Landmark Roofing did my roof several years ago including ice and water shield. We had positive references from neighbors at the time. It has held up very well. Fall of 2021, water began leaking into the family room. Ryan determined that one of the 20-year-old skylights was failing. He provided a quote to replace both and also sealed around the skylights as a temporary measure, which kept the family room dry during 2-3 torrential rainstorms. In January 2022, Landmark installed two new skylights. So fat so good!

We are new home owners and were told during our home inspection that we should add collar ties in our attic to support the roof. We hired Landmark and they were professional, responsive and did a great job. A few months later I contacted them to fix a gutter that had come apart. Ryan came over and fixed it for free the next day!

Had Landmark do some gutter work on my home. Their workmanship is top notch, notably with copper gutters and downspouts. I work in the construction industry and finding someone that takes pride in their work is hard to come by these days. Landmark has it all, I wish all contractors were this diligent and good to work with.

Landmark crew had over 80 years of slate repair experience and it showed. They put on custom made copper covers on soil pipes, replaced step flashing on three dormers, replaced all broken slate, and installed custom copper sheeting on top of small back porch roof. They did a great job replacing our roof. We checked around for best price and reputation, and we made the right choice. We asked them for references, and they gave us some who were very complimentary. They were great in communicating with us, answering questions, and keeping us updated on scheduling. They did the job right on time with no issues. We would use them again.

Landmark Roofing truly wowed me. After several mediocre experiences with contractors hired for other jobs in my home, Landmark satisfied right off the bat. They made the whole process - from estimating a price for the scope of work to the large-scale removal and replacement of my roof with additional gutter and shingle work - remarkably smooth. Professional. Thorough. Transparent. Accommodating. They went above and beyond what I asked for. Even one of the owners of the company showed up to do some shingle work on site.

Really great company, amazing workmanship. Showed up on time, finished on time, and it cost what the original estimate said. We've easily got the nicest roof in the neighborhood (cedar) because of these guys. As a side note, they manufactured truly gorgeous copper gutters for us.

Landmark did an excellent job on my roof. I was especially appreciative of Ryan's prompt attention to my inquiries, taking the time to answer all my questions in detail. He also was helpful when I needed to select an appropriate shingle color. He was always easy to reach and was great in communicating with me while the job progressed. The crew arrived on time and the work was completed in one day. Plus the crew did a fine job in cleaning up afterwards. I would definitely recommend Landmark to anyone who needs to have their roof replaced.

Landmark Roofing is an outstanding roofing company. They expertly replaced a leaking skylight and repaired the surrounding roof at my home. They showed up on time, give clear explanations of the various options, provided a written estimate, kept within the promised cost, and did all the work in the promised time frame. Very professional and reliable, these folks have worked on my slate roof as required for several years now, as well as repairing/replacing some badly rotted wood gutters and associated areas. They come when they say they will, they explain clearly what needs doing and why, and they provide written price estimates in advance. After years of problems with other slate roofers, I'm delighted to have found them!

My husband called this company by recommendation. They sent Michael (Mike). I red all those negative reviews before so We did not know what to expect. However, they gave the lowest estimate among other companies. Difference was as much as $10k for a split level home roof. Now here is my advice. It all depends which crew will show up for your estimate and will do your job!

As I understood by reading these reviews there are number of different crews. ASK FOR MIKE ROY to give you an estimate. On the positive side: 1. We knew rood needs to be replaced (shingles) and he was OK that we chose the most affordable shingles. 2. He told us that they WILL REPLACE rotten wood planks on the roof as needed! NO ONE ELSE even offered this.

Price to do so was very modest. 3. Everything arrived on schedule. It took 2 days to doo al the job. First day they stripped old shingles, replaced some rotten planks and covered roof with ice and water shield. Next day they put on new drip edges & shingles. 4. They cleaned the yard! Once they left all I fond were 2 nails on 7000sf yard! Believe me that's impressive.

We dealt with other contractors before and yard was total mess. On the negative side. I am trying to recall something that I would call negative but I can not. Well may be that it was not free? :) Just kidding, They did nice job. My husband climbed up and checked the roof. You know there are quite some videos in youtube about not perfect job. They did it all right.

So here is takeaway from this experience. It all depends who will give you an estimate and will do the job for you! This is the ONLY explanation why 5star reviews are from Mike while other crews got 1star review here. Hope this helped. Thank you.

We were very happy with our experience with Landmark Roofing. Very professional and courteous and a pleasure to deal with. The crews were polite, punctual and great about cleaning up as they worked. Hal and Fred met all our expectations from budget, time line, and the finished product. We would certainly recommend them to anyone in need of slate roof repairs and maintenance. We will definitely use them again.

These guys did a very good job. I had three companies give estimates, Mike was the only one who actually got up on the roof to take a look. They got it done quickly, their guys were great to work with. After the job was done, there were a few small things that needed attention, Mike took care of them right away and took some time with me to give me advice other things that the house might need (things that Landmark does not do, so this was not for his own gain). I highly recommend Landmark.

The project went absolutely perfectly right from the start. They responded immediately to set up a day and time to look at the roof. They came right on time. The estimate was dropped off the next day. When we selected them for the job, they came right away to sign the contract and schedule it. They said they could start the job in 3-4 weeks, and it would take 3-4 days to do the job.

Then as 3 weeks approached they called and said they would be there on Thursday to start work. They had the entire job 99% done in 2 days! They kept the yard neat throughout the project. We knew that there would be some added cost for rotted wood and chimney repair, so that was no surprise. Other than that they came in exactly on estimate. Our house is a Dutch Colonial which is very steep, with multiple levels and a very tricky roofline with lots of valleys and dormers.

The roof looks great, we are extremely pleased with the results. We requested estimates from 5 different roofing companies, all but one of them from Angie's List. One came in ridiculously high, one came in ridiculously low (they were not on Angie's list) and the other three were in the middle. Landmark had very good reviews on Angie's List and was right up the street from our house. They gave a very detailed estimate, and the salesman seemed very knowledgeable and trustworthy.

I could not have been happier with the service we got from Landmark. Hal came out to my house to evaluate the currant state of the roof. He gave us multiple options/quotes in a timely manner. One of our skylights had a slight leak and they took the initiative to bring their skylight technician to our house to make sure we were provided us with the most accurate information.

Within a couple weeks, they had their crew at our house replacing the roof. These were the hardest working bunch of guys. They arrived early in the morning and were finishing up when I arrived home from work. The crew did a thorough walk through of the property afterwards to ensure there was no debris left over (much appreciated considering we have a toddler who runs around the yard everyday).

A couple days later, Landmark even sent someone back to the house to do a final walk-through to make sure everything was doing perfectly and cleaned up. I highly highly recommend Landmark.

Had these guys over for an estimate. (Wellesley) Came one week took pictures, then scheduled another appointment. I was wondering why there had to be 2 visits until i saw the proposal and my roof plan. Takes a little longer, but well worth it since now I know what i am getting for my money. Great Job, was worth the wait.

Fred is a pleasure to work with. He's professional, knowledgeable, and fair. I recommend Fred highly.

Don't use Landmark and here is why: We met with Hal several times, drew up a contract, signed the contract after clarifying some items, and submitted our deposit in May 2016. The job was supposed to start within 10 weeks of signing the contract. Everything fell apart the week before Memorial Day. Fred, who is apparently a co-owner/partner, called my spouse asking for us to select a color immediately and wanting to start the job the day after Memorial Day.

We frantically had to select a color but were excited the project would be started much sooner than expected. A few hours later, Fred stopped by our home unannounced and left wooden planks for the dumpster. He then proceeded to call my spouse again indicating that a huge portion of the contract (about 20%) was not properly costed and he didn't want to do it anymore.

After much going back and forth and being subjected to Fred's rudeness, he admitted that Hal had screwed up and he was going to "chastise him" for not drafting an accurate quote. It was clear that Landmark breached the contract by refusing to do the work they had agreed to do by signing the contract and cashing our deposit. Instead of offering to provide a remedy, Fred said he would be "happy to return the portion of the contract that he no longer wanted to do".

How generous of him! He was incredibly rude and kept insisting that he was on vacation and acting like he was doing US a favor, even though he was the one that reached out to us to accelerate the schedule. Fred also insisted that the portion of the job he was refusing to do was "minor" (even though it was 20% of the total cost) and asked us if we really wanted it (if not, why would we ask for the work to be done and agree to pay thousands of dollars?)!

At this point, we realized that Landmark had breached the contract and had no interest in making things right. We asked for our deposit refunded and this is where it got fun. Fred insisted that he was going on vacation and we needed to wait almost 2 weeks for his return to get a refund! We eventually got a refund, but it was not without a headache. Getting an answer from Landmark is like trying to reach the Pope! DO NOT USE LANDMARK. They are awful people who try to bully homeowners and who don't honor their contracts.

Loved the work and was impressed by the attention to detail and willingness to work long hours. Also amenable to customer preferences and suggestions. Very professional crew.

NEVER CALL THESE PEOPLE. Absolute awful experience and a waste of my time. March 17th - Hal, the rep, came to my house to evaluate my needs. Had a nice enough conversation with him. Hal pointed out some other areas of concern and I agreed to have them included in his estimate. Before leaving Hal said it would be a "few weeks" before he had the estimate to me since he was "very busy".

I had no issue since I wanted the work done in the spring and it was only mid-March. May 5th (53 days after initial consult) - I emailed Hal asking him when I could expect the estimates. He responded same-day saying, "My apologies for the delay. I will make every effort to get that completed and to you shortly." May 13th (60 days after initial consult) - I emailed Hal again asking when I could expect the estimates.

He responded same-day saying, "My sincere apology for such delay. Not to make excuses, just been swamped." May 23rd (70 days after initial consult) - I emailed Hal again asking when I could expect the estimates. He responded same-day saying, "My apologies. Yes, we are closer. Really making every effort to get this out to you." May 23rd - I went to the Landmark Roofing website to the 'Contact' section to log a my issue of not being able to get a response from one of their Rep's on an estimate for work, now 70-days old. David White, one of the partners at Landmark, emailed me same-day saying, "Please allow me to look into this delay.

We have been backed up a bit, one of our project managers has been out with a medical issue, however we should have been able to service your request and have communicated with you sooner. I will speak with Hal and get back to you on your project." May 24th - I responded to Dave, thanking him for his response and said that if they had issues internally (medically or otherwise) then I would have preferred to have been told that up-front instead of being given the run around. June 1st - I emailed Dave again saying that I was still waiting to receive my estimates and eluded to the fact that it was clear they didn't want my business. June 1st (79 days after initial consult) - I emailed Hal again asking when I could expect the estimates and suggesting that he didn't care to have my business.

He responded same-day with a long-winded email, taking very large liberties with the conversation we had on our initial consult. Actually suggesting that I had "take-away's" that I needed to accomplish on my end before any work could be done. LIE. He also suggested that we spoke about a "follow up meeting" to review options which isn't entirely a lie but I needed the estimates to understand what my options were. Also, he said that I wanted I "preferred an E mail with "numbers".this is commonly referred to as an Estimate, but clearly he is trying to minimize his role and lack of responsiveness.

He also included Dave and another person, Gary on the email (who I can only assume is some form of partner like Dave). I responded to them same day, appalled, calling out his lies and thanking them for completely wasting my time.

We had a great experience with Landmark Roofing. They did a thorough assessment of our situation and explained the various options (I'm not a roofing expert but they made it understandable). Their prices were fair and the craftsmanship seemed high.

I have lived in a 1929 Tudor home with a slate and copper roof since 2010. After experiencing roof leaks from ice dams in areas of the house that we had previously paid another roofer a small fortune to repair, I first called Landmark Roofing to remove the ice dams and then to fix the roof properly. First of all, when no one else would even pick up the phone let alone respond to my calls to remove the ice dams, Landmark not only responded but actually showed up a day early, and all the leaking stopped after they removed the ice dams. They've now repaired the roof.

This is the 4th roofer I've worked with and will be the only one I work with going forward. They show up when promised, work every day, and do a great job. I now understand why I've seen their truck at so many of my neighbors' homes.
