Cardinal Planning & Design Cardinal Surveying offers land surveying for all of your residential and commercial needs. We take professional pride in performing each survey project accurately, on time, and at a competitive price. Cardinal Surveying has eighteen years of Land Surveying experience in the Metro Louisville area and we are licensed in Indiana.

We are a full service land surveying company which utilizes the latest technology including GPS, Robotics with onboard data collection, and all surveys are completed in digital format. Our experienced field team routinely conducts boundary surveys, F.E.M.A. Elevation Certificates, A.L.T.A. surveys, construction layout, and a variety of other surveying services.

Minor Plats
Report
We prepare minor plats as required by Louisville Metro Planning Commission to divide property or move property lines between parcels in Jefferson County. We also do minor plats in Bullitt, Shelby and Oldham County.
Fence Line Placement
Report
Putting up a fence? We will come out located your property corners and place stakes where you want a fence. If necessary, we will do a partial boundary and set/reset any missing property corners.
Boundary
Report
We will research the recorded records for you and your neighbor's property. Utilizing this research we will mark your boundary as well as produce a drawing of our final opinion. We can also assist if you have an encroachment or other boundary location issue with a neighboring landowner.
Alta / Acsm
Report
We have extensive experience with American Land Title Association surveys and their requirements. Please do not hesitate to call for details.
Subdivision Design & Layout
Report
We prepare record plats and minor subdivision plats if you are dividing up your property into separate lots. Our engineering department will prepare construction plans, sewer and drainage plans, and roads plans for your project.

Tried to schedule them to come Mark my boundaries at my house, they told me they are 6 weeks behind. I said I would wait, and the lady said they would get back to me. 6 weeks came and went with no call. So I called them back and they told me they had no record of me calling or scheduling anything. Really frustrating. If I did want to be seen again their version of making it right was making me wait until they were good and ready again. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one was because the lady I did talk to originally was very sweet and understanding. The follow-up? Not so much.

Super easy to work with have an excellent staff that is very knowledgeable and has helped us out numerous times from staking new plots to finding out boundary lines and existing subdivision.

When I needed a survey in a shorter amount of time, they tried to charge me $3000 for something Id had done in the past for around $475.00. Taken aback, I probably could have used a better choice of wording for the response I gave, and for that I apologise, but feel like they tried to take advantage of a situation with me and rip me off. Not going to use them for any account, but I know their work is good, even if their practices were not.
