As a merit shop, Votaw Electric is a sponsor of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). With 90 employees and 40 years experience in business, we have expanded in response to customer needs to provide control systems, communication cabling, and power quality services in addition to conventional electrical contracting.

Called to get a quote for some substantial work at the business I manage. Was sent to someones voice mail and left a message. Waited 3 days and no return call. Called them back and there was no one there to talk to me. They called me back that day. They acted like I wasn't worth their time and that getting me a quote was going to be too much work for them. Wanted to know how soon I wanted the quote then acted as though their schedule was just too busy to quote my job. This is a $10-$15K job. I'll take my business somewhere else.

I don't know if I told you, we had our first high resistance ground issue. We traced the fault from the service to a cooling fan in about 20 minutes. The fault was in a cooling fan motor which cools every pump in our facility. Without the HR ground the refinery would have shut down for sure. We replaced the fan motor the next day with no overtime or down time at all.
