Rekeying
Report
So when a locksmith says he is rekeying your locks what is he doing exactly? Rekeying locks is changing the lock, allowing a different key to make the lock open. There are several reasons for a lock to be re keyed, but to get this done, it will require the services of a professional locksmith. Rekeying was invented in 1836 by a man named Solomon Andrews.

Hands down the best locksmith I've used ever! I reached out to five locksmiths for quotes to rekey all the locks in my recently purchased condo and these guys were the quickest to get me back with the best bid. My appointment was scheduled for the next day and my tech were on time, very efficient and professional. It took him only 30 mins to complete the job and I couldn't have been happier with the results. Thank you guys, you are definitely going to be on my speed dial for any future needs.

I called West Hollywood locksmith explaining the issue I was having with my door to the receptionist who assigned a technician who then called me and then hung up on me for no reason. I then I had to call the Receptionist back and then the technician called me back again and asked for pictures of my lock after explain the problem. It's been 2 hrs and no response. The one stars based on customer service as well as transparency

I was locked out of my apartment and called right away. They told me 20 mins, but I received a call right away. Within 14 mins Ben arrived and began helping me. They were super professional, kind, and helpful. They looked at my lock, gave a fair and good quote, and after 10 minutes I was in my apartment again. Would highly recommend using this service. They are quick, professional and helpful. Best in this area.

Called a technician from Locksmith West Hollywood to come and replace 3 of my faulty locks, quoted me at 25 and up for each of them, locksmith inspected the locks and was nice enough to inform me they could just be repaired with a simple fix, ive dealt with shady locksmiths before and I was afraid this would be the same but the price was very fair.

I am writing this to warn potential customers of unethical pricing behavior. I called a locksmith nearby and received a quote for $75 after articulating extensively what I needed. They informed me that my only option was to cut the lock. I then called West Hollywood Locksmith to get an estimate. I told them I had another quote of $75 and gave them the same extensive description.
They offered a more competitive quote of $60 total ($15 for the service call, and $45 for labor). And so I decided to go with West Hollywood Locksmith. The locksmith arrived in 20 minutes. He was very kind and professional. I have no issue with his behavior or integrity. He insisted his supervisors told him to charge $100 labor fee in addition to the $15 service call.
He immediately suggested I call the shop to ask them if they would honor their original quote. I spent an hour going back and forth with the same woman that offered me the $60 quote. She gave a false quote or deliberately underbid to get the technician there. After an uncomfortable hour of the locksmith standing there with the appropriate tool to remove the bike, I paid $15 for his time, and elected to not pay their $100 job fee.
I went to a local hardware store and purchased a grinder and did it myself. It was ultimately cheaper than hiring a locksmith. Yet, I would have supported a local company happily if they were honest. Consumers please be advised of West Hollywood Locksmith and their pricing practices.

Coming back from work I lost my car keys, after looking for about an hour I knew they were gone, could be anywhere. So being not only locked out of my car, but unable to start my car in the event it opened, I called Locksmith West Hollywood, a guy showed in 25 minutes, he gave me a fee much cheaper then what the dealer offered price wise for a new key, and made it on the spot.
