San Diego Roof Doctor

This company has a crew in my neighborhood working at 7pm making a lot of noise. I asked them to quiet down & they were very rude. They claim it is going to rain, it is not. Is this after company hours?

The gentleman, David Pulido, who checked the questionable vent on my roof understood the problem. Inspected the vent, took a photo and explained the situtation. Scheduling the visit was easy. Only one phone call was needed. Service: Attic venting

Posting a review mid-meal, mid-project, or mid-whatever might be a dicey decision, but these guys are doing an amazing job on my roof RIGHT NOW. I have connected roofs with next door townhomes and the roofers my neighbors have chosen haven't done nearly as well as these guys. They clean up like you won't believe. They talk to you throughout the process.

They work the hours they can, so as to get done sooner. I've been my own GC for a major home remodel and you know a good contractor pretty quickly. This is the real deal.

This company did roof for my neighbor, but they were careless and horrible with the job, they were constantly blowing dusts and debris from the roof to its surrounding neighbor's yards, and oh wait, here is something more they blown to our yard, a long sharp metal piece! Luckily no children were playing around when that happened, they are dangerous, looking at their poor reviews, avoid them if possible!

We had our garage roof done by Emilio at San Diego Roof Doctor about 5 years ago. The work was good quality and it has held up well. In fact, we are now using them again for the main section of our roof. If you want an example of how much I trust them, I even recommended them to my boss this past week when he was looking for a roofer! I would recommend you at least have San Diego Roof Dr. one of the quotes you get for your roof.

Shortly after calling San Diego Roof Doctor Emilio arrived at my home and provided a very detailed assessment of the repairs and modifications I requested, and then we scheduled the job. Days before the scheduled start date Emilio emailed me while he was on his vacation--excellent! As the work progressed I was amazed at how hard his crew worked, especially since we had a major heat wave and the temperatures were soaring in Rancho Bernardo! Emilio helped with every phase of the project and it was completed on-time at a very reasonable price, and with even better work than I expected. The attention to every detail made this a pleasant experience. I cannot provide a higher recommendation--thank you again for your excellent service and workmanship!

Emillio came out to our home and was very knowledgeable and understood exactly what I wanted. I had gotten 4 quotes and he hit on every mark asked. By the way they weren't the most expensive. The crew was timely and friendly the whole time and did an impeccable job! So thankful! They even upgraded my Facia with 2x8 rather than 2x6's. Ridge vents, low riser vents and solar reflective system. I could not be happier and the house looks great and how much cooler it is! Thank you!

My experience with San Diego Roof Doctor and especially with the owner, Mr. Emilio Lopez was very satisfying. They were very professional in handling debris in the removal stage and installation of the new roof and all that was part of that process.

So since we never actually got any work done, I should really give it no stars. We've been trying to contact Emilio for almost over a month after he wrote a proposal for our roof but after many messages to him and his company we've heard nothing. I get it, it's busy with all the rain but time to move on and hopefully deal with someone you can pick up the phone. Anybody have a good roofer in the San Marcos area or around about?

I hate to give a company a 1 star but I feel so compelled to write this review out of frustration. This company was recommended to me by a solar company. Our roof is about 27 years old and before we do this solar project we decided to get our roof replaced prior. I called the company to schedule an estimate. They said that they were booked out about 2 weeks.

When I told them it was for a solar project they were able to fit me in the next Monday. Monday came around and no one showed up. I called them to see what was going on and Emery apologized and offered to come out that same day. He was really nice and seem to know his stuff. When he left he said we would get a quote by the end of the week. 2 weeks passed by and nothing.

I called them again and spoke with Isabelle. She took down my information and said she would call me back. Well I never received a call back. I understand this is probably a busy time for roofers due to the amount of rain we've had but I shouldn't have to chase around a business to give them my business.

Emery from San Diego Roof Doctor came out a month ago to look at some roof repair work I needed. He was polite and knowledgeable and I was told I would receive a quote within the next day or two, and was excited to have them begin the work. When I did not receive a quote within the week, I left a voicemail with their answering service. I've since tried calling repeatedly and emailing in the hopes of getting a quote, but haven't received any sort of reply. It's been a month and I'm back to square one with finding a roofer.

These guys are the best! They reroofed my house in Escondido, beautiful new tile! They also install 2 solatubes, roof vents (that match the tile!) and replaced my skylights. Here's another big plus. I was getting my house tented for termites before the reroof. They even came out a week before and removed the fascia board to my back veranda so they could drop the ten down next to the house.

It was a ton of work as they had to put temporary supports to hold the veranda up. And yet another thing, my veranda had always leaked where it met the house. Not anymore thanks to San Diego Roof Doctor! They are totally responsive and any issues get fixed right away. Responsive--I mean who else texts you back when they are on vacation! I had several bids and SD Roof Dr was right in line with the rest.

Price is one thing, but the real value comes in with the supervision and the excellent crew they employ. The crew showed up every day on time and worked till twilight. Both Emilio and Emery follow up (yes follow up!) and get the job done right. I couldn't be happier that I chose San Diego Roof Doctor! Mucho Mahalo!

Emilio Lopez was extremely honest, very informative, friendly, and easy to deal with. His price quote was right on and the work was completed in an efficient and accurate manner. We have had zero water leakage problems since the jobs completion. I highly recommend this service provider and would use him again if the need arises.

We got three bids, which were all Angie list recommendations. We met with two of them and a third sent in all their bids. Several questions were asked so that all bids were comparable to the work to be done and quality of material used, and the best of materials, promptness, and willing to work on the price received the business. Emilio (owner) still managed to take the time and consulted with us on the replacement of our Roof. I've been trying to contact this company for the past week. Are they not in business anymore? If they do not respond in the time they indicated 48 hours, I'm going to report them to Angie's list and the BBB.

These guys know their stuff. I have known Jess and his team for a while now and it's impressive how knowledgable they are about roofing. But what's even more impressive is how passionate they are about it. I have never seen someone light up and smile when they talk about their construction job like that. They do amazing work. I would highly recommend them.

I can't say enough good about these guys! I met Emilio from San Diego Roof Doctor through the company I work for, Solare Energy. We use them often for roof work associated with our solar panel installations. Our customers love them as well! With the impending doom of El Nino on the way, I contracted San Diego Roof Doctor to fix a substantial seam leak between the sun room and main house on a home we recently purchased.

The first big rain storm of the season (before repairs) came through sent water sheeting down the main house wall into the sun room. We quickly gathered bids from several roofing contractors, one of whom was a neighbor, as well as SD Roof Doctor. Price was competitive with the other solutions offered, but Roof Doctor's ability to get the job done quickly won them the work.

After signing the contract, they were out in less than two weeks (most companies were pushing us back several months bc of the El Nino demand and the small scope of work). Roof Doctor sealed the leaking seam between the sunroom and house, and double-coated the sunroom roof with Hydrostop, providing a 5-yr warranty for the work. The project was completed in 2 days, the crew was clean and professional, and the sunroom is now watertight. Thanks Emilio!

San Diego Roof Doctor's Jess Thieme is prompt, thorough and professional. Referred by a friend after we told him about our newly leaking roof, Jess came the next day, at at the arranged time. We were prepared for potentially expensive repairs because the leak was under some solar panels. Jess informed us the roof was generally in good shape, quickly diagnosed our problem (an isolated leak around a panel footing), and fixed it.

As a courtesy to us and our mutual friend, there was no charge! Instead of encountering a costly, complicated repair job, we met an honest and generous man who does good work. It was reassuring to know people like Jess are still "out there" in the workplace. He earned his place as "our roofer."

Buyers of our home wanted a roof inspection and chose Roof Dr. The inspector pointed out many problems with our concrete tiles and said several other things were not to code. I said they were to code when the roof was installed and we have no leaks. Yes, our roof had some slipped and cracked tiles and the flashings needed to be caulked. My jaw hit the ground when I received the estimate. Afterwards, we had 2 other inspections done by highly respected roofers (East County & El Cajon Roofing) both have been installing and repairing in SD for over 40 years.

Both bids to repair all the items were about 1/8th (yes 1/8th) of Roof Dr's quote and had 10 year warranties, not 5. Come to find out, this guy is a not an actual roofer. His license is held by ABC Roofing Services. Do yourself a favor and call a real roofing contractor to inspect a house you are trying to buy or sell. A hotel seminar course does not make one a roofer. Maybe if we'd had a mutual friend like previous reviewer, we would not have been potentially relieved of our retirement funds.

As a result of some termite damage that was discovered at my home, I was in need of some repairs that will involve some roofing work. I was concerned because it appeared part of the roof would need to be removed and that the repairs would be expensive. I contacted San Diego Roof Doctor their representative Jess Thieme came out looked at the damage and even took pictures.

I was very impressed the next day Jess emailed me and estimate the cost was very reasonable.
