Skyler/ Jay / Abe / Andrew did a fantastic job revamping my 1918 farmhouse! They finished within (just under) the 5 business days estimated, and were very meticulous completing the painting as well as daily cleanup. I found McClain's painting during a random Google search and wanted the "painter for a day." (There was a time when I was planning to do this job by myself and thought I would just need an extra hand). But after Levi came and did an estimate, it was much more reasonable than we thought - we booked a crew that day. They ended up coming the following week!

They arrived early and got right to work - finished the job the same day. Madelyn even came back the next day and did 2 extra spaces (also on time, and finished same day). There's NO WAY I could've done the job they did. It would've taken weeks and been so stressful. We are SO pleased with the results and already planning what the next job will be. Levi was incredibly responsive, kind, and helpful. Nick, Madelyn and Michael all did a fantastic job.

My husband and I were very pleased with our experience with the folks at McClains Painting. Lucas, Michael, Rodney, Danielle, and Jesse were all very cheerful and hard working, and we were impressed by the meticulous and professional job that they did. Lucas was also very good at letting us know what days they would be working, since weather delays are inevitable on any exterior painting project. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone and will definitely be using them again in the future.

We chose McLain's to paint the exterior of our house because they communicated well and were very thorough in quoting the work and answering our questions. Of the 3 painting companies that we contacted, they stood out for professionalism and responsiveness. It was a large, expensive project and we needed to be confident that the company we chose would follow through.

We had a great experience with McClain painting. They were always on time, very professional and had great quality of work. Rodney stayed late to get the job completed. Lucas worked through the rain to clean up and put our downspouts back up. Tristan and Stephanie did great work as well. We were very well pleased with all of the work and employees.

We hired McLain's to do some lead remediation work on our interior. After realizing the need to also do the exterior, we didn't even bid out the project but asked McLain's to schedule the job. Their work inside was so careful, thoughtful, and high quality and we wanted the same outside, as there were lead paint concerns there as well. They gave us a quote the next day and then were able to fit us in starting the following Monday.

Throughout the process, Joe and Jay were phenomenal, as were all the painters. They were so careful with the catching of any paint chips and their clean up was phenomenal each day. We have two young kids and were displaced while the painting was done, and they worked overtime and with urgency to make sure the job got finished quickly. They also took care of ordering and replacing damaged asbestos tiles before painting, meaning that we didn't need to hire someone else to take care of those repairs. Joe and Jay were both extremely communicative throughout the process and so considerate of our concerns.

They added on some significant work during the project and we always felt like we could ask them anything. We will never work with another painter in Knoxville! We really are so appreciative!

This is the second time we have used McLain's Painting for our house and we were just as happy this time as the first time. Charles was very thorough in his estimation process and explained how the work was going to be accomplished. Nick and his team did a wonderful job painting our exterior house and staining our decks. We appreciate their dedication to our job even through some rough weather days. We are very pleased with their work. However, we did have some issues with questionable billing practices multiple times. Once that was finally resolved there was no explanation or apology as to why it happened. We had to stay on top of it to get it fixed.

It was a good experience. The team did their job based on quality instead of quantity. They went out of their way to make sure that I was pleased. They were so careful to make sure that the work was done properly. I would recommend McClains to anyone.

I could not be more impressed with McLain's Painting Service. Very professional, very friendly people throughout the entire process. Our questions and concerns were answered and discussed prior to the quote (Michael came out first and gave us our quote - he was quite thorough), and everything was reviewed again just prior to the actual job with the Crew Leader, Nick.

Our house was thoroughly pressure washed, and Nick's crew painted the exterior of our home, including gutters and soffits. The crew always arrived exactly at 8:00 every morning, and were friendly, polite, efficient, and neat. They covered everything very well and painted our home as Professionals should. During the painting I had a few questions which were always answered with a smile and a will-do attitude. Nick's and his entire crew is comprised of skilled painters.

The team did a fantastic job. Micheal was the first contact regarding an estimate. The project was executed as we were told - our job foreman, Nick, contacted us on the date we were told and the project started on the date we were told. Color coordinator was prompt and very helpful. We were well informed through the process and the project concluded on schedule. Work performed was excellent. Would highly recommend.

Big thumbs up to these folks at McLain's. We have called on their services twice and I've been pleased both times. The first job they did for us was a tedious cleaning and re-staining of a pergola. They worked and worked until we had the results we were pleased with. I was very impressed with their team.

McLain's Painting did a great job with our ceiling popcorn removal. The took the time to smooth everything out before repainting & made sure that everything was to our satisfaction before we left. They left paperwork for the painting warranty & explained everything. They were professional, arrived on time & returned the next day on time. Will use again when the need arises.

I just want to say it was a It was a pleasure to have Mclain's crew come out to our house and do a painting Job for us they were the most Professional crew we have ever came across I didn't realize there was such crews left in Knoxville. We our pleased with the work Mclain's and the crew. They covered everything up even the floors before they. started the work they had a meeting with the field Supervisor Tony Dowell to discuss the plan like a coach at a football game.

I would absolutely recommend them to anyone! They were not time, very thorough, professional, and seemed to genuinely care about any needs or concerns we had. Unprofessional! After agreeing to estimate in December, they contacted me by email at 4:10 p.m. the day before start date to cancel my job. (3 months later) Couldn't even give a courtesy phone call. Huge waste of my time.

I've noticed that many other Knoxville paint companies have received 5 stars - but just in case someone is considering using McLain's, I want to make sure I recount my fantastic experience. I was expecting there to be a glitch or two with the big job of getting the exterior of our brick house painted. There honestly wasn't a single one!

Even the weather cooperated for us. If it hadn't, the process still would have gone smoothly. Charles, the owner, and his team provided excellent communication throughout. When it looked like rain on the forecast, I was told with plenty advance notice that the painters planned to be there. They were on time, super friendly and very efficient.

The quote we were provided was less than half of some other companies. They were able to use primer we already had in order to help us save some money which was much appreciated! When Charles came and performed the walk through with me, he answered all of my questions and put my mind at ease about the color I chose. He had a tool that color matched exactly and wasn't partial to any brand.

He knew everything about what it's like to paint on brick and reinforced my decision to not paint ourselves! Charles and I had an after-job walk through and I couldn't notice a single missed spot or mistake. If I do in the coming weeks, they will come back and fix no questions asked. Our house looks brand new now. Better than expected!

McClains Painting has painted many rooms in our home and painted the entire outside of our home. We were very pleased with the work that was done and the professional workers that McClains sent to paint.

The whole experience was one of professionalism and quality from the initial estimate visit (which was done on the spot with an iPad) to the phone calls from the office setting up the painting dates to the actual painting and the team doing it.

Charles McLain personally came out and for the estimate. He walked us through exactly how they would do the painting. The estimate was fair and reasonable. Everyone we dealt with was professional, punctual, detailed oriented and cleaned up the work areas everyday.

I contacted McLain's Painting last fall to get an estimate for exterior painting. I got an immediate response to my email and Doug did a thorough, detailed estimate. The painting itself was done very efficiently and carefully.
