Edgewater Contractors and Jay Anderson built us an extraordinary home in Emerald Harbor on Longboat Key. I have built many homes over the years as well as several commercial buildings, but this journey was probably the best that I have ever encountered. My husband and I purchased a unique high end home on Longboat Key. We knew what we needed to do to renovate the property to our vision. The house is complicated and sophisticated. This required extensive knowledge of the structure and transforming areas such as the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, ceilings and more. Jay Anderson took us onboard and took the bull by the horns.

There were nuances to projects that Jay always came up with answers to, that others may have backed away from and say it could not be done. Not Jay. he tackled the challenges with grace and conviction. Quality is always the priority with him. His subs are excellent and there was never an issue with anyone he chose to work with us. They were all skilled and professional.

I would bounce design ideas off Jay always, and many times he led me to a resolution that was better than I envisioned. His knowledge of construction is outstanding. I am sure he saved us money by avoiding mistakes we could have made. He came up with resolutions to problems with his years of experience. We could not have chosen a better contractor to create the final result we were after.

Jay Anderson does high quality workmanship. His subcontractors are excellent and he will not forgo the quality of his work with a lesser subcontractor. Sometimes one waits longer than anticipated for a subcontractor who is busy; but, it is worth the wait, as the job gets done correctly. Jay is honest and trustworthy. If he says he will do something, he does it.

If a mistake is made, he corrects it. Sometimes he finds the mistake that is unknown to the customer, he advises the client and makes the correction. He does not cut corners or use inferior materials and he abides by all town codes and state regulations. He is a gentleman, a pleasure to work with and treats you as a client for life. Jay did a complete remodel of my condo 10 years ago and custom built my new home this past year. He is a choice you will not regret.
