I am extremely Satisfied with my Awning! Henry and Moises where very friendly and polite and had my Awning up in a timely manner. I also want to include Daniel who spent time working up my quote and answering all my questions! Being that I was in customer service for 25 years, I have to say that I enjoyed talking to Liz in the front office. She is a pleasure to work with! Thank you ALL so much! I Highly recommend SC Construction! Diane Russo-Modesto

We love our new insulated patio cover from SC Construction! Everyone we dealt with was great; from Daniel who provided our quote, to Scott who came out when the project started, and the install team of Henry and Xavier. I especially enjoyed Henry's vocals on the patio while they were installing; he's quite the singer! The contracted electrician, John Case, was great, too, we've even hired him for some additional work.
Office staff provided timely updates as the project progressed, and I was impressed that they did a final walk through, and Felipe (project foreman) quickly corrected a minor issue I'd found, and even corrected another issue I wasn't aware of. We've been outside every weekday evening and every weekend since the project was completed; we absolutely love our extended living space.

After posting my review regarding the unresponsive inquiries for an outdoor patio, the owner of the company reached out to me the following day after my post. Scott introduced himself & did explain the issues that occurred; however, noted that it was no excuse. Scott asked me if I would give him another opportunity to make things right. We set an appointment & he did a very thorough explanation of the products he offered.
The price was a little high; however, he did go into detail as to why. Scott basically does not cut corners. He has ensured us that we would get the best product & installation! Thanks Scott for making things right with us!

If this review can help anyone else not have to go through what we did, then it is worth my taking the time to write it. I won't go into all of the details here, but suffice it to say, our experience with SC Construction was less than satisfying. I'm giving it 2 stars rather than 1 because the installers, Henry and Dave, did the best they could under the circumstances and we are generally happy with the result. However, we are happy with it because my husband managed the process and made sure it was done well.
The contracted electrician, John Case, was awesome. Other than that, it was nothing but headache and frustration. Here are a few highlights: * Our salesperson was Daniel. He was great when we first met him and was one of the reasons we chose SC Construction. However, he went MIA once the job started and sold us something that SC Construction apparently had never done.
We wanted to combine two pergola systems. Daniel showed us a photo of what we are hoping for. Great! Yes, that's what we want. Henry and Dave show up and say they have never done something like this. Uhm ok? We reach out to the owner, Scott, to ask why our system is not looking like the photo and he tells us that the photo was photoshopped. Say what?!
We have heard the installers say numerous times that they now know what they would do differently if they were to do it again - not happy about being the guinea pigs and not having things done as they should have been. It would be one thing if they told us upfront that they had never done this and we decided to go with them, but we feel like we were sold a bill of goods. * Countless times we would ask Scott for an update of when the guys would come to work on our job.
He would tell us to check with the office. We would call the office and Liz would say she would need to check with Scott. And around and around we would go. There was never any proactive communication as to why they weren't starting our job. Contract was signed in March. Work began in June. Much of the start delay was due to materials which we understand but it took many many calls to finally get Scott to tell us that.
Communication goes a long way. * Scott told us several times that he would come out to help on our job as it was complicated. Scott NEVER came out. He said that he would be there on the first day since his installers were over 40 years old and so he would help get the work done quicker. The installers, Henry and Dave, were great. They cared about the quality of work and made sure it was done as best they could.
They and the electrician were the saving grace on this project. * Apparently the workers have a deal that they only work a few days a month in the bay area (since they are out of Modesto?) so if you live in the bay, just know that the guys won't show up until about 10am and leave around 2p and will come sporadically. I can't blame them for not wanting to make the commute but then why is Scott bidding jobs out this way? * Our "3 day" job is still ongoing 5 months later. It's been 5 months since we signed the contract, 2.5 months since work began.
There is no apparent desire on SC Construction's part to get our job done. It's always us reaching out to them to ask when they are coming. * After installation, we had several issues including an electrical part for the motor that didn't work (it didn't work out of the box, then they brought over a used one that didn't work, and then finally ordered a new one that did work, causing yet another few week delay), leaks (still to be fixed), and downspout issues (still to be fixed). * The manager (?) Felipe came out on what was supposed to be the final day and seemed to care about our issues.
We had high hopes he would help to get our project done. Alas, it's been radio silence from him with responses only when we reach out to him. He did bring us bbq spices and tools with a thank you note. Forget the gift and just please get our job done. That will be the best gift. * One day the workers are supposed to come to "finish" the job. I get a text from Scott in the morning saying that one of the workers called in sick saying our job was stressing him out so they would not be coming out that day.
He said this was the first time a worker called in sick because of a stressful job. Weird thing to tell a customer, but ok. Plus, doesn't Scott realize that if he was stressed, it's because the salesperson sold a system that was too difficult for them to build. This day of him calling in sick happened to be on a Friday of a 3 day weekend.
I come to find out on the following Tuesday that the worker was heading to Yosemite that Friday morning. Somewhere along the way, someone was lying. They are supposed to come out this week to finish the job. Of course I've heard this from Scott so many times that I'll believe it when I see it. Save yourself the headache and choose another vendor.

TLDR: Professional, safe (proper PPE), Fair pricing, prompt, excellent after install customer support (Shout out to Felipe!) Would recommend ------- I had SC install a lattice patio cover on my house a couple weeks back and love it. The process started back in January when we first gave them a call for a quote. After discussing briefly in my email what we were hoping to achieve, they scheduled someone to come to our home and help us finalize the details.
The sale rep was very professional, was masked, had samples of the materials and colors and arrived on-time. The purchase permitting process took a bit longer than I had expected as I had to receive county and city approval, though the office staff was communicative and friendly when I called in for updates. I had to take on some of the tracking down of points of contact and form delivery, but not a huge deal.
Install was easy. It took them 3 days total (1 to dig footings and deliver material, 1 to have inspector sign-off and for the install and one for electrical to finish up). I had a couple touch up items that needed to be taken care of and Felipe H was super responsive, personable and efficient when he came by. I'd recommend SC to anyone looking for a patio cover.

I had a LifeRoom installed by SC Construction. The initial interactions and customer service were pretty good. However, the quality of the initial installation could have been better, and my latest service request has been frustrating. During the walk through after the initial installation I had to point out missing caulking and loose fasteners. Also, after the first rain the LifeRoom was leaking from the sky light and where the LifeRoom and house were joined.
It took them three attempts to fix. Also, within that same year one of the misters got clogged and I reached out to them to get fixed on 5/20/20. The installer shows up at the house without prior notice and attempted to fix it. Instead of fixing the mister he actually made it worse by causing water to spray everywhere when I turned the misters on making the entire system unusable.
At least with a clogged mister I could still use the system. My LifeRoom gets a lot of sun during the summer which was the motivation to get the misting system. Needless to say, I couldn't use the system the entire summer. I've contacted SC Construction several times to get it fixed and their response is we will look into it and get back to you. This has not happened; I ended up calling again just to be told the same thing.
It's been over 5 months since this has happened and still no progress. At this point I will contact the LifeRoom dealer directly and see if I can get the parts from them and fix myself. I will also work with state and legal resources (ARAG) to make sure these interactions are documented so that others can avoid the headache and inconvenience that I have.
I also gave feedback on some of the unprofessional behavior of their installers which may be another reason this work hasn't been completed. Extremely disappointed! ***UPDATE*** After posting this review, SC Construction has reached out to me and resolved the issue with the misters. I do appreciate how they acknowledged the mistakes and fixed the lingering problem in a professional manner.

Loved that they showed up wearing mask, since safety is a high priority. Their work is very neat and detailed. They took down my old wood patio and replaced it with a beautiful alumiwood patio. They also installed an outdoor fan and patio lights. The pricing for the work done I think was fair. I would recommend this family owned business, they treat their customers with respect.

We had a solid patio cover built. Junior and Trevor did a great job. They were professional and courteous and got most of the job completed in one day which was very helpful for us to not have to be inconvenienced with work, keeping dogs cooped up etc. we looked at several companies before choosing sc. there price was competitive, they gave me proof of insurance and returned my phone calls which I can't say about their competitors. Thanks sc I will have use you again when the need arises. Thanks again Jason and Trevor!

Sc construction built a large patio cover for our home. They did a fabulous job! All the staff was very kind and professional. They let me design what I was looking for and made my vision a reality while giving me great suggestions. Thank you to Steve and the crew for doing such a great job. I would strongly suggest this company!

I have used SC Construction on two of my homes for patio covers. You won't find anyone more honest and genuine then Steve. My last patio install was about two years ago with all the fancy fans and lights. I just recently had my windows washed on my two story home and needed advise from Steve on how to get the window washer above the patio. Steve went into action immediately and had his foreman come out to help with the situation. Who does this after two years? He is an awesome owner who will always get my business and I love referring clients to him. Please use SC Construction, they are the BEST!

I had a patio cover put in in February, 2018. Scott, one of the owners/managers, gave me 3 price options from which to choose. All of the options he would stand behind, but 2 of them had better warranties. I chose the middle one. I did appreciated being given these choices. It was not a hard-sell situation, which was also a big plus. There were a couple of times that the installation day was cancelled, and this set the process back a week or week and a half.
When the day came that it was put up, I couldn't have been happier with the process, the professionalism, and the end-product. I only wish I had called them years ago. My property looks vastly better, and the investment is totally worth it. No regrets whatsoever! Thanks, Scott at SC Construction!

Steve's son was the main installer of the Patio cover project. He worked quickly and with 100% quality. he was respectful of my yard and my house. He spent much more time than he had to, getting my electrical line in perfectly, so no wires or conduit was showing. I just can't say enough about how well he treated us. The patio cover came out perfect.

I'm so impressed with these guys, from Steve who came out to give us a quote to the awesome professional installers. Steve was very down to earth, no sales pictch, just honest quote. We had 3 bids at the time, and Steve was the only contractor that could build it the way we wanted. The other two flat out they couldn't do it. What was even better was that Steve turned out to be the lowest bidder. Don't hesitate to go with these guys.

SC Construction did an AMAZING job for us. We couldn't be happier. Jason, the sales lead, was so great to deal with. He laid out all our options in a totally no pressure situation. Their price was super competitive with the best materials. We interviewed 3 other companies and they were by far the best. The work was top quality through and through. Matt, the crew lead, was exceptional and extremely professional. They were also very detail oriented and no corners were cut at all. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a patio cover. Thanks SC Construction!

In August 2015 we had a patio installed by this company and we are very pleased with the job they did. Steve (owner) came by the house several times to measure and offer advice and suggestions. We changed our minds twice on details, and Steve was patient and very flexible. He was always on time for appointments, very professional and likable ( a big plus with us) His estimate was very reasonable (we compared his price with others) and the job got finished on time. We would highly recommend SC to anyone wanting to build a patio.

I bought a Viking hot tub (Legend) from SC. I happened across these guys at the Fresno Home and Garden show while I was in the market for a hot tub. I was somewhat intent on getting either a Jacuzzi or Sundance, also considering a Marquis perhaps, but overall, I was disappointed that I couldn't find a dealer in Fresno who sells hot tubs manufactured with a high density thermoplastic instead of acrylic. I'm not interested in a cabinet full of insulation or a fiberglass / acrylic structure disposed to creasing and cracking with age.
The shells on Viking tubs have a lifetime warranty and pleasing, shiny aesthetic, so yeah, I'm in. I can see why some people could be turned off by the *idea* of a plastic hot tub, but this is a great, industrial material for hot tubs and doesn't feel like common plastic. plus you get the lifetime warranty so no need to worry. I've gotten a number of compliments on the shell specifically.
The SC Construction sales guy was professional, knew a lot about hot tubs and seemed genuinely happy with the product. They got me a good deal and installation was a snap. Good experience.
