Green Earth

I just need to drop a line about how wonderful the guys at Green Earth pest control are. I was thinking of renting a second floor prewar apartment, but some friends had warned me that such an apartment was likely to have problems with pests like mice and cockroaches. I got the idea to call a few exterminators and ask their opinions. I reached Kerry from Green Earth.

Off the bat I told him that I wasn't a prospective customer and asked for a few minutes of his time to get an opinion on the apartment situation. He ended up spending over 15 minutes on the phone w with me discussing the particulars of the apartment building and advising me, in his opinion, how likely such a place would be to have certain types of infestations.

One helpful piece of info he gave me was that all apartments are different -- you could have a 1k studio in a really old building with zero pests and a 40 million dollar luxury apartment with 24/7 maid service that has a huge infestations. He even got into hypotheticals about the exact apartment I was looking at: where it was located, how many units in the building, etc, and advised based on the specs. Then, without my even asking him to, he went a step further and started researching the specific building (by address) to find out its potential history of bedbugs (it had none), his company's history servicing the building (very few and limited visits) and the building's profile on NYC landlord/management databases (this building had very high reviews).

Long story short, he told me more about this apartment's hygiene standards than I ever would ever have known to ask or been able to find out on my own. All the info Kerry gave me motivated me to give the apartment another shot. After speaking to multiple tenants who affirmed that they had never seen a bug at the place, i ended up move forward with my lease.

As a bonus, Kerry addressed another question for me-- my complaint about carpet beetles at my existing place -- by referring me to HIS COMPETITORS, who offer an amazing all-in-one fumigation service that would allow all my stuff to be fumigated in one go while it's on the moving truck. In short Kerry at Green Earth gave 15 minutes and counting of help to a person who he knew was not going to book any services.

At the end he told me that he's in this business for that very reason: to help people. Kerry and the guys at Green Earth are really fantastic. Integrity and great customer care. what more could you ask for? I strongly recommend.

David is the BEST Technician at the company! I have basically met every technician at Green Earth that services my area and I am at the point that I want to request ONLY David going forward. I have used Green Earth since I purchased my apartment (6 years ago). Finally, this year the building secured Green Earth as our exclusive service. Thank goodness, David is our Tech for the building.

He is professional, kind, respectful, thorough and knows how to treat the building. He is observant and knowledgable as to the building's downfalls and knows what to suggest to the Board for the longterm health of our building. He is also neat and tidy when doing his work and respectful of your apartment. I highly recommend Green Earth and specifically David if he is available.

Amazing job treating our NYC coop. Green Earth treated the trash chute and 3 apartments next to the trash chute. A roach problem that had been going on for years (despite other extermination services) was vastly improved. They were thorough, reliable, communicated well. Switch to Green Earth; you'll be happy. They might be more expensive than other services, but it will be worth it because you will actually solve the problem and not have to keep paying people to come back so many times. Big thank you to Kery and Chelsea at Green Earth.

Our building has service from this company once a month. The signup list is posted in a public place and the same apartments are on the list month after month. The employee will come and spend 5 minutes spraying or baiting, and, surprise surprise, the infestation doesn't actually go away. And "Green Earth" is all marketing - they use the same sprays and baits that others are using. They are strong and will make you itchy.

My apartment building schedules with this company for pest control and somehow it lands on thursdays afternoon. I was the only person in my building that signed up. This was a scheduled visit so I had my roommate call off work to stay home in order to be able to let the person into the apartment. Apparently, the company sent someone to "knocked" on the our door, despite us having a doorbell, then left a note saying they missed us at 12:30.

How is it that they would not consider ringing the doorbell if no one responds at their "knock"? It also makes me wonder how much of a "knock" they really did if my roommate did not hear them. I called the company to ask why would they not ring doorbells and they said it's their policy to just knock, not ring doorbells. Is this one way for them to get out of doing their job?

Guess next time, I'll put a note saying to please ring doorbell. Keep in mind, the time range they'd appear in my complex is 12-5pm. I called the company at 4:22pm to ask if they can come back, but they told me they were done for the day.

They are terrible. They are not green to begin with.,. They use chemical. They call them low impact, but put chemicals in my fish cabinets and silverware drawer after I asked NO CHEMICALS! They then treated for a mouse by putting Dow 2 glue traps. and charged $500 an apartment! A COMPLETE RIP OFF.

Joseph did an amazing job following up on an extermination visit. Really appreciated his attention to detail. Recommend!

Wow. Amazing service from start to finish yet again. I first used Green Earth services about three years ago when I noticed a lot of roaches in my apartment. Took about a full month until there was little to none left. Fast forward to a month ago, I noticed some in my kitchen area and immediately called them up again. Big thanks to Chelsea as well as David and Francisco, the technicians that came through.

Professional and thorough with everything. I even paid for the follow up after a month went by (thanks again David). I highly recommend Green Earths services, and to take advantage of the discounted rate for the follow up services.

These guys are the best. They are so helpful, thorough, and attentive. It's worth every penny in my opinion. I had bed bugs in my NYC apt and was super scared/freaked out, and didn't trust my landlord to provide me with an effective solution. I called Green Earth Pest and they were knowledgeable, helpful, and were quick to find a date and get the job done.

Since then, which was about a year ago, I reach out to Kery whenever I see anything pest-related in my apt, and he never ceases to provide amazing customer service in record response times, giving me honest and helpful advice without ever trying to push sales. Best customer service from the phone to David in person today. My landlord sucks and I keep getting roaches. Instead of having the useless and strange men who do nothing come again and again, I decided to pay out of pocket to get a professional assessment of where the bugs are coming from as it's not because of anything in my actual home. Picked a date, put down a deposit, David called first day of with ETA, David arrived during the time frame he said he would, and David was fantastic.

Being a woman who lives alone I get a lot of creepy men coming into my house being weird when I need to call a plumber, handyman, etc and he was SO respectful and good at his job. He searched through everything thoroughly and answered all my millions of NYC vermin questions. He figured out all the spots where vermin were getting in and gave me a full report. I was then able to have my landlord take care of everything and now I have no more bugs. Good job David and Green Earth!

I called this company because I am earth conscious. I try to be aware of what products I use. Despite the fact that they are quite pricey.they do not warranty their service. I've worked w/pest control companies that tell you if there are still pest that they'd come back to re-do their job - NO CHARGE. This company, if they do not do a good job, will charge you AGAIN for their poor job. I NEVER in my life had that experience, where I have to pay for a job that was poorly done, AGAIN. BEWARE - they DO NOT guarantee their service, but they charge A LOT.

David from Green Earth Pest Control is not only a complete professional, he is also a joy to work with. He has been servicing our property every month for a year. He is always on time and always calls before he arrives. He is meticulous in his treatments, including glue traps, insect gel, and poison, and also offers handy and easily executed tips to further seal our space from unwanted intruders. We couldn't be happier with our service.

Total waste of money, no idea how they have 5 star rating (which seem to have definitely mislead me). We've been living in NYC for 8 years and haven't had issues with mice but started noticing them in the apartment for past few months. I setup an appointment with Green Earth Pest control right before going on a 2 week vacation. An exterminator came, we explained him the situation, mentioned we would be going on vacation and don't wanna leave the house behind for mice to breed.

He tried to close up few outlets through which these could be coming (I think around 3 or 4) and suggested we close one more which is behind the stove, we mentioned that we would do it right after we come back. I paid around $600! After 3 weeks, we saw no improvement at which point I called their customer service and asked if they could do something as we have a warranty.

The lady on the phone said the warranty void now as we did not action on the suggested items in 2 weeks! I mentioned that the exterminator knew we are going to be out even before treating the apartment and why he did not inform us about this. The customer service agent was rude and said that it is not his job and it is our job to go through the "terms and conditions".

I tried to request to make an exception but she was pretty adamant. So $600 gone down the drain and we're still dealing with the problem even after actioning on the exterminator's suggestions.

I have no idea why they have all 5 stars rating. I booked them based on yelper's reviews lol. Well, no doubt about their customers services. A star for that. The staffs are nice, professional but their treatment is not worth $250 plus tax. I found German cockroaches in my apartment and was freaking out even after I tried to use a couple of gel bait, trap.on amazon.

The guy showed up for like 15 min, used the same gel bait I bought on amazon for $7-$10. Nothing fancy. The only difference was I put way too much gel bait and he only used a little here and there to attract the cockroaches and when they eat it, they will bring back to their nest and the rest of them will be killed as he explained. Its been a month since I used their service. Still seeing cockroaches. In a nut shell, you could just save up $250 and buy stuffs do it yourself.

To begin with, this company and its NYC team is simply awesome! We unfortunately discovered a bed bug infestation in early May. We found Green Earth through Google search, and decided to go with their service since they have great reviews on Google and Yelp. It turned out that their service is as good as those reviews indicate. Their expertise, professionalism and top-notch custom service made the whole process a lot easier for us.

We were mostly impressed with how responsive and helpful their NYC representatives Will and Chelsea were during the whole process. They always answered our emails and calls right away with valuable input. Will even told us before the 1st treatment to call or email him anytime, even at night, if we have any questions on the preparation. The treatment was successful. We are almost 2 months bug free. I highly recommend Green Earth.

I have used Green Earth for almost two years. They did an intensive analysis of my home and yard, and tailored a monthly pest control program to my needs. Green Earth has always been prompt and responsive, will tailor their service as needs change. They just completed their monthly inspection.

I just got off the phone with Will and I just need to say WOW, this business has incredible customer service. My dog over labor day weekend was infected with fleas, the last 48 hours have been a nightmare in regards to treating him but I digress. My dog was never in my apartment until last night where I bathed him in my bathroom and he slept there in order to avoid him infecting my apartment.

I wanted to be super proactive in preventing any flea infestation in my apartment so I started calling a few pest control businesses to figure out if I needed to treat my place professionally. Will was so incredibly helpful and gave me the best advice of how to self treat the situation myself rather than trying to get me to pay for a full fumigation which he deemed unnecessary because of my circumstance.

Talk about an honesty company with integrity. While I didn't do business with them today, I will certainly turn to them in the future if I ever (which hopefully will be never) but if I EVER have an issue, they already have my business. So refreshing speaking with a honest company that genuinely wants to help you regardless of if you're a paying customer or not. 5 STAR BIZ!

We called 3 or 4 places and Green Earth not only was the first to respond, but they were also the most helpful as I was not sure how to resolve our insect issues. For the initial set-up/consolation, Chelsea was very prompt in regards to communication, appointment set up, and thoroughness. She provided an estimate quote for the roach spraying and all of the steps she would take if we moved forward with their company.

Once we decided to move forward, appointment setup was easy and we were given a two hour arrival window. They arrived near the beginning of the window, which is always a welcomed surprise with any type of in-home service. Peter baited multiple areas in our kitchen and around the house. The spray did not have a smell and wasn't noticeable, and Peter did the whole house inside and out.

While working, Peter was very professional and worked swiftly. He also walked me through everything that was being done and what to expect in the coming days. Green Earth Pest Control was amazing! Highly recommend them to anyone worried about creatures in and around their apartment.

This pest control company is great! Justin came out to our home in BK and explained what he was going to do to get rid of the crazy ant and roach issue coming from boiler room. He took his time, made sure he asked questions so that where he placed bait was right. He did our tenants apartment as well. Let's just say the ants are Gone! The roaches Gone! We are very pleased. Thanks Justin and thanks Green Earth pest control.

Glad I called Green Earth. I was concerned that I may have had bed bugs, but not having seen any evidence I decided to get an expert's opinion. Green Earth sent a dog to inspect our apartment, as well as our tenant's. Luckily nothing was found and we were reassured. They are a very responsive company and well prepared.

We liked the service we received. There were friendly on the phone and followed up right after and emailed us so very good on communication via phone & email. After we scheduled an appointment Chuck sent an email with the service confirmation and it included notes on What to expect after treatment & Post Cockroach Service Tips. The exterminator Peter was very courteous, professional, friendly, made us feel comfortable and answered all of our questions and did the 1st time visit with gel, powder, and traps to get rid of our cockroach infestation. He had a company logo on his shirt like the photos show.

By far the best customer service I ever experienced in all my time here in NYC. I sent an email late at night asking about an issue I was having in apartment. I received a call first thing today and was given the most helpful solutions possible. Not only was his interest ME and MY concerns, but he spent time explaining every single aspect of the problem to me.

Oh my god! I had a tremendous MOM problem (Millions of Moths). Thank god for the Green Earth service. They are professional, emotionally supportive, and the best part - got rid of MOM. I called Green Earth early on a Tuesday morning and within 2 hours my new friend Peter arrived.

From the excellent office staff to the service techs who visit my home, I highly recommend Green Earth, because after terrible experiences with other pest experts, the pest situation in my apartment is finally under control.

Do yourself a favor- get these professional knowledgeable exterminators to help you. You will be so happy you did. Will the case handler, Kery the manager, the heat treatment team and canine people - they all were so caring and knowledgable. They answered every email and every question. If you can afford it, use the heat treatment it is much less disruptive and only takes 24 hours to be bug and egg free. And no poisons are used! Just high heat! Thank you Green Earth!

They really go above and beyond in what they do. I'm a property manager and I'm impressed. They will make sure the job gets done right.

My husband and I just bought a new house and a couple of weeks after moving in we started seeing spider beetles everywhere. Of course I freaked because they resemble bed bugs - anyhow we called in an emergency exterminator who diagnosed the problem and recommended a treatment (we'll refer to them as bad guys from here on out).
