We Hired Matthew to design and build the Altar furnishings for our church. Having done a nation wide search for this service, we came up empty. It wasn't until it occurred to us that some of the finest furniture ever made came out of Grand Rapids Michigan. My conversations and visits with Matthew were amazing. Matthew did an awesome job creating replacement spindles and re-gluing our jenny lind bed.

Larry was vary helpful knowledgeable with the custom doors and drawer front on my project. He explained why they choose to use a stonger joinery then typically is used. The hole cost with the better joinery was still reasonable.

I paid Matthew Hutchinson, owner of Grand Rapids Woodworking a deposit of $750 three months ago (08/19) for a project that should have been completed the first week of 09/19. Matthew has not returned any of my calls since and has not completed the project. I do not recommend working with him and will be pursuing legal action.

I commissioned Matt to make a piece for someone else, a part for an antique spinning wheel. A day after meeting with him and describing how the piece should be integrated into the rest of the wheel I realized that I had made a mistake in the description. I contacted him to make those changes but the piece had already been finished. He ended up having to make the order again as the first was unusable however he was very understanding about the whole thing and even offered a discount for the second round of work.

I found him to be very reasonable all around, communications were always returned quickly, the second round of work was finished not only correctly but within the same day. The quality of the work itself was excellent both times.

Hired Matt at GRWW to transform a bare cargo trailer into an elegant customer space for our road shows. The craftsmanship, finish and feel of the final product was stellar. Not only are the customers always impressed, but our sales increased dramatically after making this investment. We highly recommend GRWW.

Asked for a simple project several months ago. Never completed it and couldn't get ahold of Matt by phone or email at all. Lucky to at least get my property back. A complete waste of my time and resources, not recommended.

Matt was able to take my vision for a piece and make it a reality. Great work from a real craftsman.
