Great American Handyman

Nothing Great About Great American Handyman! If I could give 0 starts I would! On February 23 2017, I hired John Baile and his Company Great American Handyman, to install a white 6ft vinyl privacy fence on my property. As per his requirements, 60% of the total cost of the product and installation was to be paid upfront in order for the fence to be ordered through the manufacturer.

That included 60% of the product and a portion of labor and installation. Do not ever agree to this with Mr. Baile or hire him as it's one of his many tactics deceive you, take your money, and run. The following will give you an idea of the stress I've had to deal with and how this company should never been used by anyone! On February 24, 2017, a check was written to Mr. Baile who assured me that the fence would be ordered with a 2 week lead time for installation occurring the week of March 13, 2017.

He cashed the check same-day - go figure! After not hearing from Mr. Baile, I inquired as to the status of the fence of March 23, 2017. Note: This is a month after payment was made. Mr. Baile advised that he would follow-up with the fence company to determine the status of delivery for installation. I advised Mr. Baile that the fence would need to be installed as soon as the product was delivered.

He had already breached our agreement and I wanted the fence installed so I could move on and never deal with him again. The fence was delivered on my property on March 31, 2017. Mr. Baile committed to an installation date of April 1, 2017 however; was unable to make this commitment. He gave multiple excuses and never rescheduled the installation. Hence, the fence remains on my property.

From April 1, 2017 to April 15, 2017, Mr. Baile refused to provide a date for the installation. I consistently followed-up with him and he has refused to answer phone calls and has resorted to text messages in order to avoid direct conversation. His text messages are vague, promising he will get back me but never does. During this time, I provided Mr. Baile multiple options for the fence installation including hiring a contractor and even refunding my money and taking the product. Mr. Baile refused to commit to any decision and continued to provide assurance that the fence would be installed without a definitive timeframe.

The fence was never installed. I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint as no consumer should be subjected to these unfair and deceptive business tactics by Great American Handyman or Mr. Baile. Unfortunately, the Better Business Bureau doesn't do anything for the consumer as even if you refute his response, the case is closed and Mr. Baile setup a new business - same name - removing the complaints.

If you are reading this, trust me, DO NOT use this company. I will fight him in court for everything he has done to deceive me, breach our agreement, and steal money for work not completed. Also, this company has done business with Beth Wallace. I met her through my experience and the response to her complaint is a complete lie.

Outstanding! John is the best. He does great quality work, pays attention to the detail, and is very personable. Very competitive pricing too. You won't find a better handyman contractor in the area. Very highly recommended. I certainly will use his services in the future.

I recently purchased a home and it needed a new deck. The guy from Great American Handyman came out and worked diligently with me to come up with a great idea. It took a couple of months to get everything finalized before construction could begin, but at no time were they pushy. The crew exceeded anything I could have imagined! The guys even helped me move my patio furniture back onto my new deck. My backyard went from being nice to beyond elegant! I absolutely LOVE my new deck. Hands down, I would recommend Great American Handyman to anyone.

After recent plumbing work, we were left with a jagged hole in our ceiling that needed to be repaired. We found glowing reviews of Great American Handyman work online and decided to give them a call. They were very easy to communicate with about the estimate and schedule. The work was fast, flawless and fairly-priced - and our ceiling literally looks better now than it did before it was cut open!

The guy explained everything he did and was also very meticulous about cleaning up the work area when he was done. We really can't recommend Great American Handyman highly enough and will definitely contact him for any future work we need (you should too)!

I was in desperate need for polycarbonate sheets and I am really very happy with the response of this company so I would suggest everyone give it a try and u won't regret, would suggest Great American Handyman to keep up the same response and same quality products to each and every one. We hired Great American Handyman for the construction of our new deck! They had great customer service and were very professional in answering our calls and getting back to us on any of our concerns. They started on time and finished ahead of schedule! The guys handled the sales aspect very well and you could tell that they had experience and were knowledgeable about the product.

The builders were also very polite and personable. They did an amazing job crafting our beautiful deck! Their work was swift and efficient and they too were very professional. All in all, we took a chance and were greatly rewarded. We would definitely recommend Great American Handyman for anyone who is looking to have a nice new addition to the outside of their home. We are so glad we decided to have Great American Handyman to rebuild our bathroom. The rebuild was completed according to the schedule without any hiccups. Awesome handyman! On-time, great work ethic, fabulous price. John and his employee did a fantastic job getting our fence installed. They also fixed some minor issues in the house. They cleaned up everything and were done in one day. I've already recommended him to several friends who have already schedule work with him. We definitely be calling him again.

I will never use anyone else! Mr. Baile and his crew are fair, honest and even better. RELIABLE!
