The Architect's responsibility during the Schematic Design Phase is to effectively illustrate the pros and cons of more than one solution. It is our experience that rushing in to one solution too soon ultimately wastes time and jeopardizes the integrity of the project in the later stages of design, or worse, in the Construction phase.

We will ask the right questions and give you the appropriate feedback to move your project forward. We encourage you to bring interior and exterior pictures you admire. We request that you provide us with a copy of the survey of your property. Be prepared to discuss your construction budget and time schedule.

Talked to them about plans for a house addition. Like the other reviewer said DF was quite pompous and has a hard time listening. He spends a lot of time talking over you and not letting you speak. He needs to learn how to treat the customers who are paying him money, very bizarre. Would not recommend at all. There may be some people who enjoy paying someone to treat you like dirt but certainly not me. In the end I didn't use his services and was quite happy about that.

David Fleming and his staff took an existing footprint after a devastating fire and redesigned a home that would fully accommodate new and evolving needs of a disabled veteran and family with an open floor plan, reconfigured bedrooms, and a home that is beautiful, open and easy. His professionalism, diving down into the details of an existing lot and code upgrades all the way through the fine-tuning of closets and shelving made David a joy to work with. His work was on-time and budget and. plans were clear and detailed. I cannot recommend him more highly!

Stop and please go somewhere else. This place does not listen to what you want and up charges when you try to express changes you want made. Horrible experience and a waste of money. Never got what I wanted had to pay his fee for something I can not ever use. I had to find another architect for our home. I wish I know how unprofessional and bad his work really is before working with him. I am the customer and he treated us like he was in charge. So sad and disappointing. David Fleming was a nightmare to work with.

Had them do drawings for a garage addition, started off well enough. Once they received payment for 95% completion they stopped responding to emails. After over a month of no response to any emails they said the drawings were ready. Once I started getting estimates, the contractors said the materials specified in the drawings were excessive for a garage and didn't exist in the dimensions specified.

I sent another email in early July with a question about alternatives and haven't received any response over 2 months later. At this point I'm going to have to pay to have the drawings redone. Total waste of $1200. Beware!

David @ DRF with Daniel were an absolute pleasure to work with on the design of our new home. We live out of state and had zero communication issues. We were treated like their only client at all times. We had all questions answered and concerns addressed. We will post pictures of our masterpiece upon completion. If looking for a design firm look no further! DRF is under priced for the level of detail and attention you will receive!
