We called RC Electric and had Ryan come out to give us a quote on running a sub-panel and the electrical rough-in for our basement renovation. He showed up on time, answered all my questions, and was knowledgeable. It wasn't until we got the itemized quote that we were upset. Out of 7 different electricians we received quotes from, RC Electric was by far the highest.
They wanted to charge us $10,150 for the same job that I just paid $5,500 for. Even the second highest estimate was only $7,500. So why was I being charged so much more you ask? Answer: Marked up parts and almost double labor costs. A simple example was the cost of the 100-Amp sub-panel. RC Electric wanted to charge me $879 just for the sub-panel and that doesn't include the breakers or the cost of running the wire from the main panel to the new sub-panel.
The electrician I used only charged $350 for a 100-Amp sub-panel parts and that included the cost of the breakers. As I read further through the rest of the quote, it was the same thing repeated. Price increases on everything. I will never use RC Electric even if they did amazing work. Take some advice from me and always get 5-7 quotes for the same job so you don't get screwed out of your hard earned money.

Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness They came out to hook up a desiccant needed to dry out our crawl space. When they connected the desiccant, they disconnected our central air without our permission or knowledge. And did not re-connect our central air until the following day. The unit has not worked since they disconnected it.

RC Electric was recommended by an electrician friend. The GFI plug in our garage failed, knocking out the entire electrical circuit in our garage. We had a refrigerator / freezer on the circuit as well as our garage doors. I called RC Electric before they opened, expecting to leave a voicemail. Much to my surprise, one of the owners answered the phone and took my information.
They followed up with my wife immediately upon opening for business, and they sent an electrician to our house to resolve the issue before noon. We were back in business with no loss of the food in our refrigerator / freezer. RC Electric completed the job quickly, professionally and at a fair and reasonable price. I would definitely call RC Electric again should the need arise.

Requested an estimate May 4, 2018. Met with Brett May 11, 2018 to review the work needed & was told it would be mid-June. I called back June 13th & was told to call back June 20th to schedule work. I called June 21st & was told his company was too busy to handle the project. I have lost a whole month on this project. A true professional would have admitted to being too small to handle a job when he saw what the job was on May 11.

Highly recommend RC Electric. Called and spoke to Melissa in the office about adding lighting to our home. Brett Walker called to confirm the needed repairs and scheduled the service his guys showed up on time and finished the job on time. Since that time we had them come and add outside wiring for a pool heater. Great Job Do yourself a favor and give them a call.
