Herman Plumbing Co. was established in 1938 by Al Herman to provide the Grand Island community with quality plumbing services. In 1971, Al's sons Bob and John Herman assumed overall operation of the business and continued to provide the highest standard of PLUMBING SERVICES the community had come to know them for.Currently Bob and John, along with Bob's daughter, Erin Harston, run the business and provide service to a large range of clients. From the first time we opened our doors, Herman Plumbing has provided plumbing for large projects and service for residential and commercial businesses. Since being operated by Bob and John, we have specialized in industrial service and repair.

Have had wonderful experiences with Herman Plumbing. Super friendly, kind, and professional plumbers that do a great job. The last job they completed for me was estimated to be a full day job and they worked so hard to complete it faster than they had estimated, which saved me a ton in labor cost. They also were very conscientious about materials cost and did what they could to cut down on that, as well. I will always use Herman Plumbing!

I had an issue on a Sunday that couldn't wait until Monday. I called and scheduled an appointment for that day. They told me the rates and said that the techs were on another call and would call me when they were coming. A tech called me shortly after to let me know when he'd be there. He called a while later to let me know he'd be later because of the job he was currently on.
When they showed up, they were very professional and got the job done quickly. I highly recommend Herman's to anyone in the Grand Island area. They do great work and have great communication!

We bought our home in 2005. We had a bathroom added in the basement and while Dwayne was doing that we had him put sump pumps in our 2 pits and plumb them to the outside. This was based upon his advice. Well, those pits have remained dry until 05/24/2020. On 05/24/2020 I heard this little humming sound coming from the basement. The pumps had kicked on just like they were supposed to and the outdoor piping was getting rid of the water to the storm sewer as Dwayne designed it to. Thank you!

Herman Plumbing is the best in GI! They have been out 3 times in the last month try to help us figure out issue in spare room in basement. Kept leaking, thought it was clogged, it wasn't. Then they came out again and it was clogged, rooted it and was fine a few days then leaked again! We pulled all the walls and framing out before they got here. Turned out an open forgotten pipe from old toilet used to be in there, they just put walls up, pipe corroded, and every time shower/tub used it leaked into basement.
They fixed it all up and sealed off so no sewer gas got into basement. The guys are so patient and nice to work with! Worth every penny! Would highly recommend yo everyone for best plumbing services in GI!

I am the maintenance director for a property management company. Herman Plumbing is a great company they are fast adequate and always get the job done. We have used many other companies over the years Herman Plumbing is by far the best company for any type of plumbing issue. They have great personnel kind friendly and I highly recommend them.

Moved to Grand Island Nebraska about 4 months ago. Purchased a nice older home. Had a older toilet and it started leaking into my basement. I was worried. Called Herman's. Larry showed up early, was extremely professional and cool. He not only got my new toilet in with no issue, he also answered a few other questions and showed me some things about my underground sprinkler system. I will definitely call Herman's again if I have plumbing issues!

First choice in plumbing service. Have used them for many years, and have always been amazed at how they go above and beyond, EVERYTIME. A recent leak in the city water main leading to our house had them searching to find the source when they could have shrugged, told us to call the city, and gone on to another job. Our experience is that the crew charges for the work done, and rarely for the time spent. If you have water issues, they are great therapists (!) Highest recommendation.

I have used Herman Plumbimg twice in the last year and a half. One time was for a septic problem.and most recently for a completely clogged kitchen sink drain. Both times they were able to come out the same day I called.which I appreciate greatly.as anyone knows, these issues need to be resolved quickly! The people they sent out were very professional and knew what they were doing, and they cleaned up after themselves. Hopefully we won't have any more issues in our home that need attention, but if we do, we will definitely contact Herman Plumbing.

Fantastic! Was having a problem with a leaky waste line for my washer, and when I got a good look at it found the whole cast iron mess was cracked. They sent a plumber and assistant over within a few days who were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and put up with all my questions even as he worked. Great guy, great business, comes highly recommended.

I have used Herman Plumbing several times and each time they have done work for me they have done an excellent job. As far as I am concerned the staff are very good at what they do and are very courteous and friendly each time I speak with them, plus they are always very prompt and I appreciate that very much. I have no complaints, these guys are great.

The staff at Herman Plumbing did a really good job explaining the issue that we were having and were able to fix it on their first trip out. They even took the time to show me the issue so i would see it happen before it was too late again! I thought that was very nice of him. I will definitely be doing business with them again.
