Deck Masters

We have no words to describe how pleased we are with our new deck and patio with fire pit and stone flower beds. We have wanted to do this for 30+ years and now our dream is a reality thanks to Dan, Liz, and Martin. The quality, personable service, professionalism, and product has been second to none! Our estimate came in well below the others we had, and the projected date of completion was right on target despite issues with product due to shortages and the pandemic.

The end result is AMAZING! The only problem we have is that we want to stay out there 24/7! Martin and his guys were so great and talented with their work! We wanted an old fashioned screen door that bounces against the frame like at grandmothers house and the hinges thatsqueak, and they built it from scratch! Now WHO DOES THAT? We fell in love with Liz and so did our pups who supervised her wonderful work every time she was here.

She even brought them daily treats! And of course, Dan is the BEST! He even came here on the Sat of Memorial Day weekend, worked like a dog for ten hours by himself, finishing construction of stone flower beds for us and assuring everything was perfect before he left! There is no way you would ever receive better service from anyone in town than these folks! We would give 10 stars if we could! Thank you for making our dream porch a reality! INTEGRITY! It seems difficult to find a company of excellence and integrity these days; Deck Master of Tennessee is one if those rare gems. They did an excellent job tearing down my old deck and redesigning a beautiful new deck for our home. Additionally, the lumber company made an error in my order and Deck Master caught the error and quickly corrected it at their own expence. The job was carried out in a timely and professional manner. The deck is beautiful and the neighbors love it too. Thank you guys! Great job!

Dan, Liz and Martin knocked this screened porch out of the park. They were extremely professional throughout the entire process and communicated expectations very well. We couldn't be happier with the beautiful deck Deck Masters installed! I interviewed about 15 contractors and Dan was the only one who provided a fair price and made me feel confident I would end up with a safe, beautiful deck to enjoy with my family. The price was reasonable, the team who demolished my old deck and installed the new deck were efficient, professional and did fantastic work. I can't wait to have them stain the deck in a few weeks!

If you are wanting a new deck or screened in deck, Deck Masters is the only choice. Our new screened in deck and uncovered deck for the grill is amazing. The quality and finishes are incredible. Even though it is cold, I bundle up and sit outside. Enjoying the birds and the sounds of the outdoors. Dan and Liz and Martin and their crews are very professional.

I liked the owner and the workers, however the deck took 6 months to complete and the there was normally just one or two workers, and many weeks between deck work taking place. Part of the delay had to do with Covid and the availability of wood. The deck was completed with a number of issues, some that could be rectified and some that had to be left. I would have liked to have known during the construction why delays were taking place.

We needed to replace our almost 30 year old deck. On the advice of a person in our neighborhood we requested a quote from Deck Masters of Tennessee. Dan, the owner, came out and discussed our options with us. He answered all our questions and we went with a screened porch and concrete patio. To be honest, the project took longer than we expected, but it was in the middle of the pandemic.

The permit process took longer than expected, wood was in short supply, and sub contractors were hard to get. None of this was Deck Masters fault. Their crews were hard working and conscientious. Martin, the crew leader was exceptional. He is extremely knowledgeable about construction and pays close attention to detail; if something wasn't done to his satisfaction it was corrected.

Even though progress was slow at times we were kept advised. We also know that during this period prices were rising but Dan did not expect us to pay more than the original quote. We have already been enjoying our screen room and are looking forward to many more years of enjoyment. Thank you Deck Masters of Tennessee!

It is hard to put into words what a wonderful experience my wife and I have had with Deck Masters of TN. We desperately needed help after being swindled by a person using a fraudulent contractors license. We hired this other person to add a front porch with roof, gable, and a deck for our master bedroom. They quit before completing the job and that is when our nightmare really began.

It turned out this person was using a defunct license, didn't build our structures to code and they were very, very unsafe. Trying to find a company to help resolve these issues was more difficult than I can put into words. I literally called more than 150 different companies. Many didn't want anything to do with the job. Others saw it as an opportunity to overcharge us.

Some of the bids were so high, we could have build a new house with it! When I finally came across Deck Masters of TN and spoke with the owner Dan, everything turned around. I could tell from speaking with Dan that he was the real deal. He's built a tremendously successful company over several decades. Dan threw me a life line in a real way by taking this job on.

He and the gentleman who overseas all of the construction work (Martin) came out to my home to look at everything. I could tell I was dealing with two talented, ethical and good hearted individuals in Dan and Martin. Martin is the gentleman who led the construction work and he is an absolute master craftsman. Knowing he was on the job meant the quality of work and professionalism would always be a 10 out of 10.

Very talented. Between Dan and Martin, this was unequivocally the most impressive and positive experience my wife and I have ever had in the remodeling world. The work ended up even better than we could have imagined and we owe Dan and Martin a debt of gratitude. To sum it up, these guys are the real deal. In an industry where no one seems to be who they say they are, ethics are no where to be found, and once you fork over the money, it all takes a turn for the worse; these guys are true standouts. Doing business with these guys means you're dealing with the pinnacle of this craft. Thank you Dan and Martin. My wife and I are truly grateful that you fixed the mess we were left with and made our home look beautiful. You guys are hero's in our book.

We chose Deck Masters to replace our very rundown deck and they executed our vision perfectly. We were very particular, and the before and after is astounding! We couldn't be more impressed with the craftsmanship and quality of our deck. I contacted 4 companies for quotes. Deck Masters was 1 of only 2 that actually showed up to quote it, and were the only company to return the quote when promised. They had a better price than the other company. They showed up to work when they promised. The deck turned out great. Martin and his crew turned our old worn out deck into a place my family loves to hang out now. Thank you Deck Masters

I was initially happy with this company, as the owner Dan came by to inspect the problems I was having with my deck and gave me some good advice, including a verbal quote for repairs. However, every attempt at contacting him since then has been ignored. Over 10 calls, over 20 texts. Emails. Facebook. Sadly, this company is ignoring me completely, which I find very unprofessional. For that reason, I need to leave a bad review so others know that this is not the contractor to hire.

Deck Masters is amazing. I love how easy the owner Dan was to work with! He gave us great recommendations and ended up saving us money in the long run. He really took the time to consult with us before starting the project but then once things were settled - they finished the whole project in only two weeks! The outdoor portion was part of an overall upstairs studio project my husband and I have been planning. Well though there's still a lot to do inside the studio - the outside is DONE and looking FANTASTIC thanks to Deck Masters.

This is a bad company; I only gave them 1 star because Mr. Paxton came by my place. They sound like they are interested, but, are not. Around Aug 30 Mr. Paxton (the owner) came by, we talked about different possibilities on my deck and he said he would contact me by that Friday but no later than the 6th. Never heard from him. I emailed him around the 8th-no reply then got a reply on the 10th were he said he "emailed me Friday morning".

End of message. I never recieved any emails and told him so then asked if he would please resend the estimates. On the 12th I get an email that said "Try this Barbara" and all it had was 1 estimate that was basic and had a huge price for the job(I was needing some repair not an entire deck). Apparently we are to bow down to this business as their time is far more important than anyone else.

I have no idea why this man was hateful, disrespectful and unprofessional. If you don't want to do the job just say so. don't just not call after you say will. Bad business-no ethics. Don't waste your time.
