Jim P. Godfrey is the founder of JPG Security Consulting (JPG). Jim is a former Police Officer who has served as a Law Enforcement Trainer, DARE Officer, Media Relations Officer, Crime Prevention Officer, Regional President of the Crime Prevention Association and was awarded "Officer of the Year" in 2004.

He was also an Adult Safety Facilitator in the corporate environment. Jim is a Military Veteran and served in Desert Storm. He has a Masters Degree in Adult Education, which allows him to easily translate his safety knowledge to the public. Jim always ensures to speak one-on-one to all of the individuals that support JPG Security Consulting.

This review is probably a long time coming. I've been using AZ Alarm Company for years now and they are so worth it. Yes you can do the DIY route or ADT or whomever but the customer service here is top notch. Leave a message (as they're normally swamped) and they get back to you pretty quickly. Installs (moved four times and they've installed at each place) are super smooth and the product is done right every time.

Totally worth the little extra to pay someone to install it right and update as needed. I tried the DIY stuff and there's a world of difference between me and someone who unequivocally knows what they're doing.

Really good at the sale. No help when you need service along the way. A couple years down the road we sold our home and we were dumped at the monitoring company to cancel. Az Alarm was no help and sent us to a call center with two hour holds. Then to find out you have to pay a month additional to cancel. All the while Az alarm gets a monthly residual for your patronage. Steer clear unless you want mediocre service after the sale.

I signed a 3 year contract with AZ Alarm Company and they sold my monitoring to Brinks. I have tried to cancel my monitoring with Brinks for 3 months and I am still being charged.

I have had my alarm system with them since September 2016 and had no issues. When I got a second home in October 2018, I decided to also use their service. I recently only stayed with one home and cancelled the alarm no longer under contract. This was back in September 2020, paid a tech to come out and set up the alarm in the home I stayed with. I recently checked my statements and realized I am staying paying for both systems. Therefore, I have been paying for the past 3 months for two alarm systems, which is why I paid a tech to come out to set up and make sure this would not happen.

The issue has not been resolved and never received a call back after leaving voicemails. Since it seems like customer service line is always busy and you need to leave a message.

All in all a great experience with these guys but I would just say be mindful of the contract. Mine was 3 years and at the end of 2 years I ended up selling my house and I'm having to continue to pay for the system until the end of the 3 years. I thought I was going to stay longer in my home but I ended up selling it. Great people here, you'll get a great product but just be mindful of the length.

Overall, I've had good experience with the company, but I would just say be very wary of the length of your contract. Either they or the company/companies that provide monitoring really lock you in. You pay the full rate on any unused months.

Very professional company. Answered all my questions. Showed up on-time with a good tech for the install. Post install we have had excellent service, very polite and fast to respond. We also love our video door bell and ability to control the thermostats from our phone.

Awesome customer service and product. No upfront fees either! Jim came out on a Wednesday afternoon to discuss our options, and the technician came out to install our system the very next morning. It works perfectly, and is super easy to use. Both Jim and the technician were extremely professional and friendly.
