Wendell Siding

I spent 3 months just trying to get a quote and work done from Wendell Siding. Drew was not responsive or communicative. I had to call and email multiple times for the quote and once I signed to have the work done, I received a call that they would be 2 weeks out. 2 weeks came and went with no word from Drew. 6 weeks and I finally reached out since I had heard nothing. Got no response. Emailed to cancel my agreement so I could find someone else to do the work and 5 days later, he emailed me back that he canceled our agreement and he was sorry for the delay. Really? You should be sorry for not communicating at all. I wasted months with this company when I could have had the work done already. Stay away and find a more reliable company.

We used Wendell Siding to replace our siding and repaint our house. They removed the old siding and installed new siding and trim. They painted the entire house as well as the fascia board on our shop. They installed new gutters on the house and shop. The crew was great and easy to communicate with. They did a great job and the house looks awesome. We've had lots of compliments from the neighbors. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for work on their house.

We hired Wendell Siding to install siding, trim and gutters on our home in Spring of 2017. While there were issues at the time that were eventually resolved, overall we're pleased with the result. Recently, we needed to take down the porch pendant light in order to clean and repaint it. When we removed the dome cover, we realized that the installer cut basically a 1 1/2 diameter hole for the pendant chain to come through, rendering the wiring inaccessible.

Not wanting to void any warranty, we opted not to attempt any cutting of the siding. We contacted Wendell via email just last week, and heard back from them within two days. We were told that one of their installers would be able to stop by when in our area and address the issue. The correction was taken care of this morning. Thank you, Wendell Siding, for your prompt attention.

Buyer beware. Started off ok. Gutter job went well and they even came back to fix one section at my request. However, It was a bit of a struggle to schedule the follow up. I got the feeling they didn't want to come back out but they had excuses that seemed legit. Then, tree fell and hit the house causing damage to about 12 feet of gutters. This is just a couple weeks after I spent $1000 on the complete gutter job. Great, right?

I called Wendell siding to come out and repair the damage, figuring I'd pay for just the damaged section. Nope. They want to charge you for half the house ($500) for 12 feet of gutter. Really? Great service. Very disappointed there's no desire to retain customers. I had just referred a couple of neighbors to them as well. Forget that, I'll make sure to tell them to stay clear. Good luck if you use them, it's a one and done situation.

First the good. The installation crew did a great job installing the 19 windows I purchased from Wendell Siding. Now, the reason I would never deal with them again. There was a complete lack of communication from the very beginning. Once I chose them, they never initiated contact with me again. My first promised install date came and went without a word.

When I called the following day, I was told it would be 2 more weeks and later learned that didn't even order the windows from the manufacturer until 2 days before that date. My second installation day was approaching and I called. That was a complete fiasco but ultimately, that date was also not met. After raising my concerns to the owner, I ultimately was given a third date, which was a Tuesday.

On Monday morning, while I'm 125 miles from home, I get a call that my home alarm is going off, because Wendell Siding is installing my windows. This time, a day earlier than scheduled, but we did not have the inside prepared for installation and we wanted to be home at install. Also, the quote I received originally was incorrect and I never got any claification nor a revised quote. The lack of communication, coupled with a sales guy who lied to me, and their inability to do as they say, should cause anyone pause before doing business with them.

The team at Wendell Siding installed a new roof, hardiplank siding, and gutters for me. Going in I was nervous as that was a large project that we had been saving a long time for. Couldn't be happier. The guys were courteous and knowledgeable in their work. House turned out great. They even gave me a custom crawl space door after the fact. Highly recommended.

For some years we had been looking into having our siding replaced, so we got in touch with several companies. Wendell Siding did not subject us to lengthy presentations trying to sell us expensive products, etc. They were clear and direct; they understood that we were on a budget, so they gave us advice, but in an honest way. We finally went ahead with the project this summer, and we were extremely pleased with the crew; they were polite and efficient.

When minor problems came up, they were quick to correct them. And there were no surprises: they delivered within the budget in their initial proposal. Oh, and they expected no payment until everything was completed. All in all, a great experience.

We hired Wendell siding to do a whole house replacement of our masonite siding with vinyl siding and trim. While the main part of the job was performed fairly well, the finishing touches were sub-par. It seems like they rushed to finish up and had some very sloppy cuts and installation of the trim pieces. We have two areas of concern (significant buckling outward of trim around exterior rear door and also around a window.

After numerous emails (that were initially ignored) they finally sent out the project coordinator. He looked over the areas of concern, and promised us that a repair crew would be in touch to schedule the fix. This was back in NOVEMBER of last year. We never heard from anyone! Just prior to posting this review, I sent another email regarding the issue. We'll see what comes of it. If they make good on the repairs, I'll follow up with an additional comment to this review.

A few years ago Wendell siding replaced 11 of my windows and did a great job. It has come time to replace the remaining 6 windows in my home, some window repairs ( not the windows they replaced) and a new door, so I called Wendell Siding. Set up a time to get estimate for 9:30 on a Monday morning November 27,2017. At 7:35 am that morning school called and I had to go to the school.

I called the number provided to let the salesman know I had to cancel and asked if he could please call me later in the day to set up a new time. He never called but I got an estimate via email which included the windows and painting my house. I never said I wanted my house painted. I never saw the salesman, never heard from him and am still wondering how he came up with an estimate without coming to my house to see what I wanted done!

I contacted Wendell siding told them I did not want house painted, had not requested for house painted and they sent me a new estimate (told me the first estimate was from a previous time) well they sent me the same estimate as the first one! I could include the emails here from Wendell Siding but I think you get the picture. I finally said forget it and am in the process of looking for another company to do the work.

It has been 5 years since Wendell. Siding replaced Roof, and Windows. I am looking to xall them for a siding estimate. So thought I do a review. Marino, still There? He was great his crew, the workmanship, clean-up, start to finish great experience. Solid prices, no up selling. I dealt with that yesterday with an HVAC, contractor, lost the bid too. Wendell siding yes, I going hack back after 5 years.

The job was fairly priced and everyone at Wendell Siding was professional, would recommend your services to friends and family.

This company is phenomenal! They are honest and full of integrity. After hurricane Matthew another company tried to sell us $4k worth of windows. Wendell sent someone out promptly to look at our issue. They didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need. Their prices are reasonable and fair. They were also the ONLY company to help us with a siding issue. They have all our business from now on. I won't call anyone else.
