Insulation

More and more lawsuits are being filed against builders due to sound transmissions or STC ratings in hotel construction and doctor's offices. Most are due to the subcontractor not installing the correct sound insulation in walls, metal stud framing centers, or sound board to achieve the correct STC rating.

Veneer Plaster

Hard Coat or better known as veneer plaster is a specialty trade that takes skilled plaster mechanics to complete the job in the right manner. This type of finish can be expensive but can also provide a very clean finish that is highly resistant to cracking, nail popping and abrasive failure for an owner.

Stucco

Report

Most stucco system failure is caused by poor installation by untrained, unmanaged field crews whose goal is to beat the clock and get paid. They are not allowing the stucco to cure between coats, not controlling hydration of the stucco, and painting too soon over uncured stucco, abating its curing process. When stucco is not hydrated correctly it will lead to excessive cracking.
