The guys were very nice. The main reason for the "average" rating was the cost. They were here for 1.5 hours and to replace one wire cost me $472.00. They also replaced a light switch but that's because they took the old one apart while trying to diagnose the issue and couldn't use the same switch when they put it back. They didn't take me into the bathroom and show me what they had done before they left or I would've known that the switches are now backwards for the light and the vent.not a big deal, I can use to it.
One other issue that I'm not 100% satisfied with is that they took my old breaker off and put a new one on to "test or diagnose" the issue after allowing my breaker to trip several times and instead of just leaving the new breaker on, they took it back off and put the old one back on. Just makes me concerned about the functionality of the breaker since it's been tripped so many times now but the technician said there was nothing wrong with the old one so I just have to go with that.
When they first arrived, I was told that the max amount I could expect to pay would be around $500 but that was if "it turned into an all day project". They were here for an hour and a half and I was out $472. The pros: they were on time so they are dependable; the guys were nice; the problem IS fixed. The cons: the cost! And maybe walk with your customers when the job is done and show them what you did so they can catch things like switches being backwards before you leave. Lastly, I'm not sure why they advertise free estimates when you're told as soon as you call that there is a $70 service charge. But at least I can say that I do have power restored to my bathroom, but ouch, the cost hurt.

You don't know how much you need your electricity until your underground service goes out. I didn't even realize it could go out until the Swepco guy said to contact an electrician. The guy came out and gave us an estimate and explained what would happen and by the dinner time the next day we were back on line. The guys were so professional and considering they had to dig all across the back yard to get to our meter it was quite a project. I will definitely recommend McNeer for any electrical issues in the future.

My neighbor had a new electric service run across their yard. They dug on my side of their line and cut my cable service. When I got home and saw that my internet was out, I asked them if they had done anything around my line. They responded by asking who my internet provider was and told me to call them. I've now been without for 3 weeks, made about 6 calls, Comcast has been out 4 times and it still is not fixed. Also, I was told I may be charged for the service. The lines were clearly marked. Careless and unprofessional work!

McNeer goes above and beyond to make sure their clients are well taken care of. I had a sense of urgency with my needs and they were the only company that made arrangements to meet those needs, while others told me it would be at least a week. If I ever have any more electrical needs, I will be a return customer! excellent customer service!

I'm floored by the exceptional customer service I received from McNeer Electrical Contracting. From the moment David called to let me know he would be there shortly, I knew this was going to be five star service I haven't experienced in a very long time. To be honest, I was in the car taking my children to school when he called and was on speaker phone.
The moment I hung up, I looked at my 13 year old and said "wow, that's probably the nicest guy I've ever spoken to!" She agreed. The five star service didn't just end in a phone call, but got even better when they arrived. David took the time to explain everything to me, what it would cost and what he was going to do to fix the problem. in detail.
There wasn't a moment where I felt rushed in deciding what option would be best. Trevor came into my home, not before putting shoe protectors on which I thought was fabulous, and couldn't have been more polite and efficient. They both did an amazing job and even put back all the things they had to move in order to get to the breaker. It was so apparent that this is a company who treats their employees like family and in turn, their employees treat their customers the same. I will forever be a loyal customer.

McNeer Electrical was quick to come out and take a look at a few electrical issues. They made sure the issue was fixed before leaving. I had an outdoor issue and the tech sent me a video via phone to assure me that it was working as I was not at the house at the time! Courteous and timely and would recommend them.

First I wanted to say this is my first review I wrote online and I am happy to do so for this amazing company. They are wonderful! Another company was unable to work on our electrical cable and I called McNeer Electric at 11 am in desperate need of a repair for that day because we been without A/C for almost 2 days! I have a newborn and a toddler at home who did not do well the night before and I was hoping to find a solution.
I spoke with Melinda (who is also fantastic) and she was able to pull some strings to get me on the schedule. Patrick, the technician, was on time, very professional, and had a smile on his face despite the 95 deg weather he was working in. He updated me throughout the day and at the end of everything the electrical lines were fixed. A bonus was that he was able to tell me that AT&T was at fault for the tampered lines and they should be able to refund me!
They are a great company from the front office to the field work. I felt safe and at ease and would recommend them to everyone! Thanks to all who helped me and my little family have a good night's rest. =)
