us about basic maintenance!

Great customer service! Totally impressed with how quickly our a/c was repaired. Called at 8 this morning to schedule service call expecting to have to wait at least a few days with this heat. Brian was at our home before noon made arrangements to return to complete repair after the coils defrosted. By 3:00 our a/c was again working. We were very pleased when we purchased our furnace and air conditioner from Metro and this experience only reinforces that we chose very well. Highly recommend

So, my kitchen faucet decided to go berserk and I seemed to exacerbate the problem trying to "fix" it. Well, I searched and got a quote from a few companies. I'd booked with a different company, who texted at the last minute that they weren't going to be there on time. Not getting a new time, I reached out again to those who had responded. Metro had originally stated that they could come out on Friday.

I didn't want to wait that long, so I got on their list to see if they'd make it out on Thursday. I was contacted a short time later that someone would be out between noon and 4. Relieved, I got back to work. It was close to 3 when the nice young man arrived. I let him in and ge went right to work. Less than 30 minutes later, he'd cleaned out and tightened everything that caused the issue.

The cost was $120. This was a quick, inexpensive repair with very friendly service. I've already given their name to a friend who's having plumbing issues at his home. Thanks Metro! I know who to call when the need arises again.

It turned out to cost me about 2.5 times what I was hoping, but the plumber who came did a very nice job. The new filter will allow me to maintain it myself without having to turn off the water to the house, which I appreciate.

Mitch had to cut out and replace old piping that was connecting the water filter so it was definitely a job I couldn't have done myself. Another plumbing company quoted me 2 to 3 hours which seemed outrageous so I felt fairly treated by Mitch and Metro. Thank you.

My dehumidifier had been running non stop for a month and water was everywhere all over my basement due to our furnace leaking. Metro sent a wonderful technician out fast and he unclogged our drain hose for us. Within 24 hrs, my dehumidifier has stopped running and the basement is dry again! Thank you Metro Heating/Cooling. You saved my basement floors, walls and my electricity bill! Plus they changed my furnace filter so I didn't have to. I will use them again!

I thought my thermostat was broken, turns out it's a 20$ part! He showed me what he did, and what did/didn't need to be fixed. Thanks Metro Heat & Cooling! Our AC died on Saturday morning. We left a message with Metro and got a call on Sunday morning. The person who came out just over an hour later was pleasant and professional and, most significantly, was able to repair the unit! It’s 2:15 and 85 degrees outside - and we have cool air! Our 7 year-old modulating condensing boiler quit working during a period of frigid temperatures. We called 3 firms claiming expertise with the newer mod/con boilers like ours. Each dispatched a serviceman lacking the competency to diagnose and remediate whatever was wrong. Thankfully a couple of them refunded what they charged for a service call. Metro Heating and Cooling is near our home and I stopped in to see if they could help.

They dispatched Tim, their diagnostic tech, the next day. Tim spent over an hour methodically diagnosing what could be wrong and ultimately discovered the heat exchanger was bad and demonstrated how he knew that. We decided to install a new conventional boiler and water heater. We solicited and evaluated bids from Metro, McQuillan Bros, and CenterPoint. CenterPoint could provide no firm installation date. McQuillan did a heat loss analysis to determine appropriate boiler sizing. Nice!

We selected Metro for their price-point, products they proposed, and project approach. Our experience with Metro was superb! The 4 techs that worked in our home were very competent, organized, neat, thorough, and keenly attentive to my expectations for replacing and adding isolation valves, gauge positioning, and explanation for how our cast iron baseboard radiation worked. Unbeknownst to me, Michael went the extra mile and tested the bleeder valve in each radiator to ensure it was functioning properly.

I was delighted when he mentioned replacing a couple that had vexed me for years! Bravo Michael! Woo hoo! Metro Heating and Cooling did a great job for us and exceeded our expectations at every turn. Work was completed in one day by a top-notch, competent, highly-skilled boiler team. We plan on working with Metro for an air conditioning solution next Summer. Thanks Metro!

Metro Heating and Cooling installed a new furnace or us late in September. The installing technicians were great, friendly and helpful!!! We also had their technicians here before and after furnace installation. The guys were so friendly, helpfull and knowledgeable. They made sure we understood what and why they were doing things. Lots of patience too.

People in the office were also great. The phone calls were answered quickly. They were super helpful. We would gladly recommend this company. We had an excellent experience with them. I feel the office people went out of our way to be very acomodating to our needs!!!

Have had Metro Heating & Cooling service my current home and past home, as well as my clients homes for years. Couldn't be happier with their service. Rainy is the technician I've had the past 3 times I've called service and he's incredibly professional and explains everything thoroughly.

Started with just an estimate to move my old A/C - they gave me an honest quote and honest recommendation. I ended up scrapping my old A/C and installing a new A/C in the new location. I am glad I took their advice. Their quote was the lowest of the 3 we received for a new A/C and they came through with the quality installation and removal of the old A/C - great job and great price.

My furnace had been making an awful rattling noise which I was worried was the furnace itself. I finally gave up and called someone to help. They were easy to schedule and got to me much quicker than I expected! He was able to stop any extra noises in the furnace and gave me some advice on the air filtration system which will save me a lot of money while he was there. Very nice and polite. I would definitely call them again if I have a problem.

I have had a couple of service calls on my aging furnace, had a new smart thermostat installed and a water heater replaced by Metro Heating and Cooling. The service has been great and as far as I could tell by shopping around their pricing is also great! One thing that really stood out was their honesty. They pointed out that my furnace is nearing the end of its life, but they did not push to sell me a new furnace.

They recommended repair but cautioned that a new furnace will be needed within the next few years. From past experiences other companies would have jumped at the opportunity to convince me that I needed a new furnace now. When the time comes I will definitely be calling Metro to replace my furnace.
