Vinny is an artist. He was able to perfectly texture match the plaster walls in our 200 year old home, it's like the cracks were never there. My husband and I could not be happier with the results. This is an excellent company, demonstrating all the high standards and customer service one would hope for in a contractor. Vincent J. St. George, the owner, communicates very well, meets his schedule, is reasonably priced and does excellent work. We needed major repairs to the kitchen ceiling and adjacent powder room ceiling due to water damage created by a leaky bathroom on the upper floor.

After doing some research, I chose Top-Notch Drywall & Plaster Repair, being impressed with the reviews. We were also in a bit of a hurry because of the upcoming new floor tile installation and new furniture delivery. I spoke Vinny J. St. George at Top-Notch. He was very understanding and got us onto his project schedule within a couple weeks, preceding the floor tile installation and furniture deliveries. Vinny did the work promptly on the dates he stated.

The work was the best I have seen in plaster repair and finishing. He also used wet-sanding, to finish the plastering, and very little was needed. The finished ceiling was beautifully smooth. The site was very clean after each day of work, not disturbing anything and without dust or debris. I did a ceiling fan installation in the middle of the project. Vinny accommodated my need for time to do the installation, and even closed in the ceiling around the fan. Thank you, Vinny, for an excellent job!

Vinny responded to my first call within minutes. Even though he was in the middle of another large job, he found a way to fit in our small kitchen ceiling repair so we could get it done sooner. On the day we had agreed on, we were not at home when he arrived (due to an auto accident en route), yet he was nothing but polite and friendly when he called my cell.

We rescheduled and, when he did the job the following week, we were very impressed by his skill and professionalism. He fixed the plumbing repair holes cut in our ceiling, as well as sealing nearby rust stains from water leakage, and matched the sponge texture perfectly. We highly recommend Vinny for any drywall repairs, especially ceilings!

Vinnie replaced a section of our kitchen ceiling and wall due to water damage earlier this year. He replaced the insulation in the wall and did the drywall for the ceiling and wall along with a couple of water damaged areas at the front door. The work was perfect. I called Vinny and he was to come over to give me an estimate. He forgot and never showed up. He then called me days later and apologized. I then had him come over to give me an estimate. He gave me an estimate to repair and paint a small area of my kitchen. I called him back a few days later to let him know that the electrician he recommended to me was going to come over on Match 1st.

So we set up for him to come over on April 5th. He then called me back about an hour later and said his quote did not include painting. He said he could not paint the same day as the repair. I was not happy about him, in my opinion, misrepresenting himself but I said fine that we would go forward. He then called me back about 30 minutes later and said he didn't feel good about doing the job and told me he didn't want to do it I have been told he does good work but there is something to be said about being forthright and professional. I would recommend buyer to beware.

Vinny repaired a major, open crack in the plaster ceiling of my 100 year old house. When it first happened, he came out immediately to give an estimate and since could not understandably schedule the work for several weeks, secured the hanging piece so it would be safe. Now, weeks later, he has completed the job in two days, as stated. It's like the huge crack was never there, and he secured all the other hairline cracks (common in a old house).

The ceiling looks fantastic and I'm so relieved to have the job done. Vinny was courteous, neat, careful of my property, communicative, and a genuinely kind person. Will definitely use Top Notch again.

Mr St. George (Vincent) repaired and restored the original plaster bedroom and master bathroom ceilings in our 1924 City house. He is responsive, conscientious and professional: from initial phone contact to job estimate to beginning and completion of work and clean up. He is a very personable fellow as well, which counts for a lot when someone is working under your roof for a week!

Vincent did a wonderful job repairing ceiling and trim water damage from a roof leak (above a fireplace). The area looks brand new and the whole ceiling was painted too. I'd highly recommend.

I had to get new insulation for my attic. This meant removing huge chunks of my textured cathedral ceiling. I was worried it would never look the same again. But have no fear when you hire Vinnie to do the repair. He is a master craftsman who loves what he does and it shows. My ceiling looks better than it did before and it looked good. No one could ever tell there were huge lines, new drywall, screws etc. truly and expert and I'm happy to talk to anyone about this terrific professional. Outstanding service and repaired my drywall that was damaged during a new tear off roof job that wasn't done correctly (every home owners dream right there) Vinny returned my phone call that day and we set up for him to come and inspect what needed to be done. Vinny was on time for the appointment and just a great person and confident in his work.

The ceiling which is straight from 1986 is detailed had to be fixed as well as replacing drywall that had to be removed due to water pouring in. Vinny had a quote within a day or two (which I was very impressed with because as we all know contractors are all very busy) and the quote was very good. Within a month Vinny came out and repaired everything and I can't even tell what part of the ceiling was even damaged.

We agreed that it was okay waiting that long for the repair because I knew there were other priorities out there. Vinny was very clean and no mess was left behind. He was also helpful in guiding us to a painter to paint the ceiling and walls. I have no issue painting myself but when this was from a poor roof job I wanted no part in fixing their mistake. I look forward to working with him again for other projects that aren't bad surprises.

We knocked out two walls and moved around our recessed lighting in our kitchen remodel. Vinny made our wall edges look brand new, and like there were never any walls there to begin with! We had moderate ceiling damage in the living room/dining room caused by the removal of a non-supporting wall and we were looking at an Open House in less than 30 hours that was on the on the verge of being cancelled because the holes in the ceiling were befuddling the handyman homeowner and was a real turn-off for any prospective buyers.

We had multiple areas of water damage and several holes in our kitchen ceiling from leaking bathrooms and plumbing work. The ceiling is highly textured and wraps around half of our downstairs. We had 2 different recommendations to tear the entire ceiling down and replace it, as it would be too difficult to repair the multiple wet areas and blend in the patches.
