Affordable Insulation

The service was explained to us, and it was very informative. The technicians were professional and courteous. Afterwards I noticed it was definitely cooler in the house. I had goosebumps. The only wrinkle we had was our discount was not initially applied per conversation. I called and this did get resolved before I approved pay out on the loan. This was outside of business hours around 7 pm so I appreciated getting this taken care of quickly.

Affordable Insulation is the best. Dan and his crew are competent and corrected lots of issues in a timely fashion. They definitely exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend

The two young men who worked on our attic insulation were very nice, polite and did everything we asked them to do politely and happily. They worked extremely hard. Great guys!

Super impressed with them. The consultation itself was incredibly informative about my home. They scheduled pretty quickly and took care of everything even though I had to leave town. They were fast, efficient, and left everything clean. I waited at least a month before posting this to make sure I could honestly say, my electricity bill is half of what it was.

Even though I'm using more AC with the heat rising. Their promises and impact held true! I'm officially a believer. Getting the right people to do your insulation pays for itself.

I searched high & low for a company willing to take on my project of insinuating my finished garage walls after being turned down by all the others Affordable Insulation of Oklahoma offered a solution, stepped up and got the the job done! Very pleased with the workmanship, friendly staff and feel the pricing was fair. My garage/workshop is now comfortable with insulation & air conditioning! They will absolutely be the first call I make the next time I have an insulation need.

This is review is not so much for the Affordable Insulation as it is for Chris "Critter" Caughron, the sales consultant that came to do the inspection. He was friendly and spoke plainly about the insulation in my home and how I might improve it. He had thermal tools to visualize hotspots so we could actually see how the insulation was working, as well as a little experiment to illustrate the effectiveness of different types of insulation. Chris has obviously been in the home improvement game for quite a while and it shows. He knows his stuff and he has connections to other businesses that also do good work. Thank you, Chris!

Affordable Insulation came, quoted and our project. When they told us the schedule was booked out for 6 weeks, we indicated we needed it quicker as we were in the midst of a remodel so we may have to keep looking for another service. The salesperson said because it was a relatively small job, they could squeeze us in that week or worst case that weekend as long as we gave them a $2,500 deposit and signed their service agreement.

We were happy to do it since we were told we could get the work done quickly and the salesperson seemed trustworthy. The end of the week came and they could not do the work and could not tell me when they could. We had other trades to schedule and really needed it done.as we explained to them in our initial meeting. I asked for the deposit to be returned only to be told company policy did not allow for that and that this was in the agreement we signed. Shame on me for not reading the agreement thoroughly and actually trusting them to be reputable. Not only did they not return the deposit, they wouldn't even respond to my follow up message asking them to please return the money. Buyer beware.

We had a great experience with Affordable. Very professional. We live a little farther away near Bartlesville, but this wasn't a problem for the service quote or the scheduled work later on. They gave a accurate estimate of when they could complete the work, showed up on time, and took one day to finish everything. They vacuumed out our entire attic of 50 years old insulation, sealed up all penetrations with foam, and then blew in R60 of cellulose insulation.

They were the only local company I could find that would do cellulose, everyone else pushes fiberglass. But cellulose is a superior product. Our house has very stable temperatures now from room to room, and we are able to use our HVAC system much less to keep it comfortable. A few days after they completed the work we had sub-freezing temperatures overnight and we left the furnace off to see what would happen.

We only lost 10 degrees of temperature overnight; we were amazed. One benefit of using the R60 insulation is how much quieter our house is inside. The insulation deadens sound considerably. We can no longer hear the rain on the roof, or cars at the nearby highway. Some houses are being constructed nearby, and we used to be able to hear that construction inside the house. Now, we have to go outside to tell if they are working or not. Would recommend to anyone looking to replace their insulation - this company is fantastic.

I had a great experience. The initial visit/bid process was professional, and I learned a lot about the product(s) and advantages of adding new/more attic insulation/upgrades. I was also able to add some external venting and make some modifications to the scope of work to address some of my concerns (i.e., created a walkway and mark with flags important items that would otherwise be 'lost' in the new insulation).

The work crew was incredibly diligent. I was shocked at how involved it all was, but they stuck it out for one long day and got the job fully done. The house has remained very stable since, seemingly not having much change in temp despite varying weather outside in OK. I was pleased - a major upgrade in an old house.

I recently had Affordable Insulation of Oklahoma remove & replace the attic insulation in my Muskogee, OK home. My home is over 50-Years old & the attic insulation was dusty, moldy & totally inadequate. Dan's crew removed all the old insulation, sealed air gaps, vented exhaust fans to the outside, and covered dome lights. Once these activities were completed, new TruSoft cellulose insulation was blow-in to give an R-38 Value.

Please note that all these activities were performed during an ice-storm with very challenging weather conditions in an extremely cramped attic. Quality work was performed leaving a satisfied customer.

Chris, Sarah and the whole team were great to work with. We had all the old attic insulation taken out and new put in along with some other weather proofing in the attic. The team was very knowledgeable and professional. I would use them again in the future and would recommend using them.

Everyone on the job was a hard worker. They were polite, conscientious, and thorough. This was a more difficult job than usual, but no one complained. And they did it right. I'm very happy.

A big thanks to Dan for redoing our home insulation correctly. Our house is so much cooler now in the hot dog days of summer!

Affordable Insulation did a great job for us. We bought a house that was built in the 50s, and it was impossible to keep cool. Affordable Insulation came in and took out all the old insulation, spray foamed cracks to seal in the attic, and then sprayed in new insulation. They were quick and very professional, and they cleaned up after they were done. Our house is doing a lot better staying cool now. I highly recommend them!

I posted a 5-star review after the service was done but it is no longer listed and I'm not sure why. However, while they did a good job on the actual spray foam I want to caution people on the rest of the story. Dan convinced us that getting the insulation done before we got our windows replaced would make so much of a difference we could hold off on replacing the windows.

That is not the case. The most frustrating part is that they were supposed to remove all the old insulation in our attic before spraying in the foam and they did not. Part of the sales pitch was showing me pictures of a completely cleaned out attic free of old insulation and reassuring me the smell from the old insulation would be gone once they cleaned everything out.

We have since removed eleven 50-gallon lawn and leaf bags of old insulation ourselves and are not done. The smell from the old insulation is still there and our attic looks nothing like the pictures I was shown. If you want insulation done fast, they can do that, but beware of the sales pitch because only 50% of it is true.

I contacted Affordable Insulation back in the middle of summer to come out and do an evaluation of my attic insulation. Dan Knapp was responsive, easy to get along with, and very informative. I hired Affordable Insulation to completely insulate my attic so there would be no air leaks. The guys that did the work were very professional and went above and beyond to make sure I was completely happy with the entire job from start to finish.

I've noticed a significant difference in how often my A/C comes on throughout the day now and the unit did not run non stop all day long throughout the hottest part of the summer. I highly recommend Affordable Insulation of Oklahoma, Dan Knapp and his workers.

Dan and his guys have done multiple jobs for me. The most recent was a shipping container downtown. They are always on time and their communication is excellent. The quality of the work and the clean site they leave behind speaks volumes to how meticulous he is. Highly recommend.

Amazing service! I called Affordable Insulation after calling a few other local companies for quotes on getting insulation done in our attic and wall insulation in a new room. Affordable insulation prices were the cheapest and they got our project done very fast.
