Municipalities have water and sewer systems that are over a century old and treatment plants that can no longer comply with ever-changing, stricter regulations. Our road and highway systems cannot keep up with constantly increasing volumes of traffic.

Throughout the $2.3M dollar advanced site work portion of the contract the civil design has been both timely and accurate with minimal changes and corrections. Hurt and Proffitt has been responsive to the Authority's needs and very helpful in negotiations and planning during the design phase ofthe project.

In 2005, the Town of Charlotte Court House selected Hurt & Proffitt, Inc. to provide engineering services for a large water improvements project. Hurt & Proffitt, Inc., was the engineering group that worked with our general contractor and architect to build our middle school in Charlotte County. Appomattox County Public Schools selected Hurt & Proffitt, Inc., to do the required independent testing during construction of our new elementary school. We have found their work to be correct and complete. All testing has been properly documented and they have always been on-site when requested. Above all, their personnel have been most cooperative with our requests.

We have been very pleased in our decision of selecting Hurt and Proffitt, as they have been very proactive not only in the design aspect of the water system upgrades, but also in securing the necessary funding to complete the project.
