Before selecting this company dont do what we did and trust them to their word. We decided to remodel our entire kitchen, Bobby came out and measured a couple of times and told us 6-8weeks. At the 7 week mark (we) called and they told us we needed to come in and pick the colors and handles. Week 9 we again called and they scheduled us for a 2 day install.
The day before my wife called to confirm and was told someone contracted the COVID and they had to shut the production plant and it would be 2 more weeks. Week 11 we once again called and was scheduled for Monday and possibly Tuesday (yes today) and Monday we were told their truck was broke down and they never came. Today we had to call them again and was finally told the truth.
We are told the cabinets got put on the back burner and they were only 98% complete drying from the paint. Now mind you after the cabinets are installed you still have to wait for 7 business days for the counter tops. Lord only knows how that will go. This company will lie to your face, make up false excuses and will not keep you informed. If that is the way you want to spend your money then by all means go waste your time and money. All I can say honesty and the value of customer service from this company and they would have received a much better rating/review than what I just gave them.

Would not recommend this company. Did a complete remodel of kitchen and bathroom. The owner said project would be completed in 8 weeks, but project took 9 months. Quality of the work was subpar and needed to be redone. One mishap after another, resulting in damage to our purchased materials with no responsibility from company. There was a high turnover of staff, so project went weeks without work. Communication with the owner was poor and there was no oversight over work. This is a highly unorganized company.

While my cabinents are beautiful, I would not recommend this company. The owner told me the job would be done in 2 days. I figured a week maybe 2 weeks, but 3 months later the job was finally finished. First, they sent 2 guys to remove my exsisting granite countertops. Needless to say they broke my granite. Then, the cabinets were to be installed in a Wednesday, but I received a call an hour before the installer was to show up to my house letting me know it would be Thursday before someone could come out.
I wasted my day waiting for them. When they did show up it took 2 days to install the cabinets, cool. Well, not really.they screw a whole right through my hallway wall. Fantastic! Also, the installer didn't finish putting up the scribe and none of the caulking was dont. Several weeks later someone came out to measure for my new countertops, Great!
A week later, I called to find out when they were going to install. The granite folks told me that they never received the down payment from Kempsville Cabinets. My husband called to rip them a new one. Yet another week goes by, finally we get the countertops installed only to find out they didn't cut the granite to my sink. Not Kempsville Cabinets fault. Now, this is now the end of August and I didnt have water to my kitchen now for 6 weeks.
Not a happy camper at this point. So, Kempsville called to let me know that the plumber would be at my house at 3 p.m on a Thrusday. When he wasn't there at 3, my husband called.they guy didnt even know he was supposed to be at my house. He did show up and didn't leave until 9PM. I felt bad and fed him dinner. GREAT, I have water. Well, now the rest of the work needs to be done.
They contracted some folks to do my backsplash, which is wonderful! But the guy, from Kempsville Cabinets, who was there to install my venthood, caulk, finish the scribe work, and fix the doors that the hinges popped off only did one of those things. We are now well into September. I still need the venthood over my stove to be connected and my kitchen painted and the whole in my hallway fixed. It took them another month to finish the job.

They built us a beautiful Kitchen Island, and were really easy to work with and priced fair. The best part was one of my contractors wiped something on my cabinet doors causing the finish to fog and crack. I finally reached out to them a couple months after install and they replaced my doors free of charge. I could not be appreciative of their service and empathy for my situation. Great local company! Highly recommend!

I remodeled my kitchen and first floor. Kempsville Cabinets failed at everything that is important. I do not recommend this company. The work took 3.5 times longer than stated (most of a year), because of redoes, incompetence, lack of coordination with subcontractors, lack of ordering supplies in a timely manner, general lack of management. Some of my issues directly relate to the poor performance of the owner/supervisor.
During the entire process, communication with the owner was minimal. He quite often did not return calls, scheduled work with frequent no-shows by his staff and contractors, and provided no onsite supervisor to give workers direction and inspect work after completion. Due to the inexperience or overall unreliability of the staff, most activities had to be redone or corrected in some fashion.
There was also a great deal of turnover of employees among staff. Some employees complained of mistreatment by the owner, and consequently quit. However, others were fired by the owner for incompetence. There were never apologies for the various delays and redoes. Both the owner and some staff lied to me numerous times. I was told numerous times, for example, that items had been ordered, but found out months later that they had not.
In hindsight, I would have been better off subcontracting the work myself. I had to perform many of the functions of an onsite supervisor, coordinator, scheduler, and inspector. Those functions are supposed to be performed by the prime contractor. That is why I hired them. My remodel with Kempsville Cabinets was a horrible experience. Save yourself grief and find a quality company.
