I worked with Suzanne to help design and decorate a new home in Scottsdale in a fairly substantial way. She was excellent from start to finish, offering excellent communication, fair pricing and always arriving on time for every single appointment. She also provided amazing referrals for the work that was done. At her recommendation the construction work was performed by M3 Remodeling, they provided outstanding work at a competitive price.
Work done included removing a wall separating two rooms, converting the fire place into a very eye catching feature, new floors, full master bathroom transformation, furniture for the entire home, new artwork and more. I am completely thrilled to have worked with Suzanne, and would highly recommend an initial consultation with her to see if her services can be beneficial.

We wanted to write and tell you how happy we are with our kitchen and family room. In fact we love them. Every time we walk into the kitchen we feel good. We have really enjoyed working with you. You have a wonderful sense of style and you are very easy to work with. You were always there for us to answer any questions and help us with decisions.

Very disappointing experience. I researched the ratings for commercial designers in our market. Suzanne's reviews were wonderful. Maybe we have worked with her during a tough time in her life, I have no idea. But, our experience was very disappointing, and what we would consider 'substandard'. My wife disliked her from the first meeting, but I assured her that her ratings and comments were very favorable.
I guess that is the last time I will make that mistake. She has her own agenda and pushed through her ideas about our office. When we, or our general contractor (who she insisted was the one to use) asked questions or suggested other options, she would become incensed. I have to take some blame for not doing better 'due diligence' about her measurements and designs. However, she missed the mark severely on the basics. And, this resulted in additional expenses to us which she has failed to take any financial responsibility for, despite her promises.
In the end, she essentially walked away from her responsibilities and left us to deal with the problems. I would give her less than 2 stars, but in fairness, she did find a couple of 'cool' design additions for the project. Honestly, look elsewhere.

My husband and I made a decision to update the interior of our home. We wanted this process to be a positive change for our family so we hired Suzanne, of S Interior Design, to assist us with this process. She assured us that with a plan in place we would be able to undergo this process with ease. Thanks to Suzanne and her expertise this has been a great experience.

Frustrated and ready to scrap everything and start over, we called Suzanne for a consultation. In the first hour we were together, we made the decision to move from just getting some ideas to having her handle everything. Suzanne didn't just work around what we had already purchased; she made those furnishings an integral part of the design.

Suzanne put together a design plan that incorporated our existing furniture along with new items for us. She updated our dining table by re-staining the wood a darker, richer tone, and reupholstering the dining chair seats. The new furniture along with custom window treatments and throw pillows, and great accessories (that we never would have chosen on our own) turned out great!

We had Suzanne consult on paint colors for our condo. I was overwhelmed and on a deadline, so I needed quick answers. In about 3 hours she got us moving in the right direction. She is very knowledgeable and decisive. She made other recommendations regarding flooring and furnishings that were most helpful. We hope to enlist her help after the holidays to complete some projects, but for now, she really set us on the right track.

I called Suzanne Lasky at S Interior Design because although I felt like I had a good foundation going, I just couldn't get my Great Room and Dining Room finished off. Suzanne definitely brought the frosting to the cake. Before she came, she had me complete a questionnaire and send her a link to my Houzz album so she already had a sense of my style and where I was going, so our first meeting was not spent on a lot of preliminary "getting to know you"---we got right down to it!
First of all, she is a lovely, down-to-earth person---a pleasure to work with. Secondly, she GOT what I was wanting for our home and really ran with it, offering ideas and refining my plans so things started falling into a cohesive whole. She was so enthusiastic and filled with creative thoughts she totally re-energized me! And she understood that I am all about unexpected bargain finds (I don't want the commitment of expensive furniture and accessories---what if I want to go in a totally different direction in a year?) and she was NOT snooty or condescending that some of my favorite finds are from Ikea.
In fact, she made suggestions of other great "bargain-hunting" spots for art and rugs. This is not to say she doesn't do high-end---you should see the portfolio of homes she has worked with and she had a great article in Phoenix magazine (how I found her). But she's flexible and all about what the client wants. I loved how she played and elaborated with my needs and ideas, so I feel like that even with her assistance, it's still all my house and the design is me.
And finally, she is totally pet-friendly, so not only did provide a lot of helpful critiques and ideas on design, she also gave me some great tips on training our new puppy---who danced around her feet nearly the whole visit. I can't wait to have Suzanne back out to see what I have accomplished based on her advice and keep moving forward. After two years, this project is going to get done!

Suzanne did a great job for us! Having never worked with a designer before, I was unsure as to what to expect. She is fun to work with, and from a design and implementation perspective was able to take us to where we couldn't get to in 16+ years. Her recommendations were timely and spot on, from products to recommendations to service providers. She worked with us, listened to our needs, worked within our budget, and really helped us to move things along. We are so happy with the results and will use Suzanne again for our next project.

We hired Suzanne for a paint consultation. We bought a house about 4 months ago and inherited some pretty bad taste. She was prompt and well prepared. We immediately got down to business and she helped us pick a color for every room in our house! It took about 2 hours total for a process that would have likely taken my husband and I weeks. And we picked some colors that we never thought we would like, but it was so helpful seeing them in every light and against every fixture.
If we had tried to do this ourselves, we probably would've been underwhelmed with our choices. She made the choices easy and gave us a space that will be easy to decorate around. We will definitely be calling her again for our next redecorating project! Thanks Suzanne!

We were very pleased with Suzanne's design assistance in decorating our brand new home in 2012. Suzanne advised on color selection for all wall colors and provided an excellent reference for a subcontractor to do the painting. She worked with us to utilize our existing furniture and accessories as much as possible. She accompanied us on visits to furniture stores to select new items as needed. Suzanne suggested fabrics for reupholstery and again provided a subcontractor reference to do the work.
She even helped to hang pictures on the wall!. Suzanne has a great eye for color. I would use her services again with pleasure, I would also recommend Suzanne for her professionalism and punctuaity.

I was stuck. I knew I needed to redecorate my family room after 10 years but was at a loss as to how to get started. I had purchased a large sectional sofa, but needed professional direction as to how to finish the room. Window treatments, wall colors, accessories all were added and now I have a brand new look and feeling in my family room that I absolutely love! Suzanne from S Interior Design came to the rescue. Now I look forward to working with her further to help update the other spaces in my house!

Working with Suzanne from S Interior Design was a wonderful experience. It was my first time working with an Interior Designer and I couldn't have picked a better one to work with. Suzanne has a fantastic eye for detail, she understood what I wanted for my home and was able to give me a finished project that was both beautiful and completed in a timely manner. I will definitely be utilizing her services for my next home project.

I have known Suzanne for 15+ years - she is a fabulous designer who listens, is flexible, and is considerate of budget and style. Suzanne has advised us in many situations.room layout, furniture selection, paint palette, accessories, and staging a home for sale. She makes her clients a priority, is honest, and I would work with her again any day!

We have worked with Suzanne on 3 projects now with the latest just completing in December 2012. One of the best things about working with Suzanne is that she really listens to what the client's vision is and then translates into reality. Each of our projects has been very different -- major overall remodel, bedroom/bathroom remodel, decorating a small cabin and each case, she worked to create exactly what we were looking for and needed. We will continue to work with Suzanne again and again until we have nothing left to re-decorate/remodel!

What can I say, Suzanne loves what she does and it shows in everything that she touches and works on. She has an amazing talent for colors and textures but she is also very flexible with the tastes and desires of her clients. I think that she works very hard in truly understanding the needs of her clients and really has the ability to deliver!

Think you can't afford an interior designer? Don't be so sure. My husband and I bought some furniture (impulse buy) less than 9 months ago and have been sorry from the day it arrived. Funny how fabric on a 6-inch swatch looks totally different on a large sofa. After many arguments and fruitless hours looking for just an area rug, we were left with only three options. 1.
Divorce with a custody battle over who had to take the furniture. 2. Take up smoking so we could accidentally set the sofa on fire. 3. Hire an interior designer. The least costly of the three. We went with the latter, and it was the best decision we could have made. I found Suzanne on a Google search, not the preferred way to find a designer, but we lucked out.
She is flexible and will provide as much or as little guidance in the design process as you would like, anything from just a consultation on paint color to actually shopping for and purchasing the furnishings, the route we chose. Suzanne is fast, too. Within a week of getting our painting completed, she had purchased and arranged for delivery of all of our new furnishings (she also used what we had already bought).
We were not allowed to see the room until it was completed, just like on HGTV. I used to think the shocked look on the homeowner's face was well-rehearsed, but my husband and I could not believe it was the same room! And although we had the option to return anything we did not like, of about 30 items she chose for us, which included everything from furniture and accessories to lighting and artwork, we returned one piece.
And this is from someone who thinks they need self-check return lines. She was always mindful of our budget, which was probably pathetic by Scottsdale standards, but you can't tell by the finished project (I have posted a couple photos). She also offers redesign services, using your existing stuff in new ways. As for the area rug, we love what she chose. Unfortunately, so do the two destruction machines that sneak out every night to claw it. We're hitting PetsMart this weekend for devices to scare the crap out of them, wait I don't need that on the rug either! I'm sure the puking on it will come sooner rather than later.
