Discount Contractors

I had a small project completed with the company involving bathroom demolition, drywalls, tub and some valve install. I would start off my review with some positives. Tom is responsive, which is an essential quality for a sales person, so I think that is a good thing. People showing up to do the work is generally friendly and hard working. Work gets done pretty quick too.

My problem with the company is that there is absolutely no quality control. I do not claim to be the most experienced person in home remodeling, but there were some very obvious issues such as incorrect plumbing fittings used, not so straight drywall corners or drywall that flexes when you push because they didn't use enough fasteners. I cannot be certain if they are incapable of seeing the issues or chose to ignore them because it is easier and quicker for them to do so.

But I suspect it is the latter since issues are pretty apparent for an inexperienced person like me. So I am left with the choice between being the "difficult customer" calling out on all the errors to be fixed or spending a few days after they left to fix them on my own. None of these is ideal and all of it is unnecessarily stressful. They might be capable of doing some demolition work or simple jobs like painting the wall, but I wouldn't recommend them for any work that is more complicated than that. Discount Contractors was recommended by a neighbor who also had excellent remodeling work done by this company. This was our first time experience with remodeling and boy did we bite off a huge chunk of changes all to be done at one time. We felt it was easier than stretching out each project one at a time. Remodeling is not for the impatient or weak at heart, it's an ordeal even with the best company.

We remodeled three full bathrooms, added kitchen cabinets, board and battened a vaulted foyer, replaced a stone fireplace with cast stone and marble, replaced old hardwood with wood-look tile in main areas of first floor, and painted. The end result is fabulous and Sean Carmichael helped us fully realize our vision. All this was done at an affordable price, with people in your home you can trust, and Sean will make things right for you and warrants his work.

Sean did our new tile in our master bathroom. They crew was on time and worked diligently for 2 days. It was done quickly and as in they worked and got the job done. There wasn't much idle time like some contractors do. Sean came and checked the job midway and communicated with us throughout. Great prices too!

We met Tom at a local Home Show in the Berry Center. We were impressed with his straight-forward approach to remodeling. After we sat down and reviewed our master bathroom remodel requirements, we decided to move ahead with Discount Contractors. Sean is very professional, his crew just installed granite and solid wood custom cabinets in my two bathrooms and they came out excellent. Also, 11 years ago, his father Tom's crew did a room addition in my house that I enjoy every day.

I met Tom at the Spring home show. We were looking for a simple patio cover to cover our existing concrete. Tom came out and gave us a price on the spot. We had some other quotes and some were actually a little lower but we could tell Tom had built several covers and would be able to make it work with our complicated roof line on the back of our house.

Our experience with Discount Contractors was amazing. We had our kitchen remodeled and Tom kept everything on schedule from the cabinet installation to the back splash, like clockwork! Rorque does beautiful cabinet work and was at the house when he said he was going to be. Gargario had to meet us at 6am before we went to work and he was right on time.

I found Tom on the website. I was very impressed with what his customers had to say about him and his company. I set an appointment and Tom came over. I wanted to get my kitchen done. I wanted some cabinet modification and granite tops. My kitchen was 20 years old and needed a face lift. Tom gave me some ideas on what would be the best way to do it.

My wife found Discount Contractors on the web. We had a leak in our pan in the master bath and there was water going under the floor. We talked to several contractors. Tom came out and looked at the job. We also wanted a custom vanity built. Tom looked and the project and gave us a price. He said the entire job would take no longer than 2 weeks once it got started.

I found Discount Contractors on the web. I was looking for a reliable contractor to work on my master bath. I wanted to make a shower out of my bath tub. I had hired a contractor to build a vanity and put granite on the top. It took them 2 months to complete the job. They were not professionals. I didn't want to go through that again.

We have never had any major remodeling done. We left our name at the home show and Tom called and set up an appointment. We wanted our kitchen upgraded. We had the cabinets refaced, granite installed, tile on the back splash, new lighting and the entire kitchen painted. Tom gave us a price on the spot and a few days later we contacted him to do the work.

We had him do a lot of work on our house. We met with Tom and went over the entire project. He gave us a price on the spot. We just felt very at ease with Tom. We knew he was a professional.

After he gave us the price we just said let's do it and we have not regretted anything. Discount Contractors refaced the cabinets, tore out 2 walls, granite counter tops, remodeled the bathroom, painting, tile and wood floors. The crews are very professional. He has a great attitude. We liked the fact that Tom could do all the work. His crews did the electrical, plumbing, tile, painting everything. We could not be more pleased with how our house looks. I had Discount Contractors work on the house I had purchased in Sugarland. I got Tom's name from Floor and Decor on hwy 6 where he is a preferred contractor. I had some other prices but Tom really seemed to know what he was doing. They refaced my cabinets, put granite on my kitchen counters., tiled the floor and painted. I had it all done before I moved in. Great job.

We are selling our house in the Woodlands and had a lot of cosmetic work that needed to be done to get it ready to sell. Exterior painting, fence work, bathroom. I wanted to use professionals and someone I could trust to work on my house.

My home is over 4000 square feet and I did not want to trust it to just anyone. I have never been involved with contractors like this before. Gregario and his crew were very professional and did an unbelievable job on the house. They showed up every day and worked hard. They did such a good job I kept adding work to the project. I still have more for them to do.
